Ahri stared down at Talia. More specifically the broken arm she now sported.
Seriously... They couldn't go anywhere, could they.
The pair had over taken the living room and where currently process of starting some mass movie marathon they'd been talking about doing for the better part of two months and had just not gotten around to.
No time like the present, he supposed.
They had collectively stolen just about every spare pillow and blanket throughout the house. He'd gotten her an assortment of easy to eat snacks and well, he was there to open any bottles or drinks she may need. He just wasn't sure what else she needed. Heating pad? Ice pack?
.... Could you use those with a broken arm? Ah well, whatever.
Everyone else was out and about, and honestly after the last group session talk he had had, Ahri was thankful it was just the two of them. Especially since he had wanted to talk to her about a few things. With a quiet sigh, curled up in his corner of the nest of blanket and pillows. "You realize the irony in this right. You tell me to be careful, yet you go and break your arm."
They were both dumb.
Tucking his legs under him, Ahri sighed again. "...I... I have a question.. If you're up for humoring me."

Talia had been staring into space for a while and blinked slowly, trying to process what Ahri had just said. They were cuddled together and she appreciated it, but her thoughts always moved towards her brother. It was the mourning process, she supposed and while it still hadn’t gotten any easier…maybe it would if she just kept it up…or something.
“I’m always up for humoring you,” Talia murmured, finally turning to glance at the male, a small frown taking the place of her usual smile. “And I didn’t ask for this…I didn’t know. I…” Her expression grew distant and she looked at her arm in some disgust before looking away. “I didn’t know Albite would do that and allow my brother to be killed just because he wanted to get his rocks off with hurting me.”
The words were detached and she looked away again. “What’s your question, Ahri?”

"I didn't ask to be stabbed either." He reminded her. It was up for debate really.
"I... don't know what to tell you. The whole situation is just... Weird." He sighed, shifting to lean on her good side. "Our whole family is weird.... Though I suppose that makes us unique. You can safely say no one's got a family like yours. Half youma for a brother, a dire wolf turn human for a cousin. Got any super secret sisters you want to tell me about or is that my birthday present?" He asked with a light hearted laugh.
"I am sorry though... About your brother, about your arm... All of it." It was shitty situation and he didn't know how to fix things or make it better for her.
"I uh.... I need your help." He said softly. "First off, no. I'm not in danger." ...Yet. Who knew what could happen with this. "Second, I have told both Tobias and Evan about this so I'm not keeping secrets this time." Not about this. "I uh... I have this friend. Actually, uh... It's the guy who helped me when I got stabbed. He wants out. Or at the very least, he wants to talk to someone... Aaaand I figured, who better to talk to then the one senshi I know whose made a habit of taking the Negaverse home with her?" Ahri bit his lip, turning his head to look at her. "I didn't know who else to turn to, but given you helped me I knew you wouldn't judge him. ...He's a half youma."

Talia didn’t want to continue the argument, and bit the inside of her cheek until she tasted blood but finally shook her head. “No sisters, sorry.” Her words were tense and far more clipped than she wished them to be but after a moment she seemed to relax a little and looked at Ahri with a frown.
“...A half youma? What, he wants out of the Negaverse? Wants to purify? Wants to be saved and then what? He’ll call an ambush? Break my other arm?”
Oh. Oh wow. No…she didn’t want to be this cynical…she didn’t want to be angry at Ahri who had done absolutely nothing wrong. “Tell me more about him. If we do it, it will be on Lysithea. I’m not taking any chances anymore, no matter if he’s not comfortable. If I’m going to help him, he’s going to do what I want him to, and that means go up to space where he can’t ambush me.”
Half youma. The very thought left a bad taste in her mouth…though. That might have just been the bitter aftertaste from the blood.

Ahri paused, glancing at her for a moment.
"Yes, a half youma. He wants to purify out, yes." Ahri snorted. "If he wanted an ambush, he would have done so ages ago. He knows I've given him enough opportunities to do so. But he won't. He's got enough to juggle right now that I think an ambush is the last thing he wants." If anything, Ahri wouldn't be surprised if Celadonite was more worried that he was going to get ambushed, instead of ambushing them. "Talia, he's scared, just like I was. You helped me, how is this any different?"
"Doing it on Lysithea shouldn't be a problem." He had, admittedly forgotten to tell Celadonite that that was an option. But... It shouldn't be a problem. "I guess he's got a friend whose going through some stuff, and he just done with everything." Ahri shrugged lightly, careful not to jar Talia too much. "I just want to help him Talia. I know it's probably dangerous but, I trust him."

“Faustite said he wanted out too. But why would he trust me. He didn’t. And now he’s dead so. Sorry.” Talia rubbed the bridge of her nose with her good hand and tried to control her breathing which had grown shallow and far too quick for comfort.
“I’m not mad at you…I just. It’s…yeah. Yeah we can do it. That’s not a problem. Just. Not right now. I need to get the court together again and I doubt they’ll be happy about it but. Whatever.”
Malus would be okay, she was sure. And if it was happening on Lysiteha, if it was going to be safe...she could stand to bring others if she had to. But. Adria wouldn’t want to be left out and.
The bitter taste in her mouth came again as she thought of Varuna and Talia clenched her hand, curling up on herself slightly. “...Can we…talk about something else? Or…maybe postpone the movie…I…don’t really feel so good.”

"I'm not even going to begin try and make sense of what happened, but for what it's worth. I'm sorry, about it all." Ahri peeled himself off her side, scooching away a small bit to give her some space. "Talia... You know you have nothing to apologize for. Not to me anyway. I know you did what you could to help him."
He nodded. "I know you're not mad at me, and I know I'm poking buttons I shouldn't be right now. I just.. Wasn't sure who else I could go to without any sort of judgement." Ahri handed her a drink, something to occupy her hands. "Change of topic. My birthday's coming up. What do you want to do for it?"

Talia kept her eyes closed for a moment and then opened them, taking the drink in her good hand and nodding slowly.
He was poking buttons, and…she wasn’t sure how to deal with buttons being poked right now. Everyone else was still tip-toeing around her…and on one hand…on one hand the button pushing was annoying and she wasn’t ready for it…though on the other…if she didn’t start trying...would she ever be ready for it?
“Um. Your birthday? We…could do one of those adult arcades. Zac is going to take me there on a date when my arm heals but…I would want to go more than once I think. They seem…really fun. And I’ve never heard anything bad about them.”

Ahri lit up at the mention of an arcade. "Oh my god yes. I'm going to kick your a** at those games. So get your practice in while you can! We can always make a day outta it. Like just the two of us?" It had been a while since they'd done that. "We could like, go a couple days before or after, and then spend the actual birthday with everyone?"
It sounded like a plan, in theory.
He feel silent for a minute, fidgeting in his seat. "Um... Thank you. For putting up with my button pushing. and my questions." Ahri said quietly. "Do.. Do you wanna just take a nap? We can crash for a couple hours before everyone comes back." It was a better alternative then dealing with his nonsense.

Talia managed a small, somewhat bitter smile but nodded. “It’s fine…I appreciate the fact that you’re willing to push the buttons even though…I”m not really ready for it…a nap though. A nap sounds wonderful, and we can make several days out of it, build up our tickets and get something good for a prize on your actual birthday…”
It would be nice to just get out, and nice to do something with…another member of her ‘family’...
Even if she couldn't remember the bond that she shared with Ahri, she knew that there was one, a family by choice…and she would do her best not to lose this one. As for the half youma he wanted to help...she'd just talk to Zac first. He could size the guy up and make sure it wasn't another trap. That. Would be best. And that was what would have to be done.
