Amity had been so busy lately with not only her schoolwork but also her violin competitions. When she first entered the Crystal Academy, she knew the work would be daunting, but she forgot how it could also pile up. After all, her mother took her out of school very frequently for competitions. Which only meant more makeup work for her.
Thinking about everything she had left to complete was a little stressful. So, she decided that on this beautiful bright sunny day, she would adventure off to the park. As she arrived, she smiled at the fresh air and gorgeous scenery. She immediately sat on the first grass hill she could find when she arrived at the park. She set her violin case gently down beside her and she took a deep breath of the fresh air around her.
She needed to focus and needed to forget about all that schoolwork and stress. That was all another day’s problem. Not today. Today she had a day off school, which for her meant a day to practice for her competition tomorrow. She needed to find some inspiration to make her performance unique. With that thought in her head, she was relaxed inside and out. That meant it was time to pick up what she loved most - her violin.
As she opened her violin case, she placed the violin and bow in her hands. Without even thinking her hands started moving the bow on their own. They began to play Crystallize by Lindsey Stirling, a song that fit the beautiful day perfectly. But it also meant now she had no awareness of anything or anyone around here. All her mind was focused on was the music she was playing.

Taking a long sip of her honeydew boba tea, Korina wondered what else she'd get herself in to this beautiful day. She'd been out to grab a drink and go for a walk in the park when she was drawn to a quiet, familiar tune. She'd loved Lindsey Stirling since hearing Shatter Me for the first time years ago.
The sound grew louder as Korina drew closer. She tucked a purple-curled lock behind her ear, hummed lightly along, and smiled. There was a small gathering of people forming in the direction of the music and she walked a bit more quickly toward the source of the music.
She continued around the group so she could see what was going on and saw a girl with a long blonde and light blue braid, playing her violin with such passion. She was memorized by the violinist and after listening for a few moments, remembered she had a ten dollar bill on her that she then tossed as quickly and hopefully quietly into the violin case as she could. Korina returned to her spot in the crowd, smiled and watched with stars in her eyes.

Amity was finishing up Shatter Me and just as she played that last note. She placed her violin down for a breath and her bow rested on her knee. She looked up for a moment and realized she had been surrounded by people! 'Wow. When did everyone gather here,' She thought quietly to herself as she tried to smile her best smile for all the onlookers.
She was so happy her music could reach all these people, even if it was just a small gathering the joy they brought was massive. This joy was helping build her confidence for her upcoming performance bit by bit.
Since she truly felt like a Rockstar right now. That was when she suddenly remembered that a blonde haired girl had dropped a ten dollar bill in her case when she was finishing her music. She had to say something, after all that was such a sweet thing to do!
"Oh hey there! thank you so much for that! Is there anything you'd like to hear me play?" She hoped the blonde haired girl knew she was speaking to her, since she really wanted to offer her music for such a sweet gesture.

When the violinist finished her performance, Korina clapped loudly, but couldn't gather the bravery to yell or whistle, though it was deserved.
Korina was stoked when she was noticed by the violinist and smiled, "Oh, no problem at all; you're amazing!"
She thought momentarily before responding excitedly, "Roundtable Rival or Elements, maybe?"

She never could get enough of the applause. It just made her feel at home. Her grin grew larger as listened to the applause and waited for the girl to answer.
"Thank you so much for the compliment. You are too kind," she said as she bowed her head. Honestly, she was too comfortable to get up and bow properly.
Plus she was eager to take on the challenge and didn't want to waste time on formalities, so instead of getting up and bowing properly, she simply bowed her head as a sign of appreciation. "Hmm I haven't played those in a while, but I'm always up for a challenge!" With that, she put her violin back in its rightful spot on her face and began to play again. You could hear the beginning of Roundtable Rival.
Her notes were confident and bold, and you could tell she was determined to take her listeners on a musical journey. Her playing was steady and deliberate, giving the music a sense of urgency and energy. The violin was an extension of her; her emotions were evident in her playing. The passion and feeling she put into music was undeniable.
Slowly this request was helping her remember what she wanted to bring to the competition ahead. Through her music, she was able to feel the feelings with each stroke. Now, her only hope was that this song would reach the audience and the person who requested it.
