Spending most of the day as a monster was…starting to make Celadonite unhappy. Moreso with the thought that he would end up a feral beast and lose every shred of his humanity…the humanity he had given up so willingly and so brazenly for the person who he thought would be his forever.

…Who was dying and losing himself to his beast.

…Who was going to be purifying and wouldn’t be the same even if that saved him…

There was no good ending to this story. Only unhappiness, tragedy and loss…and honestly, Hinata was right to be trying to get away…and he hoped…desperately hoped that she could convince the princess who was going to be helping her to help him…

If such a thing was possible.

If it worked for Faustite…it would work for him, right? So…perhaps he would simply wait to make sure it worked for Faustite but…even if it…

He paused and glanced up as the aura of a Squire came into his sensing range.

Most likely whoever it was would come over demanding that he give up and turn a new leaf and all that jazz, so Celadonite didn’t actually move, not until the Squire came into view and he saw that he knew him. “Hey there. Long time no see, Trash Panda.”

The insult didn’t have much punch behind it, honestly, Celadonite was too tired but…

…He was also far too proud to admit that he had no idea what this Squire’s name actually was.

Necro had been out, roaming the city with no real objective at hand. He had always liked to just wander the city. He paused though when the aura of a General came into range.

Maybe he'd take a look... It couldn't hurt right? Then again, the last time he'd done that, Necro had been thrown from a roof.... Whatever. A quick look, and he'd book it like a bat outta hell if he didn't like how things were going.

He sighed when he saw the familiar form of Celadonite. He had nothing to worry about here. "Hey you..." Necro said softly, coming to stand in front of the General. "It hasn't been that long since we've seen each other has it?" A month or two? ... Maybe it had been a while. "You do remember I was a wolf right? Not a raccoon?" Necro asked with a lopsided smile. "What have you been up to lately?"

Celadonite shook his head, a fond little half smile removing the worried frown from his face, at least for a moment, but then the Squire’s words really penetrated his mind and he paused. “...You were a wolf…and yet now you’re a Squire...do you know…how to get rid of the youma? I…”

He bit his lip and drew in a breath, trying to calm the sudden wave of panic that threatened to take him over. “...Just for a scientific question, but if I no longer wanted to be what I am…do you have a way to fix it, if I were interested?”

Obviously there was a way…but this Squire…he was once a youma himself…he.

“...My. My friend is. Losing himself to his youma and he’s going to try to get it purified but. I’m so afraid I’m going to end up like him and I…don’t want that. I’ll be losing him no matter what so…I figured I should fend for myself, you know?”

The words were starting to bubble over, far more quickly than he would have liked. “...I don’t want to end up like that. I didn’t even know that it was something that could happen...”

"They took me to Cosmos." Necro said quietly. "Honestly, they believed it would work more then I did. If anything, I thought I was going to..." The word caught in his throat, but Celadonite would get the picture.

Necro tilted his head, staring at Cela for a maybe. "I... might have something? We would need to go to a Princess or someone like that. Er, You... you would need to go." Cela didn't need him tagging around if he didn't want him there.

"For what it's worth... I'm sorry about your friend. I hope he finds the help... You though..." Necro drew closer, reaching out and brushing his hand against Celadonite's cheek, carefully so as not to snag the scales there on his gloves. "You won't end up like that. You are far too stubborn to let yourself be taken over like that. And you know darn well I won't let you fall to it."

Cosmos. Now…just who was Cosmos? Or…what was Cosmos…ah. Whatever. That wasn’t the big issue here.

The Squire was offering to come with him to figure this out and he almost brightened but, then just nodded, the small bubble of hope bursting. “Yeah, I. I can do that. If you have something, I’ll take any help that you can provide and…”

The hand on his cheek made him pause and he rested his cheek against it and gave a bitter laugh. “...He was the strongest person I’ve ever met and it’s happening to him so…I don’t have much of a chance when it comes down to it…but I appreciate your faith in me.”

He was quiet for a moment and sighed. “...Can you tell me your name again? I know you’ve done it before but it’s never stuck.”

"There are other princesses too... That's just the one they called. I'll talk to my friends, see what they can do. You know I've always been in your corner." Celadonite had helped him at his lowest point. He would help Celadonite through this, even though they were on different sides. "We'll figure this out, Hon."

