This rp is open to those who are involved in Elaxi's rediscovery.

Variel 1

She felt good, the babies had been born and they had seemingly found a good lock on a lead and were going to investigate some promising rumors near Oba. She gripped Viltre's hand tightly imagining if one of their children had been taken. They were still so small, snugged up with Mama Ein when they had left. It had been hard but this was something she had to see through and of course their leafy mate needed a proper guardian. As well, EIn was surrounded by an intimidating wall of kith and kin.

One of them had to be with Viltre and in this case slightly better that it was the warrior and not the master of life and death. Though Variel missed Ein and the kids terribly still. She rubbed her jaw on Viltre's shoulder affectionately.

Einsol might have been a caring person, and a loving one. But she was neither honest nor honorable by nature. She'd wanted to go hunting with her mates, both to see them safe and to be absolutely certain that them who stole cubs did not do it again. But Variel had got it into her head that the healer stay behind to care for their newborn children. Another time, she might have argued. With her warrior so tired and worn by her first litter, blue-braided young Ninyelt let it stand. Of course, as they'd been victualled and mounted up and all, Ein went out to see them off. Only right and proper, fuzzy red cubs in both arms and all.

While she was not particularly honorable, as said, she did have a keen sense of her own responsibility, and where it differed from the clan's as a whole. If Ushi were going, she needed to be with him. He'd listen to neither of her mates if he took it into his head to go too far. His resulting tunnel vision would lead to more trouble than the three could handle, should it happen at the worst time. She'd seen his temper lead him astray before; he needed someone at his side to keep a wider eye, and who better than his twin? The babies, fuzzy and adorable as they were, needed care, that was also true. But the clan could handle that. They had for decades now. So Einsol went to her own mother and laid out the situation as she saw it. Nin agreed to take these cubs of hers until the hunt was over, as a pack did for its members.

So it was that when the Oban noble looked wistfully back, she'd see yellow-dressed Ein, long sleeves tied back against the wind, riding up behind on a rust-red xaaran bird. Two heavy sticks were tied to the saddle, alongside her pack and a roll of what may have been wrapped-up armor. Her responsibilities were clear. The smile she wore may have been excitement, of one sort of another. She would not be denied surety or her due in blood and bone and marrow...

Ushiwa 1
The message had been well recieved, this was the strongest lead they had yet and thus he was going with his love and together they may bring their daughter home this day. He wanted to hope, he really did, but it had been a long time. Nothing would stop him from trying though, he missed his delicate daughter greatly always.

He placed a hand on Sae's thigh on her mount beside him, reassuring them both. Plus where Ein went he oft went as well.

Saeruin 1

It was another strong lead, more so than the last few and she felt hope bloom in her heart, she appreciated her mate's touch though. He was her rock not once had he shown any doubt that they would find their daughter.

She needed that so that her own hope didn't fade. It was the worst feeling in the world, loosing your child or your mate.

They were riding on coordinates that should have them intersect with Variel's party.

Sae admired her for being able to leave their babies behind but well Ein was with them and that was good enough for Sae. A healer could stop a hard as easily as return it to sinus rythym.

Alizeh 1

From what the little one had told them she was from a coastal place with lots of sand. It landed them in Oba first. It was a lot hotter than what she was used to but she could deal with it. As she walked with Elaxi she kept a close eye on the girl. Though it was harder to lose her in the crowds now since her purple hair stood out more now. Her sister was busy getting supplies for them so she and the girl were just walking around to see if anything was familiar.

Elaxi 1

Xi stayed close to Alizeh, holding onto the Elaria's hand as they walked. Luleta had gone off to get supplies and the girl had frowned at that. She liked having them both around as she felt safer. Though just one of the tall girls was enough to keep strangers away.

As they walked around she tried to find something that she knew. Anything that stood out. When she saw nothing she looked up at Ali and shook her head, tears forming already.

Viltre, by comparison to his companion, held a good deal less optimism. With so much time passed, so many possibilities opened up before them, only about a third good. The tip had been a good one, about as reliable as the fledgeling network could get in these parts. They already knew where the group had gone, but the girl had passed through this town on the way. It was always worth confirming a chain of events before relying upon them.

That said, he and Variel currently strode beside one another, her free hand wrapped up in the reins of her mount. Xarthin had grumbled at being pulled from the ladies, but he didn't put up too much fuss. They'd opted to be quiet about things to start, just gather up some rumours directly and scout ahead, as it were. The tall redhead scanned around, as was his won't, glancing over several interesting folk when mounted people caught his attention. Familiar ones. Familiar ones who were throwing subtlety out the window and just riding right into town, proud as you please. To his credit, he neither broke stride not changed expression a hair. Instead, the thief nosed at his mate's hair, trying to get her attention. "Var? Am I going senile? Only that looks a lot like our new in-laws to our back."

