Back Alley Potions
Solo or RP Format Counts as 5 RP growth Points Solo word minimum is 750, RP post minimum is 7
Magical potions are a bit of a risk in Tendaji, believe it or not. It might be because most are used to working with natural items, or that many potions don't always have their intended effects. Some of the more dubious ones have been rumored to cause scales to grow, or blindness. So if you pass by someone in a back alley saying they have a potion to help you grow two feet taller, it's often better to look the other way.
Or is it?
What would you find if you looked over at what they had to sell? Is it really all that strange? Or maybe you'll find a fun hidden gem worth taking home.
[ What might you find someone selling if you approached a back-alley potion shop? Note: Potions that change appearance with growths are event-limited and may not be purchased/used from this prompt ]

Skadi had returned from her seeing her father and she was still irritated, though not at her father, mostly the extended family she had. they seemed to be planning something, and trying to keep her father from spending time with her, but then again that was the usual they hated her existence. Skadi refused to let that break her She was leaning against one of the city lamps waiting for her friend, they had a bit of an interesting history but the shortest explanation was they were childhood friends. He was probably flirting with someone, he was quite easy on the eyes. Not that she had any room to talk, when any of the guys came to talk to her she flirted with them too. Skadi was annoyed he was late, not that he was doing anything extra curricular. "Have a good time?" she said seeing a familiar figure approach.

Alfhun 1 Side-tracked. That's what had happened. Alfhun had been walking down the street-or rather, strutting as was more accurate to how he walked-his mind clear on his destination. Meet with Skadi. Have a bit of innocent fun you could tell your momma about. Than part ways and find something less innocent to hide from the same momma. Or he would if he had a mother to hide anything from. Just a father who probably didn't give a Duruf's a** about anything he got up to. So long as it was discreet and didn't soil the family name or whatever. Personally, he hoped everything he did soiled the family name. They could go bankrupt for all he cared. The sooner it happened the better the world would be. He'd just pack up and go live out in the wilds, just like he was already half doing. Free of obligations. Free of responsibilities. Free of nagging fathers. Course, there were lots of other ways to distract the mind. Things one couldn't find as easily out in the forest. Pretty things that liked to lean out of windows and wave at him. Just a little distraction of kisses in the alley wouldn't hurt no one. Skadi would understand. As if she'd have done any better. The hybrid could see her now, leaning against a city lamp. His face took on a smirk as he approached and he leaned his arm against it, towering over her and arching one eyebrow. "Hey there, cutie. I always have fun. More now that I'm here with you."

Skadi did indeed understand, and gave him a knowing smile as she leaned over. "I bet you say that to every pretty little thing you meet." she replied tactfully slipping away. Skadi was in much the same situation, her ice family had torn her father away from them, and her mother seemed to focus on her career while providing for Skadi. She had a hard time trying to forget the days when things were much simpler, she'd turned to her own odd experiments and something less than well decent. Skadi certainly started finding out she was quite able to catch the eye of any pretty thing she might pass for a casual distraction. The hyvrid knew of a shortcut near here, an alley nearby, "Shall we have our own fun than?" she asked as she started heading that direction.

Aelfhun 2 "Mm....Hey." Aelfhun was about to say something, to agree with what she'd said when Skadi started moving away from him. Oh. So she wanted to play at being a little coy, huh? That was fine. That was fun, too. The chase was just as much fun as the end result. He straightened himself up to follow, until he caught the eye of another pretty lady across the street. He raised a hand to brush back his hair, giving her a little smile that promised he'd find her later before following behind on the other hybrid's heels. One distraction was fine. But allowing himself to get distracted twice wouldn't do. "Pretty ladies should be made aware they are beautiful," he finally got to reply, easily catching up to the shorter woman in a few long strides. "It is only polite. Speaking of, where exactly are you taking me? Not somewhere too dark and mysterious I hope. I would not like to make my father sad by suddenly disappearing."

Glancing behind her, Skadi followed Aelfhun's gaze giving him a grin, "some pretty little thing for latter hmm?" not that she minded , just as fun teasing him back and maybe she might take a turn latter. Continuing forward Skadi slowed, allowing Aelfhun to catch up not that he had a hard time doing so. His comment made her laugh a little, not that she disapproved, both she and Aelfhun were quite gorgeous by earthling standards. "Secret." she said playing coy, he liked it. she gave the other hybrid a little wink bringing her finger up to her lips before folding her arms back behind her and striding forward.. It wasn't like his father actually wanted him for anything more than taking over his family business, much like her own family. To the rest of fathers family Skadi was nothing more than a tool for a political marriage if they had their way. At least Skadi's father created a barrier to keep them from having their way. "Since when have you disliked dark and mysterious places." she teased as they passed a strange man with wares laid out on a cloth among a few others selling their wares. The man beckoned the two hybrids closer.

Aelfhun 3 Perhaps, the hybrid man thought to himself. Provided he could find the lady again, later. Not that he minded that. Time spent with a pretty little thing was well worth a little hide and seek. He quite enjoyed the ones who played a little hard to get, as well. They were often the ones who lured him into dark places for a little bit of kissing. Oh, if his could hear his thoughts now, how appalled he would be. Which only delighted Aelfhun ever the more. Even had he not been the hot piece he had grown to be, he would still try to cause as much trouble for the old man as he could with his behavior. Maybe one day Ymir would finally give up and disown him, leaving him free to find his own place in life. Or maybe Aelfhun would be the one to get fed up and run away forever. Whichever came first, it would prove to be interesting he was sure. "So long as I can be in the presence of beauty, every place is brightly lite," he easily flirted back, playfully reaching a hand out to her. Only to be stopped by the motion out of the corner of his eye. Retracting his arm, Aelfhun looked to the side to see a strange man on the ground. Among some others. Sneaky sellers trying to hide their wares. He smirked. This was fine, too. "An audience? I never minded being stared at."

