The aura wasn't strong enough to be Fulgurite or Faustite or Albite or really most of the other agents that Nectaris actually knew. Maybe that was a good thing, though.

There had kinda been a lot of drama explosions in her circle of relationships lately. Maybe it'd be better if she ended up running into someone who wasn't involved in all that. Plus, like, of course she had to check the aura out. She was a Knight, she was protecting the city, she was making up for being evil or whatever.

Although she didn't really wanna fight so she breathed a small sigh of relief when the mystery stranger didn't turn out to be pulling starseeds or anything.

"Okay!" she said with a bright grin on her face as she skipped across the distance between them. "I won't attack you. That's easy. Your jacket thing's really cool, by the way."

Usually the Negaverse outfits weren't as interesting as what Order had, but she could give credit where credit was due. That was nice.

"I'm a Moon Knight!" said Nectaris, holding out her staff so that the Captain could see the crescent shapes on both sides. She made sure that she was holding it straight up so that it didn't look like she was pointing it at anyone, though. She knew people got freaked out by that.

"I mean, sometimes people call me a butterfly Knight, and they're not wrong, but that's more of like, a motif? I think that's the word. The Moon is my planet." Not that it was a planet. Nectaris squinted. "My allegiance? Yeah."

She took the hand, and gave several energetic shakes before she let go again.

"I guess I could add pink Knight to my list of titles, but I think there's plenty of us with pink in our outfits. I mean, we're, like, magical girls and boys, sparkly cartoon characters. It was bound to happen."

Nectaris seemed lost in thought for a second before she added, "But my name? That's Nectaris! It's nice to meet you."

Nectaris let her gaze follow the Captain's up to the sky. She was always up for staring at the moon, especially since becoming a Knight of it.

"It means I'm, like, connected to the Moon," she said. "I have a place up there that's mind to take care of, and protect. My Wonder, that's what it's called. Knights all serve the same power, but it's split up, kinda? Into these places? So depending where your place is, your clothes and your powers and stuff show up differently."

At least, that was how it worked the best she could figure out. Her main mentor was a senshi, so he didn't know as much about the details as someone else might.

Part of her wanted to say she'd been chosen by the Moon, bu when stuff was going well like this, she didn't know if she just wanted to put it on the table that she was a traitor.

"You can be curious! That's okay! I might not know all the answers, though."

"Yeah, I've been there!" said Nectaris, 'cause that was the easy part to answer. "It's not quite like the NASA stuff. More, uh, magical? And, like, with buildings? Although, like, kinda old and broken magical. I don't think anyone's been up there in a while."

Then she paused, and chewed her cheeks, and looked at the moon some more. On one hand, she didn't wanna say the wrong thing and, like, flip a switch in this Captain's head. On the other hand, she was nothing if not honest.

"The Moon picked me," she said. "When I uh. Left the Negaverse. Yeah."

She gave Retzian a kinda awkward smile, like that would excuse the part where she was a traitor.

"I broke a captive out who they were torturing, and, like, apparently I thought I was gonna die for it but the Moon teleported me up there at the last second. I don't really remember that part, though."

"Oh yeah, it's definitely super hard," said Nectaris, although she was also definitely smiling right at this moment. "I still cry at night, uh, kinda a lot, cause of how I ended up still remembering my family, but I can't go back. I'm getting better at crying less, though!"

In moments like this, where she was talking to someone interesting, it was easier to keep her mind away from the bad stuff. It was easier not to cry. Hopefully she didn't keep pressing, though, 'cause she didn't think she wanted this to end up like that time a week ago when she'd ended up unloading on Fulgurite and crying all over his shirt.

"But yeah, you need a Princess! The one I broke out was actually a Princess, and then once I got up to the Moon, Cosmos was there, too. She's like-" Nectaris puffed out her cheeks, thinking. Goddess was probably too strong of a word, but, "Super strong. She's the one who got the Chaos out, for me. She like, burned it out, kinda?"
