"Can you come to the hospital and walk me home?" Orah had asked Ash over the phone, struggling through her pain meds to form a request in a way the off-worlder would understand. "I fell while I was out, and I had to go to the E.R. I'm on a lot of pain medication, so its probably not safe for me to do it alone."
And by 'walk', she actually meant Lyft, because there was no way she could actually walk home on her damaged leg... and she was not going to put Ash behind the wheel of her own car. Orah prayed he wasn't going to ask more about it... she still felt raw inside, even with the meds, and what had happened was not something she wanted to talk about with him. There was no way he would understand the need to give herself over to chaos... and she didn't fully understand why Painite had not taken her up on it. That was for another time though... she couldn't bear to process that right now.
Sitting in the waiting room, she closed her eyes and leaned back in the soft chair, trying to settle her mind and ignore the way her head kept trying to spin. The crutch was awkward to manage, as was her tightly wrapped leg. She just wanted to be home... to crawl into her own bed and sleep.

Walk her home...but if she'd been in the hospital she wasn't likely to walk home. Shaking his head he'd managed to order a lyft ride to get him to the hospital, not wanting to make her wait for him to walk there, so he could pick Orah up and get them both back to her place. When he had arrived he srunched up his nose momentarily. He didn't like hospitals...he'd had too much experience, first hand, with death and sickness. This place was one he didn't like, too many memories of sick people dying.
Pushing his thoughts aside, as well as his own feelings, Ash had gone to help the nurses bring her out to the waiting car. "The pain meds won't make you sick during the car ride?" He asked, having heard such medications could do so. Concerned blue eyes took in the sight of the other as he stood there watching her, she looked sad like this, she'd need help getting about for a while. How fast she could heal he didn't know, though he knew it would be faster than the average person.
"Let's get you outside, it's a warm day out." Though he didn't like the warmth he was certain she did, summer seemed more her season.

Orah opened her eyes and looked up tiredly at Ash's concerned face, feeling that little twinge of surprise she always seemed to feel whenever she saw him without his ears or the marks on his face. She was too used to seeing him as himself around the apartment and whenever they went out on patrol. Seeing him looking so human just felt... wrong, especially knowing he preferred his normal features.
She shook her head at the suggestion she might get sick, and then nodded as she levered herself up onto her one foot, tucking the crutches under her arms. It felt awkward to hold her leg up off the ground, but with the wound so new, weight on it would have been counterproductive. Silent, she moved towards the sliding glass doors and the waiting Lyft, her gate that strange rocking motion of swinging crutches and body.
The car gave her a little trouble when she reached it, needing to reach the handle with one hand, but also use both to leverage herself and her crutches out of the way of the swinging door. She fumbled it, trying to manage each while her head spun.

Keeping to Orah's side he made she he was avalible if she needed him, for whatever it might be, he held the door when she went to get into the lyft so she didn't move the door and off balance herself. "I'll make you something to eat when we get back?" He questioned, unsure if she would want food. He knew better than to push as something else had been going on recently, and she was silent on it, he didn't want to push when she was under stress already before this.
Once she was in the car he closed the door before moving to the other side to get in himself. Buckling up he let the lyft driver head off, pulling away from the hospitals pick up area, and head for her home. This was, in all likelihood, going to be a silent ride back. Silence however could say a lot, almoost as much as talking could. It just depended on what type of silence it was.

When Ash moved to get the door for her, she let him, scooting back enough he could swing it open. She felt like the whole world tilted and wobbled as she did so, reminding her that she was on medication for the pain. It was awkward to manage the crutches and get herself into the car, finally flopping down into the seat and pulling the long things in after her. It was with relief that she was able to close the door, buckle herself in, and just relax back into the seat.
Orah nodded, still quiet, when he offered food. She wasn't hungry, but she was going to need the energy as her body worked on healing itself. She knew that, logically, even as part of her dreaded the effort it was going to take to eat it. All Orah wanted was to crawl into bed, try to find a semi comfortable position, and fall into the oblivion of sleep. She wanted that so bad she ached with it. She just... wanted to not exist for a while, escape all the pain inside and out.
She was not inclined to start up a conversation as the driver took them back to the apartment, bracing her elbow on the door and setting her chin in her hand. Her eyes kept drifting to slits and she dozed a little, unable to help herself.
Painite... There was so much to unpack in what had happened between herself and her old nemesis. She'd begged for corruption, and Painite had refused... two things she never would have believed would happen. Part of her hated herself for it... part of her still longed for it. She didn't understand why the general had refused, or why she'd said the things she'd said when she had gathered Ida up in her arms. She didn't know what any of it meant, or what she was supposed to do with it all. Every moment of consciousness was a struggle.

