Obviously she could call her friends and show them…but how much more fun would it be to just…send them each letters? It would be more personal that way too, and more fun.
Using the last of her money, Brooklyn went down to the corner store and picked up some cute paper, green with little frogs around the edges.
She had never had stationery before…never had a reason to. There was nobody to write to, no way to purchase stamps or no way to get other letters back. But…maybe the boys had rings of their own? Maybe she could actually start to exchange mail…that…just sounded so neat.
Along with the stationery, Brooklyn had purchased a pack of colorful pens, excited to be able to write her letters with whatever colors she was feeling at the moment…maybe with all of the colors together if she really felt like it!
…That might get old though…but. Still. It would be neat.
The first letter she wrote was to Soleiyu, she had to apologize to the Mauvian, she had said she would take him up to her Wonder but…had ended up going without her so…
Quote:
Dear Soleiyu,
Hi! I’m pretty sure that you can read, like…pretty much really sure, you can do everything else so if you can’t read, I’ll honestly be a little disappointed. Obviously this letter means that I went up to my Wonder, I’m sorry that I didn’t take you with me, I should have, but…it was all kind of a big accident…there was this Negaverse Senshi and…her magic was kind of really awful and I got into a panic and the words kind of popped into my head and I said them and…poof. There I was, in a castle.
It turns out that Dagon? The one I was telling you about? Well, the last Stirling was her sister! I saw this portrait of Dagon and Dagon’s family and got to meet her? The sister…um. Her name is Dysmina and she showed me where my ring was and how to send a letter and now I’m just going to send them to all of my friends so…
I really hope you can read! And I hope I can see you soon!
Love you!
Stirling

She folded the letter neatly and wrote Soleiyu’s name on the outside of it and then grabbed a fresh sheet of paper. This one was going to be for Elliot, and she clicked the pen against her teeth for a moment before she started scribbling.
Quote:
Dear Elliot,
Hiya! It’s Stirling! I found my Signet Ring! Isn’t that epic? Is that something that should be capitalized? It feels like it should be in caps. Like, not full caps but…you know what I mean. It feels like a proper noun, you know? Do you have any kind of a Signet Ring? I think that they’re just neat to begin with, and I can send letters! I hope I get some in return someday, that would be nice! I’ve never really gotten a letter before so…I’m hopeful!

That was vague enough that…he wouldn’t have to worry about being compromised, right? Truth to tell, she didn’t know how to spell either of their powered names…so the letters were just going to be to Elliot and Atticus…out of necessity…
s**t.
Okay well, she was doing her best. Only thing to do would be to keep writing it!
Quote:
Anyway! I hope you’re well! I just wanted to let you know that I’m well too! Have a wonderful day and enjoy some cider!
Love you!

Rereading the letter, Brooklyn decided that…it was acceptable, and she folded it, writing Elliot’s name on the outside and setting it aside.
Now for Atticus.
Taking out another piece of her paper, she began.
Quote:
Dear Atticus,
Hi there! I hope that you’re well! Aren’t these frogs cute? I love their dumb little smiles. I have earrings like them and they always make me happy, honestly I think frogs might be one of my favorite animals and…this is literally just becoming clear to me right now, so…shows how smart I am!
I hope that you’re staying warm, and appreciate this letter! I…had fun writing it, I actually got a lot of different colors, and I think I’m going to try to draw you a picture, because I think of everyone I’ve written to, you’ll appreciate the picture the most, and I just…want to! So there! <3

She tried to draw a frog, though while working on it she realized that again she was smearing the ink. These pens were fancy but they smudged if you didn’t wait for them to dry…and when you were drawing a frog, and your hand smeared across the paper…well. Then you simply had a smudged frog.
…He was cute though, with a smiling sun and a rainbow behind him, and to finish, she shook her head and wrote a last little bit.
Quote:
I need to learn how to use these pens, the ink is wet…obviously…and I am not patient enough to let it dry. Next time the frog will be much cuter, I promise! Take care!
Love you!

With the last of the letters written, she folded it and wrote Atticus’ name on the outside and then headed out, holding the letters and her stationery and pens in a small, thin backpack.
Brooklyn hurried off to the park and glanced around before powering up. She had placed the backpack on a bench before doing so, and one by one, she sealed and sent the letters, and then slipped the backpack with her writing items into her subspace pocket.
She wore a bright smile as she watched each of the letters disappear, and drew in a breath before deciding that it was a good night for a patrol, and without a thought she summoned her weapon to her hand…though.
…Though it wasn’t her hair stick.
It was something that looked like a dagger, though the blade was a unicorn horn…and…
Oh.
Okay…well. This was new.
But there was an explanation for it, she was sure.

Kyuseisha no Hikari
She sent letters ;w;
Guine
She sent letters! AND A FROG PICTURE
