For once, Retzian wasn’t looking to talk with anyone. She was just out for a walk. It wasn’t time to meet the other alien and his husband…well. To hopefully meet the other alien and his husband, nor was it time to meet Daphne again and show her the grave she had made…so honestly, she somewhat hoped that she would run into Dagon…though, that could get messy, and honestly might cause tears that Retzian wasn’t completely sure of sharing…
She…lusted after Dagon, but…truthfully, she didn’t know her at all yet. Didn’t know much about her other than the fact that she claimed Retzian was her wife…or…whatever.
And that she danced well.
And that holding hands with her made everything seem fuzzy and warm.
Quietly, Retzian closed her own eyes and began to sway softly, pretending that Dagon was there with her, and when she felt the aura of a Senshi, her eyes flew open, half expecting to see the blue woman standing in front of her, but instead.
“Daphne! What a nice treat to run into you early! I wasn’t expecting to see you for a few more days!” The smile on her face was genuine, even if there was a flash of disappointment in her eyes.
Ah well, daydreams didn’t come true often anyway, so.

She really did just keep running into Retzian, didn't she? Recent events had helped a little with Daphne's motivation. She knew that she'd need to be stronger to face off against the Chaos on her world, to save what she could there and return the rest to the cycle. So, she was patrolling, ready to test out her skills on Earth in the meantime. Only, instead of finding someone who was doing something evil, she found herself face to face with a familiar blue-haired figure, who seemed to be dancing? She couldn't help it. Daphne smiled. "Retzian!" she called out, and this time she was the one who went in for the hug, wrapping her arms as well as her tail around the taller woman. "You look happy," she said.

The hug made Retzian feel all melty inside and she laughed, returning it and pressing a kiss to the top of Daphne’s head. “I was just lost in my thoughts, kitten. But. Oh! Do you trust me? I want to show you something, but it’s on the other side of the city, if you trust me, I’d be happy to teleport us both there! It’s…important, and I hadn’t known I was going to see you today!”
Still, she had cat food and a fresh bottle of water in her subspace, it would do good to make sure the grave was taken care of regardless. “It’s something I think you’ll like, I promise.”
At least, she hoped that Daphne would.

Did she trust her? Daphne liked her. She knew that. She'd been very sweet, even after the awkwardness of their first encounter. Daphne also knew that she felt more comfortable here, hugging her, than she'd felt anywhere else in a very long time. All that didn't completely change the fact that the Chaos coming off of her in waves made the fur on Daphne's tail prickle up. Then, what was the worst that could happen? She could end up dead? She could end up corrupted? Neither was idea, exactly, but it also wasn't so much worse than her current situation. "Okay," she said. "You can show me. Now I'm curious."

Retzian smiled and held Daphne a little closer. “You’re going to have to get back home on your own, I’m getting better with the whole teleporting, but I’m still a one and done kind of person if there’s two of us, so…hold on tight, my kitten.”
Drawing in a breath, she closed her eyes and teleported them both to the cemetery, right by the grave she had prepared for Daphne’s family. For Daphne’s mourning.
When they arrived, Retzian took a moment and sank to the ground, feeling utterly winded from the endeavor, but pleased that it had worked so well. She was still conscious too, so…obviously she was getting better at it. “I finished their memorial, Daphne. And um. You said that cats were important, so I wanted to make it a place that was very cat friendly…”

Daphne squeezed her eyes shut, and when she opened them, she wasn't dead. She wasn't corrupted. She was fine. Retzian, on the other hand, was falling over. Her face looked pale. Daphne stayed holding tight to her, kneeling next to her as she went down and making sure she wasn't about to hit anything. "You didn't say that this was going to hurt you," she said, her brows scrunching together. She'd already been going through so much, and even though she'd only known this woman for a few days, she'd been such a bright spot. If something bad happened to Retzian- No. She wouldn't let it. At least she seemed to be catching her breath, and so Daphne looked up. That was when she saw the stone. "How?" she breathed, even as she was starting to inch closer. She knew the woman had mentioned money, but so quickly? And, there was a picture of a cat on it. Cat bowls, too. Daphne was stumbling forwards, then, tears already starting to come to her eyes, although it was only half from the grief, this time, and more from the kindness of the gesture. "This is so beautiful."

