Lionel was at his house again, waiting for Hina to show up. She had asked to come over and so he had a pizza on the way. When the knock on the front door came, he walked over to it and opened it quickly, allowing the woman inside.
“So, what’s up? Are you all right?”
He was worried, still worried about Faustite, the time was getting close for his…hopeful salvation but. The thought made him want to throw up.
“Have you found a way out? Is this you going to tell me goodbye?”
He hoped not, but…if that was the case, so be it. So long as she was happy, and so long as she was safe.

Hina took a deep breath. This was going to be difficult. She had thought she was prepared, but....in many ways, she still wasn't. The cutting of ties was the hardest part, and here was one before her, needing to be cut.
Or, perhaps, pulled in a different direction. She wasn't sure.
A sad little smile crossed her face when he asked.
"I have," she said. "I have...an appointment with a Princess. After Faustite's. I don't want to leave before and muck things up because someone got paranoid about traitors and leaks, but....after that, I'll be gone." She tried to force a broader smile, or some real hope, but....
It hurt.
"So we have a little while yet."

He nodded and opened his arms. “I’m happy for you…I…honestly I’ve really been thinking about it. I might have to…could you put in a word for me with the Princess? See if she could…see if maybe…”
Glancing away for a moment, Lionel stepped closer and drew her into his arms, hugging her tightly. “I’ve just. I really hope it’s everything that you want it to be…and. I’ve ordered pizza for us. So we can have a nice time while we’re here.”
Pizza, a movie. It would be nice. Whatever happened. They’d figure it out.

Hina nodded. "I can do that. I'll see if she can help you, too."
She couldn't leave Lionel behind. It wouldn't be right. He was her friend, had listened to her, had treated her with so much kindness, the entire tome they had known each other. There was absolutely no way she could just....leave him behind. Not when he might just have a much worse fate ahead of him. Not when he, too, might become a youma, as was threatening to happen to Faustite.
She let him draw her into a hug, squeezed his shoulders, buried her face in one for a long, warm moment. These kind of comforts, open and honest, were going to be rare, she suspected, until she went over to the other side. Until then, every hug, every hand on her brother's shoulder, every kind word she spared would be tinged with a lie. A part of her final performance, as it were.
So she enjoyed the hug, for as long as she got to enjoy it.
"I hope so too. I mean, if nothing else, I get a whole planet when I go over. That's....something pretty special, yeah?" She smiled. "I'll take you to see it, when I can. If I forget, because I lost these memories, you'll just have to remind me."
She wanted her friend to see the stars up close. Whether they be from her world, or from whatever Wonder the universe gave him when he went over to the other side.
"Ah, pizza and a movie. You always know how to make a girl feel taken care of."
She would miss these movie nights, she was sure. Even if she forgot them, there would have to be some sort of sense of loss. A sense that there was something she used to do, that she no longer had access to.
Ugh. This was going to be so, so hard.
But she would do it. And she would do everything in her power to persuade Lysithea to help Lionel, too. To get him out of the Negaverse and make sure that he didn't succumb to whatever awful thing happened to half-youma if they were left alone too long.
There certainly weren't many of them. Maybe this was why. Maybe they all went feral in the end.
Hina would not allow that to happen to her friend.

“Trust me, there’s nobody better than a guy who has less than zero interest in girls to know how to treat them, at least in my case. I’ll always treat you right, and I hope that I get to see this planet of yours. I hope that it’s as fashion forward as you are, and not too swampy, little waterhorse.” He winked and drew away, nodding in response to her saying he’d have to remind her. “Look, I figure it’s like this. If we both forget who we are, then we’ll just have to become friends again and I’ll make the new you a whole new wardrobe for your new life.”
He paused and gave a grin that wasn’t too forced. “Provided that I don’t forget how to sew...which, I hope won’t be the case. If it is, I’ll be ruined.”
Chuckling, Lionel booped Hina on the nose and walked to the door to grab the pizza and tip the driver.
…This would be okay.
She would be okay. And…hopefully.
…They all would be okay in the end.
