 Itotia was making a rare appearance around town. With how busy she was running her dancing hall, many didn't see her unless they came to visit. That being said, because of how much funding and patrons she brought in, many recognized the petite yaeli and greeted her warmly. Often Itotia would muse after a long trip at how much had changed since she first came to these lands, reminding herself of why she did all this.
To protect those wayward souls that wandered through her doors.
Keen silver eyes looked about as she finished picking up her supplies, taking note of the many visitors who came into town. She wondered if she might need to offer a nice safe home for any this time around. She always tended to return back with strays...

After her swim on the beaches of Matori, she made her way further up the boardwalk and closer to town, her other reason why she came to Matori was to find a dance mentor to guide and help her reach her goal of becoming prima. She strolled around town looking at the stores and whatever else they were offering, she was wondering if she would find a dance mentor somewhere here, from what she had heard from running into a nephew she didn't know existed that was a higher chance of performers in town then there was out on the beach.
She hummed to herself as she strolled along, taking in her surroundings that she wasn't paying attention to who was in front of her and ended up bumping into someone who was carrying supplies, she let out a small gasp that brought her attention away from her surroundings "I am so sorry...I wasn't watching where I was going" she said to the other.

The small body that bumped into her wasn't enough to knock her over, but it was enough for her to nearly spin around and snap. Old habits die hard, and as she turned her silver eyes looked sharply down at the meek girl before her. The accent was different, and Itotia struggled a moment to connect the dots. "You must be new..." she mumbled in Yaelish, before one of her dancers rushed over and spoke rapidly in Matorian. Itotia knew enough of each language from the dancers and musicians who worked at her hall, but it was only Oban, Matorian, Yaelish and Jauharan that she would consider herself fully fluent, maybe Sautish from her time with Aserea. Handing the supplies over to the over eager dancer, she shooed her off before turning and tutting her tongue down at the young girl. "Pay attention, or you'll get hurt." she finally added, in common, her voice smooth as she took in the appearance of the girl.

Fajra squeaked as she was scolded, she stepped back a few steps to increase the distance so she could talk to the other appropriately instead of in her face she nodded solemnly "I apologize..I'm just new around here" she admitted a little sheepish. She mentally scolded herself, for not being more aware of her surroundings, what a great first impression. She took a breath before looking up at who she had bumped into "My name is Fajra" she said confidently.

[ 3 / 7 ] At least the girl seemed to understand common, though if she was traveling it was probably required. Itotia continued to examine her with a keen eye, before heaving a long sigh as her shoulders loosened. This little fawn wasn't a threat, and she learned early on that many lost doves responded to reassurance and not strong chiding. "Itotia." She responded simply, "Are you traveling on your own?" She was so young, so meek, that Itotia was concerned she might not be strong enough to deal with the darker parts of this area of the land. Especially with recent reports of pirates and kidnappings that were often whispered among her halls.

Fajra nodded her head “yes, I am but I struggle to understand the local language ” she said tilting her head to the side. She thought about it wait...did she even know what the native language was here. She was trying to remember if her mother's lessons taught her about the linguistics of each place. Itotia definitely had a different accent from what she was used to hearing around her, mainly because the majority of the time she was at home in Tale.

[ 4 / 7 ] Her eyes narrowed as she tutted a bit, " It is quite difficult to travel if you cannot communicate." Crossing her arms as she thought a long moment, she added a quick query, " What exactly are you doing traveling on your own?" This young girl was very out of her element, " There's a lot of dangers for a young girl like yourself..." She would know, considering her own past.

[4/7] Fajra frowned and nodded her head solemnly "I know, it was not my wisest decision" she admitted. She took a few seconds to think about her answer and the best way to communicate it to her "I'am...out seeking a mentor to help me with a goal I want to achieve" she told the other. It definitely was not a well-planned out excursion, next time she decided to venture out and away from her she would need to plan it out much better.

[ 5 / 7 ] Brow furrowing at the vague answer, Itotia resisted the urge to snap her fingers. This young girl was not one of her seasoned dancers, so she needed to be patient. It didn't help that she wanted to pull her hair out with how foolish the girl sounded. No plan, indeed. " No travel plans, no clear plans on how to find a mentor. Do you even have money or a change of clothing?" She asked, softly, no strain in her voice as she began to pity the young girl before her. Her mind already was at work determining if she had the space and tasks for the girl to stick around. She knew she had a spare bed, at least. And the girl seemed comely enough to do some work around the hall.

[5/7] Fajra sighed a little as she glanced away from the other, getting the sense that she was starting to get frustrated with her poor plan when she left home in the first place. She was starting to get a tad discouraged with herself, she let out a soft sigh and shook her head lightly. "I do not, it was just a spontaneous decision," she said and it was also probably a reckless decision. She was starting to reconsider going back home and then deciding to maybe find a mentor somewhere there instead of leaving home.

[ 6 / 7 ] Itotia was silent for another long moment, before letting out a low sigh. " Very well. Come along, I'll make sure you've got a warm bed and some food. We'll make sure you are safe for tonight and can talk about long term. If you can hold a tune or dance, you're welcome to stay at my hall for as long as you need. Otherwise, I'll ensure you have enough until you decide where to go next." She hesitated, before patting the girl gently on the shoulder twice, " Many wanderers find their way to my door. I've always prided myself on creating a safe haven for those lost. So don't fret, Fajra. You're safe as long as you need it."

[6/7] Fajra steepled her fingers together before nodding her head "That is very much appreciated" she said next time she decided to go on a spontaneous trip she would need to come up with a better plan on how she was going to survive, at the same time she was glad that she ran into Itotia, at least for the time being she had a roof over her head and a warm meal. "If there is any way for me to make it up to you for taking me in, please do not hesitate to ask," she said. She would need to come up with a way to graciously thank Itotia for taking her in.

[ 7 / 7 ] The elder earthling nodded once, a small smile across her face. " Oh trust me, there is plenty for you to do at the hall. If you don't wish to work as a dancer or musician, I can always use an extra pair of hands for errands or cleaning." As they began to walk away, she added, " I do not force anyone to stay in my halls. You are welcome as long as you need it, and free to go. All I ask is you give back whenever you can." This quiet girl would probably do well to be onboarded by Goran, Taliessin might be a bit too much energy right off the bat. Either way, she hoped this would be a good experience for both of them.

[7/7] Fajra nodded her head lightly listening attentively as the older one spoke, her venturing out on her own might not have been her smartest idea but she was respectful and spoke only when she was spoken to. She followed the older Earthling. “Thank you again for helping me out, I won’t disappoint you” she soad with a soft smile.
