 A lot had happened since the last year or so and his and Akea's relationship had blossomed into something true and precious. Surprisingly, while they were out travelling Akea received a letter from her dads saying they were expecting more kids so naturally, Akea wanted to rush home and Aki followed.
Now he was living with both Akea and her parents, he was hesitant at the choice at first but he had decided to move in and she had mentioned in passing that they had rebuilt their home because a flood had hit it. He was both close to the love of his life and his in-laws. Now Akiliano was outside sitting in Akea's garden tending to her plants and making sure they got enough care and sunshine.
As the days went thoughts of having kids with Akea had crossed his mind several times but he was trying to figure out a way to broach the topic with Akea. The time had come for them to truly decide if they wanted kids together or not and it was not a topic that was taken lightly. He let out a quiet sigh as he waited for Akea to come out to her garden.

Akea came skipping out to the garden some stuff for the compost pile in her arms. After dumping it and washing off a bit she beelined for the love of her life who was tending her plants like the sweetest old broody hen. "Well hello handsome one, sorry for the wait, Daddy got talking about plants again." Kaiko loved his gardening too. "Breakfast was good today huh?" She had liked it, fresh sausage from the market and omlettes, yum. She bent down to help him with the plants. "You do such a good job."

Aki was a little distracted to notice that Akea had come up beside him, he looked at her "That's okay, I was just making sure your plants got enough care and sun, gotta pull my weight around here" he said chuckling a little bit before turning serious again.
He nodded his head "Yes, breakfast was quite delicious and I look forward to them every morning. Your dads make a yummy breakfast" he said to her. He looked at her plants thoughtfully "Well, we can't let them die and wither away after you put so much hard work into planting them now can we" he told her before planting a soft kiss on the top of her head.

This guy was simply perfection. He had taken over as her best friend from the moment she had met him. Then he had asked her out and she had said yes. Dates and dates later and here they were standing in her garden looking after her beautiful plants. Her parents covertly watching, serenely letting the young romance grow and begin to shine. They thought the pair were adorable. She knew it as she saw the looks on their faces. Her silly wonderful Dads. Encouraging her and supporting her crazy ideas. He was the best adventure partner she could ever ask for. She hugged him again. "It shouldn't take too long to whip this garden into shape, I just love spring." She inhaled the fresh scents of blooms as winter's grip loosened.

Aki smiled softly as she hugged him, he still wasn't sure how to bring up the topic of having kids. He took a breath and let it out before starting to ease into the conversation he shifted his gaze towards her from her plants "You know, how your family is expanding..." he said to her.
"I was wondering how you feel about me and you...expanding our family and having kids of our own?" he asked her.

"Well," she gasped, he had surprised her again. A good surprise but he definitely knew what he wanted from life and that was her. Then she laughed a little, "Are Dads giving you baby fever my love?" She took his hand and placed it over her heart. "I would be honored to have children with you Aki." He had given her the biggest compliment. Her heart felt like it was glowing.

Aki found bringing up the topic the most difficult part but he knew it was a conversation that needed to be had. He was at the stage where he knew what he wanted from life and he knew for sure that he wanted to be with Akea for the rest of his life he knew that when he first set eyes on her.
He flushed a little "they might be a little bit..." he admitted to her and was a little surprised by her answer, which just gave him the cue to let out a breath that he wasn't even aware he was holding "Oh, it would be the best journey for us ever! a little one or two that was born from our love" he told her happily. He might be a little too excited about the prospect.

She thought it was adorable that he was so excited. Most boys didn't want that until they were done roaming but Aki had never been like most boys. He had been true and authentic and himself from the start and that was what she wanted. That was someone worthy of having kids with, someone who was there for the right reasons with real love. It was perfection. She adored him with every fibre of her being. "Didn't you know that tendaji needs more people with your bright blue hair my love?" She adored his hair almost as much as she adored his face.

Aki beamed at the thought; he hadn't seen very many blue-haired Kahis so It was one of those things he was proud of. He scooped her up in a big hug and snuggled her a little. "I have been thinking about how to bring the topic up with you for the past few days and there wasn't a good time to until now," he said before lightly resting his chin on her head.
He mock gasped "that thought never occurred to me, I mean I personally have not seen very many " he said thinking about it thoughtfully. It was true if he was in a crowd Akea would spot him almost automatically. "I wonder if any of our kids would get my blue hair," he said thinking out loud.

She closed her eyes in contented bliss. She loved being this close to him. It was like they were becoming one being and sharing the same energy. It was cosmic to say the least. She was fiercely proud of her love. He was smart and kind and romantic and she adored that about him. That and he seemed to like to cuddle as much as she did. Cuddling was better than anything. Cuddling in the garden was fun because she could feel warm and special and see all the flowers she had worked to keep alive and thriving, Aki was a big help in her garden too, she loved seeing him interact with her plant babies. He was so gentle with his big hands it warmed her heart.

Aki held her close to his chest now that Akea's plant babies were tended to, now he was giving some TLC to the love of his life. He let out a content and blissful sigh as he held her in his arms. He adored her spunk, sass and passion for her plants and was 100% she would be like that with their future kids. There was so much more he adored about her that there were not enough words to describe how he felt toward her.
"mm..you are the most sweetest and loveable person ever, and I cannot wait to raise children with you," he said with a smile. He was pretty sure her dads would welcome grandkids as well.

If he didn't stop snuggling her he was giong to find out rather quickly that she was most excited about practicing. She leaned into him and let her love shine through on her face. She laid a gentle palm over his cheek. "I love you Aki, I think I always have." She liked it when they stood like this, him using her as a nice chin rest. It was adorable. She always felt so safe and a bit love drunk. "I could see us having quite a few kids one day." They certainly had enough love to sustain it.

He placed one of his hands on top of hers “I feel the same way about you. Even though we did start out as friends I always have loved you in a way that was romantic” he told her before giving her another snuggle. He leaned forward a bit so he was by her ear “how about we take this inside and practice” he whispered.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way” he told her.

She swallowed, taken up in it all. "That sounds lovely." She said a bit breathlessly, her mind roiling most actively indeed. Today was just getting better and better. She grinned a grin that could rival the sun. She wanted this just as much as he did. Seeing her Dad Ikaika go through pregnancy. Right now he was so big he had to wiggle through doorways. They were pretty sure it was twins with the size of his belly. Kaiko grinned at his handiwork at least once a day, he just stared at Ikaika and grinned.

Aki chuckled lightly before interlocking his fingers with hers and planting a tantalizing kiss on her ear and the back of her neck. “Shall we then?” He asked her before letting her go and starting to head inside. He was looking forward to practicing and it excited him in more than one way.
