Hobbies: Training: Shūlǎng has a deep passion for keeping his body in shape and despises any disruption to his gym routine. Working out and keeping meticulous upkeep of his body is important to him. Being sick won't keep him down; he'll just throw a mask on and keep going (or if he thinks he's too bad for the public, just use his home gym instead). He refuses to miss a single day.
Knitting: At first glance, there's no way to tell that Shūlǎng is the kind of man who knits. He is, after all, a gym rat with permanent RBF and doesn't say very much. But the nimble movements help him enjoy the quiet and keep his fine motor skills up. It's a good way for him to focus and let his thoughts flow in a different way than his training does in addition to the different type of bodily upkeep. As hard as he goes for the gym, knitting is a good break for him that he also takes, doing it through illness just as much. Almost nobody knows he does it, mostly because nobody ever wants to ask where he got his unique sweaters from.
Virtues: Protective: Shūlǎng will protect what he loves. (And who, even if he doesn't feel like there's anyone he loves right now). He works hard to take care of himself, and anyone else who happens to fall within his sphere of influence. His knitting projects are carefully tended to so they don't snag. His home gym equipment is rubbed down and oiled regularly. Should there be someone he loves in his life, he makes sure they eat enough and take care of themselves when they're sick.
Determined: Shūlǎng is very determined. Almost single-mindedly. Once an idea enters his head that he deems worthy of following, it's nearly impossible to get him off that path without sufficient evidence that what he's doing is truly bad. Sometimes it's even spiteful in nature--like being told that boys don't knit. Look at him now! All of his sweaters are self-handmade from the finest alpaca wool and they keep him warmer than any sweater he's bought. Screw you guys.
Flaws: Explosive temper: Shūlǎng gets angry very easily. Setting him off doesn't take much, and while he tries to keep a lid on it in public, it does become very obvious when he's angry as he has little control over his facial expressions or other, minute expressions of anger like clenched fists or grunts/growls. He's often menacing without truly meaning to be, but at home, he lets all of his shouts and physical anger out on his home gym equipment. Should he get angered too many times in one day, though, no matter where he is or what's happening, a shouting match can easily start.
Suspicious: As they say, "ain't nothing in this world for free." People don't do nice things to be nice. Everything has a consequence, a cost, unseen, but there. Shūlǎng believes that cost will always come back to the person the favor is being done for, so he refuses favors and does none for anyone else. What's the point, when it will only bring harm eventually? Not to mention, there's always some kind of ulterior motive, even if he hasn't figured out what someone's is specifically.