"It happens to the best of us... I think you've got just as much of a chance as anyone else Cela." Necro gave a small laugh, pulling the General close and hugging him tightly. "Necromanteion, though most just shorten it to Necro... You though, can keep calling me whatever you want." Yeah, sure. Necro knew Celadonite's jabs at nicknames were suppose to be an insult but after a while... it had just become their thing. It was just part of their normal routine

He gave a little snort, though it wasn’t unkind by any means. “Hon, hm? That’s a new one from you, Necro.”

Celadonite could remember that if he tried. He had to remember it. Especially if the Squire could help…knew someone who could smuggle him out before all hell broke loose with him…it. “Necromanteion might be a little much for me, but I think I can handle Necro. It…suits you I guess. Though I will miss calling you trash hobo and all that, maybe just when we’re alone I’ll continue with our pet names, yeah?” He winked and managed a smile, his fangs glinting slightly in the light.

“But…you would talk with whoever? Like, I’ll do it whenever is best for them, for the princess or whatever. Just…I want out…I can’t…I can’t lose myself like Faustite…I…”

Running a hand through his hair, Celadonite began to pace, clearly agitated. “I don’t…regret what I’ve become…but…I wish I would have known the risks. I wish I wasn’t so useless in the cold and I wish…I just wish…”

He fell quiet and sighed, glancing away. “...I just wish. I guess.”

"...Pretty sure I've called you that before. ...I think." Necro coulda sworn he'd used a few pet names... Maybe? The Squire shrugged. ".... I think it's obvious at this point you mean something to me. Pet names or not." He said softly.

"Psh. You're still gonna call me a trash hobo. You've only seen my uniform. I would like to remind you there's a whole side to me you don't know." He paused with a blink. "... Yet. A side you don't know yet." Necro said, correcting himself. "I will inform you that it's probably as bad as you think it is. ...Also I have a lot of hoodies so..." He might hafta steal a few back from Tobias but... He'd cross that bridge when he came to it. Necro snorted. "Of course you've got fangs. How cute."

"I will talk to them." Necro promised. He'd do whatever he could to help. Even if he couldn't be there to help. As long as he was point Cela in the right direction. The Squire trailed after, catching the General's wrist and tugging him to a stop. "You're not going to lose yourself. You won't let that happen, and neither will I. There's no way you could have known the risks. And you're not useless, the cold be damned. Yeah, it mighta made things a bit difficult but." Again Necro shrugged. "You worked with what you were given, and you did what you could."

Dropping Cela's wrist, Necro ran his hand through his own hair. "I've been there. I get it. There was a time and place where I would have preferred to be a half. I wished so badly that it was possible. The thought of purifying..." He sighed. "I'm not trying to scare you or sway you... But back then I thought they were lying to me. I knew them and trusted them, yeah. But I thought I was going to get dusted permanently. And considering I'd gotten dusted once before." Necro huffed. "But, I had someone in my corner, who believed in me. Just as you do."

Celadonite gave a small smile and shrugged. “If you did, it didn’t stick, but it stuck this time so, that’s all that I can really ask…as for talking to them, I would appreciate it…can you meet me back here after the twenty third? Like, on the twenty fifth maybe? My friend’s…I just. I need to know what happens to him before I go, if that…if you’re okay with that. With waiting for me, I mean. I understand if you’re not.”

If Faustite’s little shindig worked, honestly he might be a hard sell too so…that was always something to worry about…

Yet another thing to worry about. But.

With a sigh, Celadonite reached out and stroked Necro’s cheek and then after a moment’s thought, drew the male closer and pressed a chaste kiss to his lips. “...Thank you. And thank you for being in my corner. It makes me happier than you can know, Necro. My Trash Goblin.”

Necro gave a cheeky grin. "Does that mean I have to do it more often? Cause if so...." He was more then happy to oblige, and then some. Whatever to make Cela happy. The Squire nodded. "I can do that. I'll bring my friend, meet you here and we can go from there." He tilted his head, regarding the General. "This might be a silly question but, do you want me to bring you anything? I can bring a hoodie or something?" God he sounded stupid. "I know I was cold the first couple days afterwards... But then again I was also a lot fuzzier..."

The Squire tilted his head into the hand, mirroring Cela's actions earlier. "Go see your friend. I'll see you in a couple days, Love." He made a soft noise at the kiss, a lopsided grin on his face. "We need to do that more. Can we do that again?" He didn't care if it was now or later. "Be safe. I'll see you soon."
