Hobbies:
Flower Arrangement || Xiao picked this up from a class his mother encouraged him to take. He discovered he enjoyed playing with color and type of flowers, and arranging them to his liking. His room is filled with arrangements of dried flowers, and he likes giving them to friends as gifts.
Drawing || Xiao loves to draw, and has been taking art classes since he was five. At first, it was just slobbery fingerpainting, but now he is reasonably talented. He doodles on everything, from notes to the backside of tests, and he receives sets of drawing pencils, pens, and colored pencils for his birthday and Christmas most years from friends and family.
Poetry || Xiao doesn't quite have a knack for prose writing, but he does love poetry. He mostly sticks to short poems, and tends not to share them with others because he doesn't feel they're particularly good. All of his poems are illustrated, though, be it a depiction of the poem itself or just a pretty border on the page!
Virtues:
Imaginative || Xiao loves to create in his head. He can paint a full scene and compose it on paper, and his imagination is a beautiful place. This also extends to solving problems, where he tends to be fairly good at coming up with creative solutions. He has an eye for the interesting way out of things! This mostly shows up if there's something that needs figuring out, though it takes a lot of coaxing and usually some serious desperation to get him to finally speak up.
Compassionate || Xiao cares. About everyone. He really, truly does. However, his withdrawn nature means that he tends to avoid overt gestures, and so instead he shares his compassion in smaller ways that are often not quite traceable back to him. For instance, if he heard someone mention feeling down, he would send them a small, anonymous note or drawing meant to make them feel better.
Devoted || If given a cause, a friend, a family member, Xiao is by their side until the end. He will do anything for those he cares about, and will never waver in caring for them. Once Xiao takes on a commitment, he sees it through to the end.
Flaws:
Withdrawn || Xiao does not speak often, and is extremely shy. This makes it very difficult for him to make new friends. It is partially because he is so very lost in his own imagination, and partially because people truly do frighten him.
Sensitive || It is very easy to hurt Xiao's feelings and make him cry. He takes things very personally and deeply to heart. While he tries not to cry in front of others, he often cannot help it, and it sometimes makes him look far younger than his years.
Unassertive || Xiao absolutely chokes on disagreement. He cannot raise her voice or assert himself, and it often means that he ends up in situations in which he is unhappy or uncomfortable simply because he couldn't say no. If it were something important, he could speak up, but in most cases he simply shrinks into himself and goes along with what the group or another person wants.
