He was not surprised that the first thing which hit his senses was the loud music, it always was, it wasn't bad but it was still loud and took some moments to adjust to. That beat hit you and you could feel in your chest, like a preasure, and made everything else hard to hear and even could make breathing a thing. The darkness with brilliant lights flashing was secondary to the music. Third thing was all the people milling around, and the large amount in close quarters on the dance floor, the place was packed.
Too many people was his first thought, he didn't like this many people, but taking a deep breath and reminding himself he was here for a friend had Ian moving further into the press of people and moving around bodies dressed in various darkly colored cloths.
He was certain to some of them he stood out but he honestly didn't care all that much, not when he'd been invited by a friend, the music wasn't all that bad either. It wasn't his sort of thing typically but it also wasn't pop music, which he was pretty sure might drive him mildly insane. All in all it was tolerable and as he made for the bar, intending on a drink for himself, the green eyed male couldn't help his eyes roaming over one of those tending bar. Not bad look, really not bad at all in fact, though they were a bit over the top in their clothing choices but he couldn't fault them for it either. They somehow made it look good.
After paying, and taking a sip form his drink, Ian made his way closer to the source of the music.

Nocturna Night was one of Yukio's favorite dance clubs to DJ at. It was one of the few goth nights in Destiny City, and playing for an underserved and much-maligned subculture made him happy. He was spinning some of the classics of the genre tonight, Ministry and The Mission UK and such, occasionally throwing in some industrial like Skinny Puppy as well; the mix seemed to be going over well, given the number of bodies on the dance floor. It wasn't a big place, but it was nicely full tonight. From his vantage point in the DJ booth he could see the entire club, from the entrance to the bar to the tables beneath his perch. It was from here that he spotted a man who looked like he'd not be out of place at a My Chemical Romance show, a bit more emo-looking than the goth kids, getting a drink at the bar. Bit older, too, even though there were plenty of elder-goths in the crowd. As the other looked up at the booth, Yukio decided this had to be Ian. The song he was currently playing was close to ending, so he queued up "Famous Last Words" by MCR, and as the song kicked off he picked up his phone, hopped into Discord, and messaged Ian. hey, I'm up in the dj booth. I'll be down in a bit. I'll grab that table right down there below the booth for us.It was then that his replacement Spooky D showed up, slipping into the booth from the narrow steps at the back of the club. "Just in time," Yukio said into her ear, "I'm meeting a friend. It's all yours." He let her take command of the mixer and stepped out, taking his phone and laptop with him. As Spooky started up "Amnesia" by KMFDM, Yukio cautiously made his way down the steps to the table he'd indicated and sat down to wait for Ian. He didn't think he'd have any trouble being recognized; his long blue hair, little round rainbow shades and black top hat were fairly distinctive. Sleet Tempest Snape what should we title this log? Most of the music was unfamiliar to him, he wasn't aware of the gothic music choices, he knew it wasn't anything he'd ever listen to though. So it was a shock to hear some music he did know, even if the other had told him he'd put on some music Ian might know, he was glad to see people not complaining about the change up in tunes though as he had figured they might. It seemed they didn't mind it all that much, even if one or two people did look at him, he knew he was the odd one out who stood out in this group of people. He wasn't wearing white powder with black make up on, though he also looked like he didn't see much sun light. There were so many obvious differences and yet a few things were common, the general darker clothing choices being a big one.
When his phone went off, mid sip, he pulled it out of the pocket of his pants and unlocked the screen. Eyeing the message he tapped out a responce and hit send. I'll be there in a moment. and he did start making his way towards the booth and the chairs down below the dj booth. His drink was in his right hand while his left hand was stuffed into a pocket.
Just as he was reaching the seating area someone else, a blue haired someone, was sitting down. "Seat taken or can I join you?" Raising a pierced brow at the other even as he took a seat across from the other, eyeing the laptop on the tabletop. "I have to say I was pleased with the change in song at one point." Figuring it was a nod to him since it wouldn't normally fit in here.
"It's nice to finally meet you in real life, one of my best friends." And all of his friends, aside from those he lived with, were all online. To meet one finally was a shocking thing but also a good thing, in a sense, it was nice to put a face to a person and get close to one of them...to get away from a computer screen and touch grass.tatterpixie Oh god, I suck with deciding titles for rp's.

"Thank you," Yukio nodded as Ian took a seat. "I figured it wouldn't upset the mojo of the dancers and still be a shoutout to you and your musical tastes." He saw his friend eye the laptop and gave a tiny half-smile. "Because this place has its own DJ rig, I can't preload it with songs, so I plug my laptop into it. It allows me to add effects and transitions as well as cut other songs in when I want to. Makes me a bit more versatile than most other DJs." He looked at Ian, as pleased an expression on his face as he could manage. "It's nice to finally put a face to you as well. I have very few meatspace friends, so it's doubly good to add you to the list." And it was true – most of his friends were on Discord, either the local DJ server or the hacker servers he frequented. He knew some of the other DJs in person, but Ian was the first of his hacker circle he'd actually met. "I'm glad you could come out tonight. I must say I was delighted when I found out you were local to me. Hell, if you grew up here it's even possible we had crossed paths before – I used to hit all the LAN parties when I was in high school," he nearly smiled. "Remember those? Good times." Sleet Tempest Snape how about "Get Out and Touch Some Grass" for a title? XD
