The night had been far more enjoyable than Lonnie had really anticipated, and he had even spent the time to make breakfast for the both of them, and then spent a quite lovely hour sitting on the couch, Judas in his lap and watching some cooking show that was on.
He only half payed attention the show, spending far more time playing with the male’s hair and idly wishing that it was just a little bit longer. He always did like long hair, it was fun to twist around his fingers, which…was why his own hair was down to nearly his waist. That was nothing compared to the monstrosity it was when he was Langite but…
At least he looked good regardless.
“It’s nearly noon, do you want me to drive us to your place so that you can get changed before I take you to work? Or, do you just want to leave now, if that’s the case please make a good excuse so you don’t end up lacerating my feelings.” He was only half joking, but…Judas didn’t need to know that.
Not now, anyway.

"If you don't quit playin with my hair I'm going to fall asleep." Judas mumbled, sounding like he was already on that path, though he did little to actually stop Lonnie from messing with it. "Mmm... I'm not super worried about clothes." He said, snickering at the way that sounded then anything else. "I keep a duffle bag with a change there incase I hafta stay with Harker." That or he'd just steal some of their clothes, but Lonnie didn't need to know that. Judas sighed, reluctant to get up. "Leaving now means I hafta move." And he didn't want to move. Damn it, maybe he shoulda just called out. Stretching lightly, Judas shrugged lightly "I've got nothing." No excuses, no lies no nothing. "If... If you're bored... Or have nothing to do, they've torn down a wall and reno'd it into a little cafe."

Lonnie chuckled softly, moving to tug lightly on one of Judas’ ear lobes. “Is that you inviting me to hang around your workplace all day? What, pining after you? Staring at you longingly and waiting for the moment that you get off so that I can whisk you back to my house again and have my wicked way with you?”
It wasn’t a bad idea. Not really.
With a sigh, he lightly pushed the other male off of him. “Up. You need to change, and you should shower. You’re not going to get fired on my account. How would I ever be able to live with myself. But. I will stick around for a little while, just for fun. You’ve intrigued me by the sound of the place too, so. How could I not?”

"Well, I hadn't thought that far ahead... What you do after I clock in is your business. Not mine." ....Though it would end up being his, if Lonnie ended up purchasing anything. "Though that's not a bad way to spend the afternoon. But my opinion might be biased." Judas said, swatting lightly at the offending hand. "Ugh! Fine. I'm up. I'm going. Better off where I was but I'll be responsible." Judas sighed dramatically. "Look at you trying to be all cute and making sure I still have a job." ....It was working too. ********. Not that Harker would fire him though. Judas snorted. "I dunno, probably just fine? Honestly, wouldn't be the first time someone got me fired." Judas shrugged again. "I think you'd like it? I mean, it's definitely a novelty. Like I said, kinda gothic, kinda witchy. They even sell some crystals and stuff there. Little bit of everything." He turned on his heel, walking to the bathroom. "You don't hafta stay long if you don't want to. Just something to do if you're bored."

Lonnie scoffed, though looked fondly at him for a moment. “I’ll stay as long as I want to.What time are you done with work? Do you have to work again tomorrow or am I allowed to pick you up and whisk you back here for another night?”
It was…admittedly very nice to not have to be alone.
“If you’re a good boy and work hard, I’ll even take us out to dinner. How’s that for incentive.” He grinned now, half wishing that perhaps Judas would decide to simply not be good and they could just lounge around the house for the rest of the day but…
That would go against all that Lonnie was trying to do here.

"It's what, Tuesday?" He called from the bathroom. "Only a couple of hours. Tuesdays are usually slower, so I can't imagine there will be a lot to do. Harker will likely go insane between me and Jean, kick one of us out. Or both. It depends on how he's feeling really." He poked his head out the bathroom door to stare back at Lonnie. "Are you going to come over here, or do you want me to just... yell across your house to talk to you while I'm the shower." Not that it would take him long at all. Judas made a noise, somewhere between a groan and a laugh. "Are you seriously playing the 'good boy' card? Lonnie, please." He grinned though, despite that. "Besides. We both know I'm a 'good boy', and a great deal more." Good boy, bad boy. All the same really. "I would argue though, that I'm already being a 'good boy' and getting read for work. Where as somebody is being bad and distracting me."

“Well, I hadn’t intended for you to shower here, I was going to drive you home and wait for you to get ready, though it seems that you’ve already made this your home, so…a good boy, I think not.”
Still, he had a grin on his face and made his way to the kitchen, fully intending to simply ignore Judas until it was time to drive him to work. Whatever happened after that, well. It would be fun regardless.
It was a shame though. This couldn’t last forever. He couldn’t be involved with someone who couldn’t share all aspects of his life, and this didn’t seem like the type of person to have…well. To have the stamina to be in the Negaverse.
…What a pity.

"Your fault for taking in a stray cat." Didn't Lonnie know that as soon as you gave them attention, they'd start to come around a little more. "And if we're being honest, my place is too quiet." Probably better that he wasn't there anyway. To easy to let his mind wander.
Some time later, Judas reappeared, toweling his hair dry. "....The only downside to shorter hair is it freaking sticks up every which way when you dry it." He grumbled, running a hand through it. Judas stood there awkwardly for a moment, almost shyly. "Um. Thank you... For all this. It's.... It's been nice."

“Stray cat my eye. ANd it has been nice. I suppose that just means you can come over more often or. Whatever.” Lonnie was in the kitchen, cleaning off a knife and nodded to a brown paper bag rolled up on the counter. “I made you lunch so that you’d have something to eat at work. Are you ready to go?”
He was. Honestly, Lonnie had a lot to think about, and though he was eager to see this bookshop…
He was almost more eager to simply be alone with his thoughts for a while. “We’re leaving in five minutes so if you’re not ready.”
He moved out of the kitchen and past Judas, gently nudging him as he walked by. “Get ready quickly or you’ll walk.”

"Or, whatever." He echoed. Judas seemed to stare at the brown paper bag for a long moment before snapping back to reality. "Y-yeah. I'm ready to go. Sorry." With a playful roll of the eyes, he grabbed the bag before darting after Lonnie. "Yes dad. I'm coming." He chimed playfully. "Walking doesn't scare me though." He'd walk to the shop sometimes. Sometimes he'd just roam the streets of the city. It was a good excuse to either stop thinking, or over think. "You know, If you've got things to do, I can go myself and let you get to them."

“Walking is fine, and good for everyone involved, but I’m here to find out where you work, so quit talking and let’s get in the car.”
He was glad that Judas was walking behind him and couldn’t see the grin that crossed his face. It wasn’t a large one, but it was there, and he held the door open for the other male, and swiftly turned around to lock it, keeping his expression hidden until he schooled it into something more neutral.
This was fine. This could all be dealt with and after a quick look around the store, he could leave and send Judas a text to let him know when he wanted to be picked up.
…If he wanted to be picked up.
This was why Lonnie had rules, and this was why rules were not meant to be broken. Feelings could be caught and that could end up being dangerous.
Ah well.
