Lonnie sat outside of the bookshop when it was time for Judas to get off work and sent a quick text message confirming that he was indeed there. He waited until Judas came into view before he unlocked the passenger's side door and leaned against the window, looking at the male with a slightly bemused expression. “Did you have a good day? I’m surprised that you are allowing me to pick you up, your boss made it seem as though you were simply going to vanish into the ether if I spent any time with you.”
When Judas was seated and buckled, he locked the doors and began driving.
“I told him to mind his own business. There are no feelings here, nor will there be, I think. You and I know what we’re doing and if he wants to meddle, he can go and play a simulation game and meddle until his heart is content.” That was frank and to the point, and hopefully, Judas would agree with him on everything that was said.
“I will hire someone to take him out though, if you give me your permission. I hate meddlers.”

"I wanted to put Jean through a wall a few times but other then that... It was decent." He said, sliding into the car. Judas paused though at the mention of Harker. Well ********.. Did he now?" He asked tentatively. "Don't... Don't mind him too much. He's been through quite a bit and is protective of people he's deemed as family." Judas fumbled with his phone for a moment, suddenly wishing he had a hoodie, so he had somewhere to shove his hands. "What else did he say?" The brunette turned, opting to stare out the window instead of comment on feelings. "I don't recommend it." He said quietly. "That will be more then even you can handle. His brick wall of a boyfriend wouldn't take well to that. Plus, his twin brother's already beat you to that."

“I’m quite sure that I could manage.” Lonnie said rather cooly, keeping his focus on the road. “A boyfriend and a twin would be no match for me. Besides, A little fear might do him some good.” His eyes flickered to Judas and the smallest of smug smiles played about his lips.
“Anyway. He should mind his own business if he knows what’s good for him, and that’s all I’ll say on the matter. Where am I taking you? What’s your address, Judas?”
If he was going to end up playing cat and mouse…well. Lonnie would simply find all of the hiding holes now and then deal with whatever fall out happened later.
“Maybe I could stay over for a bit and we could order some food?”

"No. I mean the twin is trying to kill him. And from the stories I've heard, I think there's very little you could do to evoke fear in him." Harker's father had seen to that.
Aaah... Hadn't he gotten himself into a pickle. Showing Lonnie where he worked, now where he lived. He really had ******** up. Maybe he would just ditch the city for a bit. See if the Negaverse would transfer him somewhere else on an assignment.
"Don't let him rent space in your head. I think... I know what he's going on about. I'll talk to him about it later. Don't worry your pretty little head. As for where I live... Just head down this street for about 3 lights, gray house that looks... way to big for one person." Judas sighed. "You can't miss it. My place isn't as nice as yours is. Fair warning."

“Oh. Why is his twin trying to kill him? That sounds…quite interesting.” He grinned suddenly, looking once more at Judas. “...Do you think his twin would pay me if I did the job for him? I’m sure that I could. It really wouldn’t be difficult.” He said nothing about the location of Judas’ house, just continued to drive.
Finally though. “I wouldn’t expect it to be as nice as mine. I’m a firm believer in feng shui, and I make sure my home flows correctly. Things are moved quite often and I take a lot of pride in it.” He paused at a red light and reached over, taking hold of Judas’ hand, slipping his fingers between those of the male.
“He won’t rent space in my head. He can’t afford my price range.”

"Do not get involved with that." Judas suddenly hissed, as if he was burned. "Johnathan is psychotic enough. Harker's ******** lucky to be alive, the fact he has to deal with what he does, and what he already has is.." Judas scrubbed at his face, sighing. "Just.... Just ignore him." God he should have grabbed his spare hoodie before leaving work. "If you feel like rearranging the place. Be my guest. I'll tell you what room to stay out of though." When Lonnie took his hand, Judas about jumped out of his skin. "Sorry. Just thinking about his brother pisses me off." He muttered. A partial lie, but not the whole truth either. Judas snorted. "Won't let the one with money rent space, but you entertain the street rat." Judas didn't understand it. He appreciated it, but didn't understand it. Not that it should matter anyway. As Lonnie said, there are no feelings, nor would there be.

