Hobbies:
Sports - Riker plays a variety of sports, partially for enjoyment, and partially for the social benefits involved. Extracurricular activities look good on a résumé, and they’re socially acceptable leisure activities for the kind of people who don’t care about résumés. He plays baseball in the spring and summer, usually at third base, but he can switch to first when necessary, and he runs cross country in the fall and winter. Riker also likes swimming as a form of exercise, but doesn’t compete.
Video Games - One might think, based on his behavior in other areas of his life, that Riker would enjoy multiplayer games for the sole purpose of harassing other people online, but while he can occasionally be roped into them by his friends, classmates, or other acquaintances, he tends to stick with single player options, particularly roleplaying games. Video games are his one escape, a way for him to take a break from the need to please and impress other people, and seek refuge from their judgment.
Virtues:
Decisive - Riker likes to think he knows what needs to be done, and he isn’t afraid to do it. He’s ready to make decisions and take the lead, whether or not he’s particularly good at either of those things. Riker is strong-willed and determined, with a toughness and endurance that seems unshakable. He rarely hesitates, and perseveres even in the face of hardship. Some might think him courageous, but the truth is that Riker would rather face the consequences of his actions than miss out by wavering.
Protective - He may seem self-involved to those who make no effort to dig beneath the image he projects, but Riker cares deeply about the thoughts and opinions of others, and the safety of the people who are important to him. He will defend his friends against criticism or critique, and protect them in the face of danger. Riker might not be the best shoulder to cry on (crying in all its forms makes Riker uncomfortable), but he’ll tackle whatever problems his friends might have without so much as being asked. It’s how he shows his love.
Vigilant - Projecting an image means being aware of his surroundings and the people who inhabit them. It means understanding how others think, what they feel, and how they’re likely to respond. Riker is watchful and attentive, a quality he’s developed after years of caring a bit too much about pleasing the right wrong people. He is observant, always on the lookout for any opportunity to promote himself or safeguard the interests of those he cares for. Being vigilant leads to greater odds of success, and the praise and acceptance he craves.
Flaws:
Combative - Riker always seems to be looking for a fight, whether it’s kids at school who don’t meet the standards of the people he’s desperate to impress, or random strangers out in public who might say or do something he considers wrong. He thinks antagonism and aggressiveness make him cool, because it’s what he was taught by the people he looks up to. He generally knows where to draw the line to avoid getting into trouble, but he has been known to take things too far on occasion. He hasn’t always come out of his encounters unscathed, and can unintentionally draw his friends into things they’d be best left out of.
Defiant - Riker has a problem with figures of authority, particularly figures of authority he doesn’t agree with. The ones he likes and respects receive no spitefulness and minimal opposition from him, but the people he doesn’t like? The ones he takes issue with? Riker will respond with belligerence, resentment, and clear refusal. He shows an open disregard and undeniable contempt for anyone who puts him into a position he doesn’t want to be in, especially those whose questions and comments hit a little too close to home. Try to dig beneath the image he projects, and Riker will defy, deny, and put up walls to protect himself.
Sycophantic - Though he doesn’t often seem to care what other people think of him, Riker does want to be liked and accepted by certain people. A lot of his behavior stems from his need to impress others who act like him, whose lives and circumstances mirror his own. He does what he does and says what he says because someone somewhere might think highly of him for doing and saying it. His need to fit in with a certain crowd has caused him to push others away, even people who might be better for him in the long run.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Wine red.
Hair: Dark brown, bordering on shaggy. Riker tries to tuck some of it behind his ears, but it’s just short enough to come loose despite his best efforts. His bangs frequently fall into his eyes.
Face: Conventionally attractive with well proportioned features, Riker could win more people over with a genuine smile. Unfortunately, those are rare. Riker sneers more than he smiles, and the smiles he does consent to show are carefully crafted.
Skin Tone: Riker has a medium caucasian skin tone with no freckles or blemishes.
Body Type: Athletic from playing sports, but nothing too difficult to maintain. Riker is currently 5’7” tall.
Clothes: Riker isn’t too fussy about clothing and tends to be most comfortable in jeans and t-shirts. He prefers dark colors and neutrals.

Page Weapon: A dull letter opener decorated with stained glass.
Squire Weapon: A dull ceremonial short sword of stained glass.
When Reims channels his magic, the lust for battle courses through him and his strength is increased, allowing him to hit twice as hard as he normally would. Every time his weapon makes contact, there is an extravagant burst of colorful light from his weapon, as if catching and shattering light even without a light source. This can be distracting but does not cause additional damage. His magic pool lasts for 30 seconds.

Every time his weapon makes contact, there is an extravagant burst of colorful light from his weapon, as if catching and shattering light even without a light source. The colorful light manifests into glass shards, always directed at his target. There are never more than three at a time, and no larger than his palm, that causes the sensation of moderate to severe lacerations. Players can choose to take lasting damage. His magic pool lasts for 45 seconds.
