The change in air pressure hurt.
Sailor Vilenius felt like he’d been picked up, crumbled into a ball and thrown into a wall. The breath had been sucked from his lungs, and the change in temperature was painful. His skin was icy to the touch, but the air here was thick and dense and hot.
He had to blink rapidly but he couldn’t see; the lights hurt his eyes.
He hadn’t arrived on his feet; he’d landed in a heap on the ground.
Gasping for breath. Clawing at the ground.
His long hair was coiled around him, pale and brittle. His clothes were cold and damp and stuck to his thin frame. He was pale, inhumanly so, and looked every bit as out of place as he felt.
His body was wracked with sudden, sickening pain–worse than he was used to. It didn’t help that a smothering, suffocating energy signature was on top of him. He didn’t recognize it, he just knew it was sick.
And then, he felt something in his hair.

Gismondine should know better by now, know that going on a patrol alone…even for someone who had become a General was always going to be a risk. Either he would find someone he wasn’t prepared to fight, or someone he didn’t want to fight or…end up in any sort of strange situation.
…Or someone would literally appear on the ground in front of him, and that someone would have way too much hair…
This was what seemed to be destined for this evening’s patrols, and as Gismondine felt himself start to fall as he tripped over the hair, the only thing that he could really think was the fact that this didn’t feel like a corrupted senshi…
…And perhaps that should have worried him more than it did, but, as it was, falling atop the mysterious stranger seemed to take precedence of all of the General’s thoughts. “...Oh, I…I’m sorry! Are you all right?”
The hair seemed to be multiplying, and as he tried to extricate himself from the flowing locks…it just kept attaching to him at different parts of his uniform.

The yank was sudden, and violent, and only added to the pain he was already feeling. He saw white in the corner of his vision–blinding, every bit as much as the glow of city lights. His eyes were watering almost instantly and he jerked quickly to grab his hair in fistfulls and yank it closer to him as he tried to untangle himself from–
He didn’t know. Something living, something breathing. A person?
Vilenius didn’t know what he’d said. Somewhere, in the back of his mind, it made sense. It just wasn’t the language he thought in. It wasn’t a language he’d heard in so long that it almost sounded new to him.
He was too angry to process it quickly, and he snarled as he elbowed and shoved to try and get the man off of him.
But the Chaos, there was so much Chaos.
It was crawling over his skin, prickling him, biting him.
Vilenius could return that favor. No matter how much he struggled, the man was still fumbling atop of him.
So, he shoved his face against him and bit, hard. Desperate. If the man was just going to keep struggling and making this worse, he just had to get him to stop moving.
And Chaos was better off dead, anyway.

Gismondine gave a sympathetic hum, obviously this was even worse to be the one with all of the hair and to have someone tangled up in it. “Okay, I can let you try and work it out, I’m just making it worse and I’m so sorry!”
The elbow to his gut didn’t feel good, but…it was understandable. This was uncomfortable and they were both…stuck.
When the person moved closer, Gismondine’s arm moved around him to try and help…if it was like some kind of a finger trap? That would make some sense but…
But then there was pain. So much of it. Teeth sank into his neck, and not in any sort of a good way at all, and the GEneral gave a yelp, suddenly struggling to draw himself away. “What…What?!”
He didn’t have much skin showing to begin with, his uniform made sure of that, so this…was rather astounding that this…this monster had managed to reach an exposed area of his neck.
As quickly as he could, Gismondine wrenched himself away, not caring about the hair that he pulled out while doing so. “What…what the hell?”
He stared at the senshi in pure horror, his hand moving to press down on the wound that was still hurting like crazy.

The metallic taste in his mouth would have assured Vilenius that he’d hit his mark even if he hadn’t seen the splash of red on Gismondine’s neck. His lip curled again, and the language seemed familiar again.
Enough that he understood, albeit still felt rusty. His adrenaline was high and he raised his hand to wipe the back of it along his mouth. The blood on his face smeared across the back of his hand. He didn’t care about the mess; the Chaos here could bleed.
Could be killed.
He grabbed his net of hair and, instead of trying to detangle the agent from it, yanked him closer.
He didn’t know what was going on, but he knew Chaos was wrong. And, he knew he was mad, and he was hurting.
At the very least, it was a good outlet. He needed to figure out where he was, and how he got here.
…And what he was supposed to do now.

Gismondine paused and stared blankly at the…goblin…? Senshi? Monster. For a long moment, his eyes taking in the blood around his lips, and when he had the presence of mind to look at his gloved hand and found it to be covered in blood too, an involuntary whimper escaped from his lips, and he fought even harder to break free from the hair, jerking and pulling himself backwards until he was on his feet again, trembling from the shock and from stark fear.
“You….one of these days…you’ll end up meeting someone who won’t just…”
Who wasn’t a coward. Who wasn’t so confused as to why he was being bitten.
Who would take care of the threat with the literal weapon he had…
But.
But for tonight, all that Gismondine could do was teleport away from the beast.
…and hope that the tears that had begun to leak out of his eyes hadn’t been noticed.