Var 2

She pretended to stretch, after shivering at her mates touch. He still affected her like the first day ..well the first day that they remembered anyway.

Glancing back she straightened muscles loose and ready. "Yeeep. That would be them." She nuzzled him back to get close enough, she also enjoyed it.

"Guess they no longer care about subtle." She sighed. "Hmm though where Ushi is..." No Ein wouldn't leave the children unless she could find a proper babysitter.

"What do we do now?"

Well, apparently she'd been a bit distracted by Ushi and Sae. And that made sense! Those two had some presence to them! In that people tended to clear out of their way. Lil' Tia and Ior were safe an' snug back with their grandparents, to Ninaleth's delight. And Ray was in a small cage on the saddle. Couldn't well keep the poor noodle in her sleeve while riding, now could she? Besides, there'd be someone to keep him company when they got to Oba and got the real hunt underway.

As they'd done away with subtle, at least at this early stage, Einsol raised her rough hands and cupped them about her mouth to call ahead. "Hoy! D'ja think we can't see ya? Come on over, you two!" While she meant her own mates, the healer's was a voice that could carry, on the rare occasion that she raised it. While it might soon be obvious who was meant, it did travel a good ways through an open market, especially with her elevated position...

Ushi 2
He turned at the voice as familiar to him as his own, his twins rather exuberantly loud voice, though turning her body position seemed to indicate others, maybe they had caught up with the vanguard.

"Most excellent, what better way to bring back our daughter than in an impossibly overarmed group. No one dare take her ever again."

He may have been a bit.. frothy.

Sae 2

She raised her eyebrow at her her mate who seemed to be about to cough in a rather gollumy way. Though she felt the same. With poise she turned to Einsol and guided her mount where she wanted it to go.

"One step at a time Ushi. We will find her."

She knew they would in her heart of hearts, a mother could think no less.

Ali 2

She noticed the tears in the girls eyes and frowned a bit. It always made the Elaria feel a bit upset herself to see the little earthling cry. So she glanced around before looking back down at Elaxi. She held her arms out to see if the girl wanted to be lifted up as she had been when they first started their journey. Granted the girl had grown a bit since then but with Alizeh's height it was still easy to do. "Don't worry.. we'll find something. We only just got here." She tried soothing the girl a bit with her words, though in truth she thought her sister was better at that.

Elaxi 2

She couldn't really control the tears. They had a mind of their own. However, she seemed to brighten up with Alizeh offered to lift her up. Xi nodded her head and shifted so that she could lift her own arms up and grab hold before she was picked up off the ground like a child. She might be older now but Ali and Luleta spoiled her with affection when she needed it. Alizeh the most. "I should have paid more attention back then..." Xi frowned.

There had been some shouting in the background somewhere, not that she'd made out the words of it, but with them being in the city she knew it was common enough. So she didn't bother to look around for the source. Alizeh didn't seem too upset with the yells either so she knew they were safe.

Another man might have displayed annoyance, but Viltre neither felt nor acknowledged the convention. The situation had changed was all. They did that. Instead, he murmured into the warrior's rounded ear and painted on a wider smile. "Stealth is out. May as well embrace boldness." Arm slipping through Variel's, he slid easily through the crowd towards the mounted trio.

His low voice hadn't the healer's power, but it carried when he wanted it to. And the Kavensei scribe definitely wanted to be heard. Apparently, Ushiwa's twin was the one to spot them so far. He's looking a touch excitable today. Best not surprise him. "Ein, you're early! We haven't been in town a day yet. Hadn't even got 'round to arranging your rooms." He ran with her unexpected course as though it had all been part of the outline from the start. If they were to be conspicuous, better to be seen as a cohesive unit. "Come now, let's see to your accomodations, shall we? Stabling as well. Just this way..."

Variel 3

She welcomed his supporting arm around her and waved exuberantly at their mate and their mate's brother, and their mate's brother's mate. The word play pleased her somehow. It was the little things in life, speaking of which she wanted to get back to her little things. But also would rather be nowhere but here on the front lines of a family crisis.

She was sure Ein would have found a qualified babysitter so she didn't even ask. Ein was just as much their Mother and was here for similar reasons, to be with her brother and to hopefully bring their lost one home. Ein for the most part was easy enough to read. She thought a little differently but that was a clan trait and not at all abnormal for this particular Matori peninsula.

"Glad you caught up." She did feel better with Ein there. The children had a whole ranch to look after them. She was still working her way up to fighting prime after giving birth and the extra support of safety for all was welcome.