“The street rat speaks my language and makes me smile every so often. The street rat is worth entertaining.”
He glanced at the houses and pulled into the driveway of the one he thought might be right. “I’m going to assume this is your home, and if I’m wrong, I’m going to hope you’ll correct me before we go inside and startle whoever actually lives here.”
Lonnie’s lips twitched. “I don’t like people who meddle. I don’t enjoy being told that I shouldn’t do what I want to do when I want to do it. It’s none of his business and he has no right to pretend that it is. Who you or I see, spend time with or ******** is nobody’s business but our own. And I hope that you agree with that.”
His thumb caressed the back of Judas’ hand, trying to soothe him. He had gone too far, he did realize that much but.
He said what he said, and felt what he felt, and Harker was a jerk.

Judas hummed, choosing to not comment further on himself. "This is it yeah." He glanced at the house, fishing out his keys. "He's just being... protective. I guess. Harker doesn't like seeing people get hurt. He's seen enough of it. I don't know what to tell you without getting into it." And he didn't want to get into it. Any of it. He hummed again, glancing at their hands for a moment before nodding his head at the house. "Come on. Maybe we can find the rest of that show we were watching and piece something acceptable together for dinner." Maybe this would be enough to start the divide.

“Oh, you want to trust me to cook, hm?”
Lonnie chuckled and shook his head, following Judas out of the car and towards the house, capturing his hand once they were both out of the car and lifting it to his lips, pressing a kiss to his knuckle.
“...I think it’s best that we just order in, you’re not ready for my cooking.”
The words were as flat as ever, but there was a strange dancing light in his eyes.
“I need time to prepare if I’m going to be cooking.”

"You say that, but I guarentee you it can't be worse then mine. Short of some things, my room mates did it." But now, it was just him. Judas was not ready for a lot of things, not just Lonnie's cooking. "Let's see what I have first, as you said it might just be better to order out." Judas tried to rack his brain to remember what he had. "You're... not the biggest fan of foods with meat right?" He asked tentatively. Judas hadn't seen him eatting anything with meat but.. Just cause he didn't see it, didn't mean it wasn't a thing. The shorter man shrugged. "...Maybe pasta?" He muttered, mostly to himself as he unlocked the door with another sigh. "Sorry it's not the most... glamourous of things." Judas grimaced. He tossed his keys on the little table by the door. "You're free to wander about. Just...There's a bedroom door that's closed, all I ask is you keep it closed."

Lonnie paused and stared at Judas for a long moment, frowning slightly as his heart did something…strange in his chest.
He had noticed that Lonnie hadn’t eaten meat? That…was absolutely unexpected and…strange but.
…Oddly pleasing.
“I’m…not a fan of meat, no. I’ll eat it if I have to but…I don’t really like it…you. People don’t normally notice. I love pasta. If you want to make pasta, I’ll eat it.”
His eyes swept through the house and he hummed softly and drew in a breath. “...I like garlic a lot, so if you have garlic, don’t hold back. I won’t go snooping, don’t worry.”
Perhaps one day he’d ask about the bedroom but…not now. Now he was more than content to just go and sit on the couch, though he looked at Judas for a moment. “Join me? You must be stressed after work. Let’s just relax for a little while, unless you’re really hungry?” Opening his arms, Lonnie gave the male a small smile, trying to be encouraging.
…Maybe… Nah. Maybe not. Feelings couldn’t come unless Judas was actually involved in everything...but. Maybe…one day…
…Maybe one day.

"Sorry if that was a bit weird. I've been told I can notice the strangest things at times." Perhaps he should have kept his mouth shut. Judas grinned slightly. "I don't mind garlic, I'm no vampire." Whether that bode well for Lonnie, was yet to be determined. "Your favorite person in the world however, does not like it. No, that is not an open invitation to harass him with it." He inserted quickly. "We can do pasta though, seriously though. I'm a bad cook, you might be on your own." Judas hummed, staring at Lonnie for a moment. "Stressed, no. I don't mind the bookshop. I usually just people watch. However..." Relaxing sounded good. He had a bit to think about. Giving up, he climbed onto the couch, curling up with Lonnie. A quiet, happy noise escaping him. He'd worry about things later.
