Fang couldn't get rid of the guilt he carried over hurting one of his best friends. His Not-Pack Friend. Of which he had perilously few. It wasn't all that strange to only stay with your pack—at least, that's what he thought... but he'd been so young when everything went wrong on his planet... He swallowed back the pain. On Earth, what he expected was different. Your pack, your family, they were always there for you. They were your heart. But having people with similar feelings outside the pack... It was almost expected. He liked Ida, and Muri. Lots. So he had a few people outside Zac, Talia, Evan, and Soleiyu. If few could just mean two.

He'd certainly met other people, like Roka, a fellow alien. Fang wasn't sure how to feel about them yet, but they seemed like a good ally.

Regardless of all that, the fact remained that he'd really hurt one of his best friends, and he hated himself for it. That emotion wasn't new to him. He'd been hating himself for nearly as long as he could remember. He sighed, shifting as he moved through the city, feeling like... a predator. In a way that didn't sit well. Sure, he was a hunter, of rabbits and of Chaos-aligned people doing bad things, but somehow, this felt like he was wrong for it, and he hated it.

Sensing the Corrupt Senshi aura, he growled lowly and moved toward it. Maybe a good fight would take it all off his mind. He wanted to bite.

Guinevere was really getting tired of these interloping White Mooners. She could feel one coming up on her, and with a bitter growl, she shoved aside her latest draining victim and stormed off int he direction of the aura. So many of them wanted to pick a fight, or worse, wanted to pity her, and Guinevere was well and truly tired of it. Just absolutely exhausted.

But fine. If this was another one who wanted a fight, she'd give it to them.

As she rounded the end of the alley, and the White Moon Senshi came into view, Guinevere smiled. Oh,. this was one of those aliens, wasn't it! It had been so long since she'd seen one! Or, well, she supposed she hadn't seen his kin d of alien ever, he wasn't one of the pretty pastel ones that betrayed the White Moon and were working with the Negaverse now.

"Hi there. Tormenting Obsession."

Guinevere speaks the name of her attack, and blows a kiss. A little broken heart made of pink smoke appears on the edge of her fingers, and then bursts, filling the air around her with sweet-smelling pink fog. The fog extends to a twelve-foot radius around her, and everyone in the fog except for Guinevere finds that suddenly, they are extremely obsessed with something--a person, a place, a plot hole in their favorite TV show, it can be anything--and they are convinced that the first other person in the fog they see has it, can give it to them, and they must fight for it. It is possible to resist the urge, especially if a character is higher ranked than Guinevere, but fighting it will result in the fog becoming choking, and characters may feel lightheaded and unable to breathe. These effects last for 35 seconds. Guinevere can use this attack twice per battle.

Fang snarled at her wordlessly, ears pinning back from sheer anger, tail fully fluffed and erect behind him. For a brief moment, he had clarity. She said hello, and then her spell, and then...

Well, the game was on. He roared at her, moving forward, suddenly unable to break from the idea that fighting her was the best idea he'd ever had. He gave in to the instinct greedily, letting any part of him that might have been Todd-like go, becoming just a bullet of hair, claws, and Fang.

Survive, whispered the part of him that had emerged in the weeks following the deaths of his first family. Bite. Kill. Take. What's. Yours.

No part of him even thought about using his own magic, too deep in the survival mode he thought he'd long since stowed away, brought forth by his own self-hatred and anguish, the frenzied rage that the other Senshi had put him in. He launched thoughtlessly at her, arms out to physically claw at her himself, teeth snapping in warning.

Guinevere laughed. It was a mad little giggle, the sort of sound that was half delight and half adrenaline. At this point, she basically expected her magic to make people attack her, and so she was ready for it.

He was huge. She was tiny. Butt here were solutions to that problem.

Like bending down, going under his reaching claws, and throwing herself at him, full-body, elbow out and aimed for his solar plexus.

Man, she hoped weird alien wolf-people had the same general internal biology as humans, that would make this so much easier. She could take him down quickly, and then get back to her work. Or maybe go home, that sounded like a nice possibility.

In his magic-induced rage, Fang had forgotten to consider that his prey would move. She ducked under him and—

With a woosh of the air escaping his lungs, he came to a halting stop, slumping down to the ground.

"You," he said, strangled, trying to take in air—the magic cleared. He still struggled to breathe, but now he remembered he was a Senshi, too, and not just a beast trying to live.

"Double Slash," he wheezed, gesturing with his hands limply.

His wisp curled against his neck, trying to comfort him.

Fang swipes at his target with both hands, and two ghostly paws of a Chrysocyon with claws extended spring forth. They leave the sensation and appearance of deeper, more burning cuts, slicing into skin like a hot knife through butter. He can attack the same target twice, or two different targets, but he only has one chance to hit someone once per swipe. The effects lasts for about thirty seconds, has two uses, and has a range of fifteen feet. The magic can tear through clothes or can cause lasting damage at player discretion.

It worked. She'd knocked him down. That alone made Guinevere smug. Her magic was tactically powerful--obsession made people blind. Made them stupid. Made them slow to react to her attacks, made them forget that they had a dangerous enemy in front of them.

Because they wanted something. Were obsessed with it. Driven to violence by the need of it. And all of that made them easy targets.

Maybe she ought to use it more often. Fling it around a little in crowds. See what happened as a result. Not that she owuld often have the opportunity, but maybe next time there was a big draining mission, she'd take the chance.

He called amgic. She casually sidestepped it, walked over to him, and fluffed his hair, idly, between those adorable ears.

"It's okay, big guy, you can't win 'em all," she said, brightly. "But I've got good news! You're so adorable, I'm gonna let you live. How's that sound?"

Not hat she intended to wait for his opinion. Truth be told, she didn't really care. All she cared about was that she had a little data point of evidence--that her magic made people worse fighters. He hadn't even thought to use his magic until after it had worn off, and, presumably, he could think again.

With a merry little laugh, she took off--and if he gave chase, she would just teleport away.
