With Backlash almost over, only one match was left and waiting to kick off, and by god was it a match that had set the social media trending hashtags going off. The official in-ring return of Nuke Fusion, going up against the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, Drako.
With the electricity in the air palpable, everyone watched and waited with baited breath as the commentators slowed down their conversation to the screen.
The lights dropped, as four spotlights took to the stage, illuminating a single spot, with Shadow Moses kicking in.
[Shadow Moses - Bring Me The Horizon]
Can you tell by the look in her eyes? (We're going nowhere)
We live our lives like we're ready to die! (We're going nowhere)
Can you tell by the look in her eyes? (We're going nowhere)
We live our lives like we're ready to die! (We're going nowhere)
Rising up from under the stage stood the returning Nuke Fusion, dressed in a stunning red/burgundy mixed attire, one that he hadn't ever been seen in before. An almighty roar came from the crowd as the entrance music really kicked in, strobe lighting kicking in at the same time, an ode to a past time when Nuke used that effect.

The strobing slowly came away as Fusion stepped forward towards the ramp, raising a hand up to his eyebrows and making a sweeping searching gesture out at the crowd. He beat his chest several times with his fist as they roared back, with Nuke now making his way down the ramp.
"Making his way to the ring.. weighing in at two-hundred and fifty pounds.. Nuke! Fusion!"
I thought I'd buried you, And covered the tracks, You'll have to take this with your cold dead hands, I thought I'd buried you! (What's dead can never die!)
Severed the feeling, I slipped through the cracks and you caved in my ceiling, I thought I'd buried you! (What's dead can never die!) ... F***!
The spotlights followed Nuke down the ramp as he picked up in to a jog, sliding in to the bottom rope and running to a turnbuckle. He jumped up in one leap and raised a fist in to the air, to another pop from the crowd.
Nuke continues to do this at each corner, before jumping down and taking off his jacket, giving it to the referee to put away. He beats his chest again, turning to face the stage as his music dies off and he awaits his opponent for the night.

Ain't About the Money begins to play as the lights dim down. As the beat kicks in, blue and white lights begin to flash while a thin layer of smoke comes across the stage and down the ramp. Flames spring up along the set
"Making his way to the ring, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 200 pounds, he is the WWFG World Heavyweight champion, Drako!!!!"
An opening appears in the stage, and slowly the champion rises up on a platform, dressed in black with a hood covering his head. Black pants covered by a black hooded, sleeveless trenchcoat, and with matching gloves but shirtless underneath as always. The World championship belt is clutched in hand as looks down to the ring for a few moments before he finally begins to walk down the ramp, throwing the championship over his shoulder.
Drako stops at the end of the extremely long ramp and looks around the arena for a few more moments before he turns and walks up the stairs and into the ring, taking the championship back in hand as he does. He walks across the ring and steps onto the bottom rope, one foot on the second rope as he raises the title to the cheering fans. He steps down and walks to the opposite side to do the same.
Finally the champ turns back to the center of the ring and removes his coat, handing it to someone on the outside, along with the championship as he turns to face hi sopponent for the night

As a sign of respect, Nuke stayed in a corner as the World Heavyweight Champion made his way in to the ring. As the ref got both men ready, Nuke would step forward and continue his respectful return, offering the Champion a handshake before the ref called the start of the match,

Drako eyes Nuke suspiciously. Not for nothing, Nuke hadn't been what one would call trustworthy in the past, especially not to the champion's family. But eventually the champion shakes his hand quickly and steps back, wanting a clean start to their match

The crowd all clap in appreciation at the clean handshake, with Nuke stepping back as well. The ref calls for the bell to be rung, signalling the start of the match.
Fusion steps forward, raising his hands in the air and clapping, getting the crowd to follow suit. He offers a tie up to Drako to begin.

Drako goes into the tie up, always willing to do an old school start to a match. the champion is well acquainted with Nuke and doesn't want to let him gain control, so he attempts to transition into a quick standing side headlock

Nuke wanted to be the first to get a move in this game of chess, but he's quickly taken in to a side headlock.
He attempts to push Drako away from him, but will move towards the ropes and use them as momentum for an Irish whip if not.

Drako didn't have enough time to get the best grip on, and is shoved off to the ropes. The Soaring Dragon rebounds back and attempts a standing shoulder block takedown on the rebound

Nuke managed to get Drako off him and saw the incoming blow, bracing himself for impact. The momentum, however, delivered the extra force that knocked Fusion to his back on the mat.
Knowing he couldn't stay down, Nuke rolled and got to his feet, shaking off the cobwebs and ring rust. He came in again, offering a second lockup at the start of this match.
How very traditional of these two.

Drako gives a slight smirk as he knocks the legend to the mat. At least he'd made his presence known. But it's back to it as a second lockup comes his way and the champion is all for it. He'd go for another side headlock, but this time with a takedown to hold the headlock in on the mat

Nuke got caught again by that damn headlock, he definitely had that ring rust going on about him at the moment. Before the transition could happen, he attempted to lift Drako up and back down again with a belly-to-back suplex.

Drako feels himself being lifted up. Thinking quickly, he jumps into the suplex, flipping backwards to land behind Nuke on his feet. Once Nuke would turn around, he'd look to pop him in the face with a right hand

Nuke feels his grip come away from Drako as he turns to face his opponent, only to catch a hard shot to his eye socket. He almost fumbles and drops to a knee but keeps his feet, reaching out with one arm to keep the champ away momentarily.

well since Nuke so graciously put his arm out, Drako would be remiss not to use it......for a hip toss that is. which is exactly what he attempts to do