“It didn’t hurt me, it just takes a lot of energy, that’s all. And I’m getting a lot better at it, Kitten, I promise.”
Breaking off her words, Retzian watched as Daphne took in the grave and then stumbled, swallowing hard. “...Are you okay, Kitten? I…” She took a deep breath, gathering her strength and moved to kneel beside Daphne, drawing her into a half hug. “...I wanted it to be special for you. And I thought…you’d be able to take care of stray cats this way too…and it might…I don’t know. Help you feel better. If you can’t fix your world right away, you can change the world for some of the Earth cats.”
Quietly she pulled the bag of food and the bottle of water from her subspace pocket, placing it into Daphne’s lap. “I made sure it’s big enough so that they can hang out, and for the flowers, it’s a plant called Silvervine and it’s like catnip…or at least that’s what the internet says. But it had really pretty flowers so…I thought it would be a good touch.”

"I-" Okay was a lot to be, when she was looking at a freshly carved memorial for her family. It was sweet. It was probably the sweetest thing that anyone had done for her since back when she'd arrived, Malcolm had found her and given her part of his room to sleep in. It was bittersweet, though, because it was a stone, a memorial. It was also a reminder that her people weren't even supposed to have stones, that she still wasn't able to mourn her family in the real way. So, she didn't answer. Retzian was trying, though. She'd remembered what Daphne had said about her culture. She'd remembered the cats. Daphne could watch over the creatures, and in turn, they could watch over the memories of her family while she worked on the rest. "I love it," she said. "All of it." Later, maybe, she would sit by the stone in silent remembrance, or she would work with these earth cats, but for now she simply buried her face into Retzian's shoulder. "Thank you," she murmured, even as her voice trembled. The cat food in her lap was left there for now. " Thank you."

Retzian swallowed and wrapped an arm around her, and then the other. “I’ve got you, Daphne. I’m here. You’re not alone. It’s not perfect, I know but…it’s what I can do…and.”
She drew in a breath, chewing her lip for a moment as she thought through what she wanted to say. “...And I’m going to try to leave. So that I can take care of you more often, if you’d like me to. I mean. Leave…the Negaverse. Chaos. If I can. I…thought you should be the first to know.”
It was her fault, anyway. And there was much more dignity in leaving because she wanted to watch over someone than…
Leaving because she wanted to sleep with a sexy fish.
Her hand reached up and smoothed down Daphne’s hair and Retzian sighed. “...I just have to figure out how.”

"You're helping," Daphne assured her, even as she cried. There was something more refreshing about these tears compared to some of the others she'd cried lately, though. There was something more healing. "You already mean a lot to me, Retzian. I hope you understand that. I didn't think anyone who wasn't like me could help, but-" She'd been proven wrong, and she was so, so glad for it. At the confession that she was thinking of leaving, though, Daphne sat straight upright, even pulling away from the hug. "Really? Oh." Daphne wiped at her eyes, her attention pulled away from her dead relatives for the moment. "Then I won't have to get embarrassed about being emotional in front of an enemy," she said, and then, more serious, added, "And I won't feel smothered by the Chaos that destroyed my world every time I'm around you. It's a lot. I was going to say something, but-" Now she didn't have to. "I have some connections on the Order side," she added. "People who have purified, and others, too. Maybe I can help you, too?"

“I’ll take any help that you can give me, Daphne. I would appreciate it.”
Retzian swallowed hard and her throat felt very dry. Everything felt very dry.
…She had just said out loud that she was going to become a traitor. And…the worst part was…she had meant it.
“...Maybe. Talk with whoever you can and I’ll…um. I’ll plan or…or something…I…”
For some reason, she felt even more dizzy now than when she had teleported the two of them here…and her skin was feeling itchy and…
With a soft sigh, Retzian placed a kiss on Daphne’s forehead. “I need to go right now…but. I’ll see you soon, okay? We can still meet up as we planned to, if you want…but.”
Pulling away, Retzian gathered the last of her energy and grimaced, giving a small wave as she teleported once again, close enough that she could see her house. Powering down, she slowly made her way inside and laid face down on her couch, slipping into unconsciousness, which was blissful after the guilt and horror she was feeling.