During the drive Ash had kept an eye on Orah, something was going on he was certain on it, he couldn't ask her anything like he wanted to. His dark haired companion was silent and gave off vibes which told him not to approahc, not to talk to her, something was there which he could't get around, like a wall about her, she wasn't herself and hadn't been in a while. He didn't know what was going on but he wanted to, it was a driving need to know and to understand, he had a need to know things...a need for knowledge and secrets.
He'd had to shake it, as best he could, and push his wants aside in order to let Orah be as she obviously needed to be left to herself for now. Once they got back to the appartment he'd set in to make something for her, something small, that he hoped she'd liked. He wasn't the best cook, not with such unfamiliar ingredients, but he'd do his best. She'd need the food in order to keep her body going and healing.
Another glance over and he wondered just how this had happened...there was something to it and he wondered if it tied into everything else going on with the younger senshi. Eventually he'd find out what was going on, what had happened, he was certain of that but he really didn't like the idea of waiting.
There was no choice though. He'd wait on Orah to tell him, somehow, because things would come out. He'd be there if he was needed, because he was certain it was some sort of powered thing.
"When we get home if you want to take a shower I can assist...or you can just lay down and rest." He knew if it was himself he'd be going for a hot shower, or bath, because he liked a good hot bath and to wash his fur.

"No, that's fine." She said, her voice tired. She'd had to rouse herself to make an answer for him, part of her resenting the need to say anything at all. Why couldn't he just leave her alone? Anyone, of course, would have had a million questions about what had happened, and part of her knew he was exercising the restraint of a saint to leave her alone, but she still felt a deep, faint anger at him. She didn't owe him anything, leave of all answers, but social rules demanded she at least answer him.
"I just want to go to bed."
That was safe enough, and she even managed not to take a tone with him.
It felt like the drive took an eternity. She must have dozed off, because she didn't remember most of it, only coming back to herself when they stopped outside the apartment building. Thank the heavens it had an elevator... getting up stairs would have been torture. Without waiting for him to get her door, she pushed it open and swung her legs out, fumbling her crutches after them. Standing was a struggle... Orah strained to make it up onto her feet and get her crutches back under her. The door she left for Ash to close, unable to work up enough emotion to care about it.
Crutches settled, she hobbled towards the entry, her dark head bowed.

Something was going on, he was certain of it, she didn't say much and he felt the tension in the air...or whatever you'd call it. He wasn't suire tension was the right word, at least not entierly, there was something there which kept him from speaking more like he wanted to. When the car finally arrived, and it couldn't have been soon enough, he hurried aorund to help Orah out but she seemed to have it handled for herself.
Watching her head off he closed the door and followed after her. Maybe he'd just keep his space and find things to occupy himself with, perhaps a trip downtown to get himself something to eat and explore the city some more. He would benefit from exploring further, you never knew when knowing where an alleyway would help save yourself. Trailing behind Orah he kept his pale eyes downcast as he watched his steps, al lthe while considering his words.
"While you rest I'm going to go out. If you wake and need anything let me know." Whimsical Blue Think with your post we can finish.

Orah paused as she reached the door, hovering near the wheelchair button that would open it automatically. She knew she should open up more, talk to Ash about what happened, but... she just couldn't. She could see the bald concern he had, how much it bothered him, but there was too much. How was she supposed to explain it to him, who wasn't even human and had been born on another world, when she didn't understand it completely herself? He was so against chaos... how could he understand how desperate she was for it? How much it drew her?
"Okay." She said softly, after a long moment of silence. "Thank you, Ash."
He would just have to go without answers. Maybe some day she could talk about it.
Pushing the button, she hobbled her way inside and headed for the elevator, leaving him to follow or to leave, as he pleased.
