Violin -- Julian had aspirations to be a professional violinist after devoting himself to music. An injury has made it difficult for him to consider this a valid career path, but he still practices and is doing his best to improve his playing. He prefers to play in distant corners of the park or places away from others to avoid any attention, good or bad.
Exploring -- Though Julian is very careful to not go places he’s not allowed and is always mindful to be where he’s supposed to be when he’s supposed to be, he has a wanderlust that can’t quite be sated. Maybe he just likes to dream that if he was in the right place at the right time he could have a different life. He likes to go places where no one knows him, so he never really stays in the same place for long and only has a few places that he habits frequently. He likes the forests and gardens in the city.
Virtues:
Humble -- Julian has no desire to create waves or disrupt anything; he is happiest when he is just in the background. He tries to be happy with what he has and tries to make the best of a situation. He is respectful and modest, and strives to be polite and courteous. He is generally unobtrusive and likes to help others.
Loyal -- Though Julian can be friendly with everyone, it takes a while for him to consider someone a friend. He has not always been the best with choosing friends and some past experiences have left him a little less trusting, so while he will always be kind to others it does not guarantee his loyalty. However, once Julian feels comfortable with someone, he will stand by them through anything and do whatever he can to help them. He has strong morals that he sticks to and would never betray a friend or try to hurt someone important to him.
Gentle -- Julian chooses his words carefully and is cautious and sensitive to others. He dislikes trouble and typically walks on eggshells in most instances. He is mostly incapable of cruelty in any form and puts forth a great effort to avoid hurting others in any way. He tends to be quiet but feels deeply; he is kind and forgiving and generally goes along with what others are doing to avoid disruption or conflict.
Flaws:
Reserved -- Julian dislikes creating waves so he doesn't often open up. He is afraid of criticism or saying something to make others dislike him. He is shy so it can be very difficult to get him to share anything honestly. His discretion and affinity with privacy can make him seem untrustful or secretive, or like he isn't invested in a person or their friendship.
Insecure -- It is difficult for Julian to share much of himself because he often nitpicks his own flaws. He is over critical of himself and how others will perceive him, and his ability to micro analyze situations can leave him stressed out or nervous. Sometimes it can be difficult to deal with him when he has trouble accepting compliments or praise; he has a hard time accepting them and often questions if the kindness is sincere or manipulative.
Docile -- Julian tends to keep to himself as often as possible; he keeps most of his thoughts and opinions to himself to avoid disagreements, but this can lead to him seeming indecisive or weak-willed. In truth, he is timid and non confrontational and he rarely stands up for himself. He tends to clam up in stressful situations and isn't very good with asserting himself.

Hazy shapes begin to manifest in the mist and quickly takes the form of several ethereal unicorns that begin to trot in a circle near the outskirts of the mist. It can be difficult to make out their forms, but the mist swirls around them and the faster Dering plays, the quicker they move. The unicorns do not attack or stray from their path; they protectively encircle Dering and any allies within his radius. These unicorns can block physical attacks his level or lower by taking the blow instead, but higher level attacks will turn the unicorn into mist. Magical attacks will pass through them, but the mist makes it difficult to pinpoint where anyone is inside. Anyone Dering trusts can pass through the circle of unicorns, but everyone else will be blocked by the rushing unicorns. Any contact with them will push someone back unless otherwise plotted; players can choose to take blunt force damage if they like. His magic will move with him, and he can channel his magic for up to 45 seconds.
