Hobbies: scrapbooking/journaling -- Ever since her move to the big city, Ciela has been taking in the sights and sounds around her, and wanting to chronicle every moment of her life. There's so much to see, so much to do, etc, and it's important to record it all for posterity, for if or when she has to return home to the countryside farmland she grew up in. Sure, scrapbooking might be something of an outdated hobby to some these days, but she finds it enjoyable enough.
making connections -- Due to her somewhat sheltered upbringing and living out in the rural countryside, Ciela never really made very many friends growing up, seeing as there weren't particularly many children around her age around. As a result, she's made it a point to get into the habit of networking, now that she's living in a big city inhabited by many many people. Even if she can't befriend 'em all, Ciela tries her best to make lasting connections with those she encounters in her daily life, wanting to get to know as many people as she can.
Virtues: dependable -- Ciela does her best to be seen as a dependable person that can be counted on to be there for others as needed, as well as a pleasant person overall. From the simplest things such as just showing up for work on time, or something such as either giving a friend a ride if needed, or spotting them a buck or two for something if they're short, Ciela wants people to know they can rely on her to be there for them, but also, she wants them to see her as a trustworthy friend they can feel comfortable around! This may or may not occasionally lead to her being taken advantage of, but Ciela would rather it been that she helped than to have not helped at all.
"miss congeniality" -- For someone who has made a hobby out of making new connections with those she meets in her daily life, it's no surprise then that Ciela likes meeting new people and making their acquaintance. Ciela was brought up with the golden rule of treating others the way she wanted to be treated in return, lessons she's taken to heart even to this day. She may not have attended public school up until her uni years, but if she had, she would have likely been nominated for one of those senior superlatives like 'most likely to brighten someone's day' or perhaps something like 'most likely to put others first'. Ciela is overall a kind and pleasant person to be around, or simply just a very good girl.
Flaws: sheltered to a fault -- Ciela likes helping others and genuinely wants to help out because that's just how she was raised. At the same time, that's the problem; being raised on a farm and homeschooled, while living out in the countryside (and thus having limited contact with other people) has led Ciela to be incredibly blind sometimes to the fact that people can and will take advantage of the kindness she offers. It could be said that it's a work in progress to undo the habit of offering her help to everyone she comes across, but even being taken advantage of before should have already been once too many. Still, it'll take more than simply being swindled out of her lunch money for her to stop and see reason.
a stubborn pluck -- Ciela doesn't believe in the concept of giving up or surrendering. She believes that if she just keeps trying at it, that she can accomplish what she's set out to do, no matter how impossible the odds may be stacked against her or how long it takes to do it. Even if all others may have given up by now, Ciela believes that if she just keeps trying and trying again, things will turn out the way she wants. It's endearing up until the part where it isn't-- her lofty ambitions will only serve to lead to her downfall one day, most likely.
