Gene had been sitting on the couch, upside down mind you, when Tilly swept in and past her without so much as a hey. Normal for them, especially at end of the year when club activities were winding down and enthusiasm for the summer was amping up.

Then, the next thing she knew, there was a book thrust in her face and Tilly was standing on her hair, that she had haphazardly brushed to the floor without a care.

"Ow ow ow." She whined, trying to tug it out from under her sister, and look at the book at the same time. "It... It looks fine to me." She said, contorting herself so that the picture looked somewhat understandable. "It could be worse. At least they didn't take a picture of you during like... a community service thing. With mud, trash and bugs." Gene's nose scrunched at the thought.

"You do realize sometimes people want to see what happens behind the scenes right? Isn't there some band called that... or something? Popular over seas or whatever??" Gene shrugged, rolling off the couch, only to come out of it looking like a blond Cousin It.

"You're never truely out of the spotlight." Gene said, shoving her hair back over her shoulders. Maybe she should cut it.


Nah.

"Not every shot has to be perfect either, you know." But still, Gene took the book with a roll of the eye. "Could you imagine if they gave as much money to other clubs and activities as they did those stuck up barbie dolls. Science fair and theatre would have been way more interesting.

Said the girl who had skipped her fair share of highschool.

"Excuse you. I don't want to be in photos or take them." Gene snorted. "Peter Parker is a gangly little nerd. No duh he didn't want pictures of himself. He just got lucky his boss didn't care about how he pulled off half the angles that he did." Like honestly, someone with half a braincell could have realized that there was something fishy with those photos.

"Picking on them or not. You have to admit. They're barbie clones. As soon as one does something, they all flock to copy. Where's the individuality!" Gene huffed, crossing her arms. "Like, yeah I get that it's all uniform and routine but still." Gene would simply never understand Cheerleading. "I will give her credit though. Dawn isn't horrible." Tilly's friend group could honestly be worse.

Gene was glad it wasn't though.

"For real though. Sometimes the set up shots are just as good as the final product. Think of it like, a before and after sorta thing? What they shoulda done was stick a picture of the finished books next to it, to compare. Maybe that's just me though." She said shrugging. "Over all though it looks like a pretty solid book. You did good kid." Gene grinned, ruffling up Tilly's hair.
