Overview
What Remains of Urwinten is a sandbox RPG with a custom system inspired both by rules-light systems like Dungeon World with some more simulationist bits. It is shaped primarily by how players want to interact with it, and always focuses on the
fundamentals.
Why should you join
Urwinten?
• If you like roleplay-focused tabletop RPGs, you might enjoy this game.
• If you like collaborative storytelling and shaping a setting, you may like this game.
• If you like number go up, there's lots of numbers to go up in this game.
To do something in
Urwinten, simply describe how you do it. The GM will usually tell you to roll +Modifier. That something depends on the skill or attribute best fitting the action. You can fight, search, build, garden--whatever your heart desires, there's a Modifier to improve. The actual dice you'll roll is one d100.
On a 90+, you succeed.
On a 60-89, you succeed, but there are complications.
On a 59 or less, you fail the action, and the GM makes a move. You also gain a point in the Modifier you used.
Don't be afraid to fail, for in
Urwinten, it is the surest way to improve.
Players have a pool called Stamina. It represents your power to take action. Your Stamina goes up to 100, and depletes when you take action. Usually this means it will go down by a d10, but it can be more or less depending on the action and situation. If your Stamina hits 0, you are exhausted, and cannot roll on any more actions.
Your Stamina is restored by 25 every Rollover, which is roughly one real-time day (exact time to be determined.) You can also find other ways to restore your Stamina; food and medicine are two such ways.
The GM promises to whip up responses to player posts at least once per Rollover, and more whenever possible.
