Atheneite stood over a broken body of what used to be a man behind a seedy nightclub. She had honestly not been planning to work tonight, in fact she had gone to a lot of effort to get a fake ID just so that she could get into this club to unwind a little and have some fun. That fun had been ended when this man decided he would spend the night harassing the young woman to try and convince her to go home with him. She had made it very clear she was not interested in the man, who she felt was more than a little cretinous in both appearance and behavior. But the man would not leave her own and eventually her furry had reached a boiling point. She decided he was going to suffer tonight for ruining her evening.
She waited until he left for a smoke break behind the building to make her move. She transformed into Captain Atheneite and began draining the man's energy. She drained the man dry watching him collapse in a heap as he was knocked unconscious from the loss of energy. But that wasn't enough to satisfy the Captain, so using her foot to flip the downed man onto his back she reached into his chest and ripped out his still warm starseed. She was not gentle and she didn't care if her action killed the man right there on the spot or if he died slowly without his soul.
She tossed the starseed playfully in the air catching it again as she made to leave the scene of her murder, but that was when she noticed the prescene of another aura behind her. She turned around quickly to see a super senshi but not a a usual senshi. "What are you?" She inquired to the clearly non-human woman infront of her.

It was rare, Dagon thought, that she witnessed an officer of the Negaverse committing such a blatant and obvious act of murder. And one that she seemed so proud of, too--Dagon had found the scene far too late to stop anything, but, well, as long as there was light in the starseed, it might still be returned to its owner.
A cold anger frosted her over, as she observed the Captain juggling a man's soul in the air. It was almost interesting, to her, how she'd found things changing--how whens he had first made it to Earth, her anger burned hot, but now it simmered. Always just under the surface, always waiting.
She'd certainly gotten a bit softer on Chaos, since meeting Tristan. Since finding Retzian. Since...a lot of things that very heavily altered her perspective. But it was clear that Chaos was still evil, here, and that it infected cold, cruel hearts and made them colder and crueler. Gave them the power to do what they might only have fantasized about before.
So,a s the woman turned to face her, Dagon whisper-called on her magic, and felt it cloak her in its creeping fog.
And, once it had settled around her, Dagon smiled.
"I am Dread. And you will return that starseed where it belongs, or I will show you exactly how terrible I can be."Quote: Super Sailor Scout Attack: Aura of Dread! Dagon touches her fist to her chest, and a strange fog begins to swirl around her. Enemies within twelve feet of Dagon will see her as something monstrous and dreadful, and experience a sense of oncoming doom in her presence. The sense of dread around her is oppressive, and can make it hard to breathe or focus on anything but that feeling. These effects last for 35 seconds, and Dagon can use this spell twice per battle.

Atheneite watched as the strange senshi was enshrouded in an eldritch fog. She felt her emotions knot up inside of her at the sight. She felt fear at the sight of the woman. A great and unerring sense of dread washed over the Captain. Her breathing became a bit labored as her heart raced. Yet a wicked grin spread across her face.
She wore the look a feral animal that had been cornered. "Dread you say, oh yes, yes I think I like you! I want to stab you, I want to see the blood pour out from you, I wonder if will be red?" She had a crazed look in her eyes as she grappled with the fear this woman instilled in her. She was unaccustomed to such a feeling. She was of course smart enough to known when she was facing a stronger opponent or in a dangerous situation to be cautious but this was something else more primal more raw. She loved the sensation.
"So if you want this, come get it!" She challenged as she slipped the starseed into her pocket summoning her spear.

Ah. Well then. Apparently this one wouldn't be intimidated into backing down.
Dagon smiled. She had not had a simple, uncomplicated fight in so very long. Before her was a Negaverse officer that gloried in her violence. That wanted to be a monster.
Well. Dagon would show her a real monster.
She launched herself forward, eyes ever on that spear. It had a lot of reach, but that meant that tangling close up might be a little more complex for its wielder. It was all about knowing exactly how to follow the steps, how to dance with a new enemy, with skills that Dagon had honed over many, many centuries.
And, really, all she had to do to win was steal back that starseed, and not lose hers in the process.
Easy.

Atheneite jabbed her spear foreword aiming the strange senshi who ducked and dodged her strike. She was strangely good as if her every movement had been perfect over the course countless years but that wasn't possible, the woman didn't look like she was much older than the captain. Atheneite bared her proverbial fangs, perhaps this woman was a fighting genius that just made Atheneite want to fight her even more.
Instead of precise strikes Atheneite switched to performing wild and fast slices. If she couldn't beat her with skill she would rely on her strength and speed. "So Dread, what are you? You're clearly not a human nor are you part of the Vanguard. why do I feel such fear when I look at you?!" She laugh maniacally as sweat dripped down her face and her heart beat raced.
She swung her spear in wide arcs trying to catch the Senshi and keep her from getting too close. She wanted to take this woman apart to see what she was, did she bleed like a human was her starseed like a human's? There was so much she wanted to know.

It was almost fun, ducking and dodging and twisting around the spear as Dagon tried to ascertain the best angle of attack. Certainly, she felt thoroughly confident in her own abilities. There were few on Earth who could match her for training, and she'd had time and fighting to reawaken old reflexes and get old muscles stretched.
"Who I am is none of your concern," Dagon said, coldly. She had given her message, when she first arrived, and she was rarely stingy with her name, but she did not feel charitable now. She felt angry. She felt violent.
Her hand snapped out, and she grabbed at the haft of the spear, moving to yank it and throw her enemy off balance.

"That just makes me want to know more!" She said through gritted teeth as she swung her swear. She would have to check the database to see if there was any information on this senshi when she got back.
The senshi grabbed her spear and tried to yank it from Atheneite's grasp. She knew the senshi had the leverage on the spear and trying to hold onto would be fruitless battle and only put her in a bad position. She she left go allowing the senshi to pull the weapon away from her as she used the momentum she had to drive a punch forward towards her opponent.
If the senshi wanted to ditch weapons Atheneite would b e more than happy show her how proficient she was at hand to hand combat. She threw punches and kicks at her opponent keeping her guard up for retaliatory strikes.

Dagon was silent, focused. Her attention was on blocking, but it was also on her opponent's pocket. Clearly the other woman was perfectly fine fighting up close, and that was good with her, because what she wanted was--
An opportunity.
Dagon was no thief, not really, but she could still shove her hand in a pocket and pluck something out of it.
(Had learned a thief skill or two from a young man who helped her steal from their enemies, back home. He had died with a sword throguh his gut and a laugh on his lips, because he'd destroyed an entire camp of invaders when he lost his life.)
She felt the little gem between her fingers, plucked it out, and dove fort he body, scooping it up and turning to run.
"Aura of Dread!" She called, and she hoped the fog and the fear covered her retreat well enough.

"Hey!" Atheneite shouted indignantly as the strange senshi snatched the starseed from her pocket and took off also snapping up her victim. "You coward get back here!" She screamed as she moved to chase after her but the woman called on her magic again.
The dense fog chilled Atheneite's bones, she was paralyzed as that same unexplainable fear washed over her. Her heart quickened and she felt like her limbs were made of lead. She wanted to run them down but she could only watch as they disappeared into the fog to petrified to move. When the magic wore off Atheneite cursed the situation raging as kicked a trash can clear across the alleyway in a petulant fit at having been denied both a fight and her murder. She vowed if she met the weird senshi again she would make her pay dearly for this.