Skadi gave him a sultry smile as he reached out, then followed his gaze to the men with their ware's laid out in the corners. Like Aelfhun she didn't much mind watchers, it might be the most interesting thing they saw today. "It's quite the compliment." Skadi added. The seller smiled knowingly, he'd seen many come slide through the alley in much the same way. "Perhaps I could offer you something to make your time together more..." he paused with a knowing smile "enjoyable." he had all sorts of things "Mhmm, I don't think he needs help with that." she said sliding closer to the other hybrid "Do you?" she teased a bit at the end bringing her hand to her mouth pretending fakely to be shocked. Skadi 4

Aelfhun 4 Aelfhun kept any further comments to himself, merely giving a knowing smile back. Soft, but full of promise that he spoke nothing but the truth. Usually. He wouldn't admit to anyone, but he did occasionally lie to get his way, telling some girl she was the prettiest thing he'd seen all day just to butter her up. Not that a woman shouldn't be appreciated. In Skadi's case, it wasn't too far from the truth. The blue of her skin was like the smoothest ice over a pond. To the seller, he gave an arrogant smirk, all confidence in his abilities to woo. No, he didn't really need anything to help with that. He still had a long time yet before he was fully out of the game, when old age would slowly creep in. "I would say I'm hardly of an age to have trouble, old man," the hybrid agreed, intentionally raising his hands to his hips to flex the muscles on his arms. "But interesting you should think so. I don't know what part of me is giving you the opposite impression."

The seller chuckled, seemingly not overly offended, as though he knew something the younger earthling did not or perhaps he might have seen his younger self. "Oh I meant no disrespect at your ability, boy." the seller lifted a potion up and gave a wry smile "Some of these are for the mind boy, not the body." he old man didn't expect the children to show any sort of interest he was still just smiling. -- Skadi did her best to contain a bit of laughter, hiding her mouth again to stifle the chuckles. as she listened to the exchange between Aelfhun and the seller. No he certainly didn't need any help. Always easy on the eyes and quite skilled, one of the best. Skadi highly doubted the potion would add anything more pleasant to their time together. She was quite good herself not that she'd brag openly about it. Her skills would always speak for themselves. Skadi - 5

Aelfhun 5 The hybrid grinned, showing a lot of teeth. "No offense felt," he answered, leaning his large body over the selection of different potions and knickknacks. Was this what Skadi wanted to show him? Didn't seem all that interesting. At least not as interesting as other things could be. Still, he couldn't help his curiosity as his golden gaze swept over them, taking in everything slowly. Was he trying to put on a bit of a show of interest? Maybe. Was he also a bit tempted to buy something? Of course. He could only imagine how angry his father would be to find something like this in the house. Something of such lower value and unknown ingredients. He could blame it on one of the staff. "What would I have need of a sharper mind for?" Aelfhun asked, his tone of voice serious. He was young and handsome. He had the world at his fingertips, so long as he had at least two of those two things. And he had all intentions on holding onto at least one of those for as long as he could. When would he do when he had neither? Well, that was a problem for the future, of course.

The old man laughed at the young boys lack of understanding, doubting he could fully explain it he instead lamed "Aah youth" he before continuing "I suppose its something only understood when finely aged." he said shooing them off, he turned his attention to someone else who began coming down the alley. -- unable to contain herself anymore skadi burst out laughing "Well that was mildly entertaining," Skadi stiffled her laughter as she wiped a tear from her eye as they were shooed away. Aelfhun was deemed not mature enough, not that it would ever bruise his ego. They were almost to a little tavern not well known, which was the place she'd been leading him to before they were interrupted by the prying eyes not that she minded but beds were always more comfortable. 6

Aelfhun 6 "At least I'm not hiding away in an alley," Aelfhun shot back, feeling quite proud of his dig. With a smile and an arrogant nod of his head, he allowed himself to be shooed off, following along behind Skadi. Hoping that wasn't what she had been wanting to show him after all. That had been no fun. Maybe a little insulting, but he wasn't quite sure. "I assume that's not what you wanted to meet about?"

Skadi gave a little laugh at Aelfhun's last dig as the two finally left the alley, Skadi let out a sigh. "Of course not, what do you take me for." she said crossing her arms she'd just returned after all from zena."My father's family is planning something." she said lookin down the street her face twisting into a look of distain. "I don't know what yet," But Skadi knew it was something she wouldn't like, despite her rather frigid attitude the way her family did look at her was unsettling, all of them but her father, and rather instinctively she rubbed her arms a bit showing a little of her discomfort. Aelfhun was one of the few people she did ever show this side of her self, they were in fact as much as it didn't seem like it friends. Certainly he had news himself she raised her brow. "I'm sure I'm not the only one." she said. Skadi 7

Aelfhun 7 The grin the young man shot Skadi's way was full of arrogance, her laugh boosting his ego. Not that that was too difficult to do. Aelfhun could do that easily enough on his own, as he was still mentally patting himself on the back for that comeback. He entered back into the light of the street, shielding his eyes a little from the glare of the sun after the darkness of the alley. He gave a careless shrug at her comment. "Gods only know with you," he teased back, flicking his eyes over the crowd before settling back on her, darting away before she could do anything to him for the response. "Are they, now? That's never good. Unfortunately, you know I never like to plan things. But I'm sure I can think of something to take your mind off it."
