With a bit of her free time, Calixa had decided that she wanted to snack on a few sweet bits of fruit as she skipped along the trail by the edge of the island. She knew better than to ruin her appetite but surely a few bites wouldn't be too bad! With a large smile she took a few bites and hummed as she went. When she was done with what was in her mouth her humming turned into singing. "I can pick myself flowers~" Another bite and she was back to humming the tune. It seemed the Vandrea was in a good mood, though in truth it was very rare to see her in a bad one. Calixa was usually cheerful and almost always curious, so when she took notice of a basket by the side of the trail a ways up she tilted her head far enough that her long dreads hung off her shoulder and swayed with no perch to keep still on.

On the edge of the island, along the rocky beach Ahmanet was practicing her Khopesh forms to the sound of the waves. Slicing the air she was trying to refine the form that her mother had shown her, to make it as both elegant and deadly. Ahmanet could hear her mother's criticism in her ear as she did her best to correct the mistakes she'd made during training earlier. The harsh judgements didn't seem to bother her but to spur her to grow stronger. She was destined for great things and she had to live up to the expectations of all those around her and be the best, no matter what. From the corner of her eye Ahmanet could see the great tree rising into the sky. Ahmanet blessed by the moon and their sacred mother Azhera would be worthy. For now though, it was enough. Ahmanet took a deep breath and hung her weapons at her side, as she started down a small path on the way home. She noticed one of her sisters staring at a basket. "What draws such fierce attention to a basket Sister?" she asked politely putting her social mask on.

Ice_Dragon_Demon Sorry for being slow. Not been feeling the best lately. Calixa 2 She was still eyeing the basket when she heard the voice of another nearby. Usually she'd have jumped four feet out of her skin at such but this time she turned her head toward their voice with a confused look on her face before the words registered. "Oh. Not sure.. Is it yours? Did you leave it there?" Calixa thought that perhaps someone had left it on the trail while they went to collect something else. But so far this sister was the only one she saw around. Calixa supposed it could be that someone had dropped it by accident and didn't realize it was gone. Wouldn't that be a shame. "Wonder what's in it." Came her slightly more soft words after a pause. She turned her gaze back to the basket with a now appraising look as her mind worked on a few guesses.

Heras Box (you're fine, I got super busy not long after) Ahmanet regarded her sister once again, she was quite curious taking in everything about the basket it seemed even contemplating what would be inside. "no, It is not mine sister." she replied, though she was quite polite for asking. Ahmanet did begin to wonder who it might belong to. "Shall we open it?" Ahmanet suggested it might hold a clue to which of their sisters it belonged. Ahmanet moved toward the basket bending down a little but then pausing a moment after placing her hand on the basket lid "Or would you prefer to take more time moment to theorize?" she said looking back at the curious sister as she pulled her hand back a bit from the basket's lid.

Knowing the basket didn't belong to this sister made her look at them for a second. Calixa gave a thoughtful hum then went back to looking at the basket. Strange. She took another step toward the container, curious as always. "What guess do you have as to what's inside?" She was genuinely curious to know what the other thought. "I'm thinking it might be someone's lost picnic." And wouldn't that be a tragedy. To lose one's meal that they were looking forward to. The disappointment would be enough to make Calixa tear up.

"Perhaps it's empty?" Ahmanet suggested it was the less thrilling option, but with this sister's curious mind another answer was being looked for "maybe there's something alive inside?" Ahmanet offered up looking at the sister. A lost picnic might have been interesting too. Ahmanet wouldn't feel to badly about taking a bit from that if it ended up being the case to snack on heading home. "Shall we open it now?" she asked the other sister

Empty? Well that would be boring. Though still a possibility. Something alive? Calixa worried that if that were the case then the poor thing was frightened. If it was someone's small familiar then they could be lost. With the question of whether to open it now or not she nodded her head. "We better. If there is something in there then the owner might miss it." She looked at the sister beside her and offered a smile before turning her attention back to the basket. Another second and she moved the few steps needed to reach the woven container. Calixa squatted down beside it and tilted her head before reaching her hand out to open it. She seemed to move with determination at first but right before she opened the lid she hesitated. She couldn't help it really. The suspense added to the find after all. Though it didn't last long. In the next second she pulled the lid back to reveal what was in it. Flowers and shells. Calixa blinked a few times before looking back at the other sister. "We were both wrong." A little giggle was let out after her words.

Ahmanet gave the other vandrea sister a nod. If there was a quiet creature in there, it would be missed surely, she strangely couldn't imagine one of their sisters abandoning such a creature. As the basket was opened it revealed nothing of the sort, neither food, nor creature, nor was it simply empty. "So it would seem." she said admiring the shells for a moment, they'd been picked up and placed into the basket with great care. seeing as they weren't perishable, it led Ahmanet to believe the sister that left them there would most likely return at some point to retrieve them. Ahmanet had come to realize she'd yet to introduce herself to this sister with the mystery of the basket now solved there was no longer a distraction. "I am Ahmanet, what might you name be sister?" Since it wasn't something that would need returned right away she stood up and gave her attention to the girl with her. At the introduction she smiled. "Nice to meet you Ahmanet, I'm Calixa." She held her hand out for the other to take as she offered a large smile. "Are you enjoying the shore today or just out for a walk?" She couldn't help her curiosity now being placed on her fellow sister since the basket no longer held a mystery.

"Pleasure is all mine Calixa," Ahmanet said the question that came next from the curious sister, was not entirely unexpected. "I came to train, the day is quite perfect for it," Ahmanet answered. She was though on her way back home after the morning training. "And you, a walk perhaps?" she asked Calixa who had been the one to get distracted earlier. (5)

"Oh yes, I love going for walks on this trail. It goes by the beach." She pointed at the water not too far from them. Calixa always felt energized after a trip to the beach. There was just something about the waves and breeze that made her feel good. "Would you like to join me or am I interrupting your training?" Calixa hoped that the other could join her. Then again joining her for training wouldn't be a bad idea either. The girl needed to get better at a few things.

As she expected, the beach was always a nice place to train as it would. Had Calixa been around a bit earlier Ahmanet would have refused, however she's just finished morning training, though when she got home she'd have her mothers training. "I just finished" Ahmanet told the other Vandrea "I was on my way home, I could accompany you for a moment if you didn't mind the company. " though Ahmanet wouldn't refuse a spar if she wanted to practice partner. 6

She was thrilled to hear that she wasn't interrupting anything. Calixa held her hand out for the other vandrea to take with a large grin on her face. "Perfect!" She bounced on her heels as she waited for the other to take her hand. She couldn't help the excitement at making a new friend. "Do you train here all the time? In case I want to find you again.. maybe join you.." While she wasn't overly fond of training she didn't mind it so much. And it was made fun by having a partner.

Ahmanet didn't share the excited vandrea's energy but she gave her sister a smile regardless "I do" she began "often in the morning, the sound of the waves and the air is quite pleasant." it was always quite serene course then she went home for breakfast and then trained some more with her mothers. She didn't have much time herself, though when she did she often spent it on her appearance. It was nice though to chat among her sisters, something she certainly should have spent more time doing. Calixa was looking excitedly expectant as she held out her rand Ahmanet after bit did eventually reach out to hold the offered hand. Ice_Dragon_Demon She's a ball of energy. lol Once she had the other's hand she shook it. "Great! Training with a friend is always fun" Calixa held onto the hand for an extra few shakes before letting go. "Wanna walk back together since you're done?" While they may be going the same direction she knew it was better to ask than to assume. Not everyone wanted company. "Do you do anything after training?"
