Day # 1 Theme: Fairies Time spent: 2h
Comments: Today. Today my scanner decides to explode! Please excuse the cruddy photos; I'm too tired to try and wrangle the printer this evening.
Spent about 45 minutes sketching (in spoilers) and 1 hour 15 on the final piece. Final drawing is Molotow fineliner and W&N Promarkers on A5 paper.
Comments: Put the image in spoilers in case it was a bug. Please let me know if it's ok to unspoiler it 'cause I love this one and I want to show it off!
Started off with a big snail but it looked a bit meh when I inked it. And it only took about 15 minutes but I didn't want to take it any further. So I decided to try a simpler cartoony style and experiment with different views of snails and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out heart

Day # 3 Theme: Sun / Saturn Time spent: 1.5h
Comments:This looked so much better in my head. I think I should have used brighter colours for Saturn; he looks a bit washed out. And that sun is freaking me out a bit, it's giving me tellytubby vibes gonk
It's been a really long day so I'm not going to redo it now. Half hour sketching and lining and about an hour colouring.
Comments: I REALLY wanted to just do a quick drawing today. So I decided to draw wolf pups and try and keep them cartoonish and simple and as always I over egged it and kept starting over and in the ind I might as well have just sat down and drawn the big wolf that is clearly trying to escape onto the paper rolleyes
So, I present Wolf Pups that look like fat yorkshire terriers!

Day # 5 Theme: Meet the Artist Time spent: 1.5h
Comments: I always seem to really struggle with this theme. I'm happy with how it's coming along and I think it's better than the ones I've provided in previous years. I've had a stupidly busy day today so I'm leaving this as a work in progress, I'll colour it in when I get a minute later in the week.
Comments:Ugh I've just had the worst day today! Everything I've touched has broken. And to cap it all off there's something wrong with my freezer and it blew the circuit board for the entire loop of downstairs plug sockets so it's been 2 hours of unplugging everything and trying to reset the fuse box and plugging each appliance back in one at a time to see if it blows up again.
Needless to say I did not feel much like drawing this evening.
But I have. Once again trying to keep it really simple and managed it without too much bother today. I will colour these little guys in at some point but it's fast approaching midnight and I'm pooped!

Day # 7 Theme: Worm Moon Time spent: 4h+
Comments: It's in spoilers because there are a couple of tiny creepy crawlies in there. Not scary ones though. Busted my wotsits to get this finished tonight! Still needs a little bit of tweaking but I'm happy with it.
Comments:OMG I had so much fun drawing this! xd It's unlikely that the Fairy will speak to me again after this so probably no more fairy pictures this week! rofl

Day # 9 Theme: Owl Time spent: 1h30
Comments: Experimenting with rainbow owls and trying to avoid making them look like fat parrots. Blue and Purple may have worked. Pink not so much.
Comments: Decided to use today to finish my Artist Card from day 5. It was all going great until the pen that I used 5 days ago (which should have been completely dry) smeared all over the place. So now I have a dirty face rolleyes Why does that always happen right as you're about to finish and not on the first colour?
I also had a go at colouring in my chameleons. I was really hoping to make them spotty but the dots looks weird. I think they need a background colour maybe. I tried colouring one edge to edge and I'll draw some circles on tomorrow when I'm not half asleep.

Day # 11 Theme: Lily of the Incas Time spent: 1h30
Comments: Wasn't that enthused with the topics today. And I'm feeling a bit lazy because it's been a hectic week! Pretty happy with my little flowers though smile
Comments: So, today just happens to be the 7=+1th anniversary of my favourite authors death. And the fantastic world he created is carried through space on the backs of 4 enormous elephants carried on the back of an even more enormous turtle.
So I've done a wee homage to the great man.
