Currently she stood on top of a mostly empty parking garage just listening to the city noise and wondering what she was going to do with the night, other than wander around. She knew she ought to avoid getting into a scrap, but she bet she could still get some energy.
Sometimes being a recluse was a good thing, especially in Villon’s case.
He heard about what went down just a couple of weeks ago from his cousin with the youmafying and the general and the blah blah blah. Honestly he was glad he decided to stay in and spend time with his family that night. It wasn't that he wished i'll-will on his cousin or anything like that but the moment they went to that damned thing he would have been trying to leave. His survival instinct was pretty high when it came to his person. As it stood, today was another energy gathering day so he was out and about. Personally he was hoping he ran into an unsuspecting senshi or knight. Playing with the newbies was fun for him, granted he can't just play with their starseeds anymore since he would actually have to take it, and while he has done that a couple of times with the unknown civilian or two, he figured trying it on some one powered like him would be a bit more difficult.
He caught a familiar signature and decided that he could be bothered to stop and say hello to the only youngling he could tolerate, leaping onto the rooftop to land beside her. “Isn’t it past your bedtime kid?”
Taaffe felt Villon before she saw him, but his aura was dark and familiar so she didn't bother trying to get out of range of him. She turned when he spoke and rolled her eyes, shivering slightly in the night air despite wearing a coat.
“Harharhar, Villon, very funny … I dont know any teen that has an actual bedtime … besides I go to the negaverse school, so if I really wanted to, maybe I could skip out of the first period for a nap or something. Not like I would though.”
“What are you up too … I was going to move on but I think I might just haunt the parking garage for the last few stragglers and get energy from them. I think the rest of the buildings around here, close in the next hour or so.”
He was partially serious.
Collin would probably have a bedtime well into his teens [unless Lily had something to say about it], There was a need to keep a sense of structure for his child since he didn't really have any with his parents. She asked what he was up to and he shrugged, “I was just out looking for starseeds and energy. I'm surprised Wither is not out and about.” it wasn't like Ryan didn't have an endless number of people that could babysit for him if Dmitry was occupied. “Did you hear about the youma general thing? Apparently it was a big deal.” Still glad he didn't go to that one.
She frowned, “did I hear??? I volunteered to help out … I had no idea what I was truly getting myself into. The youma general freakin sliced me open on the side! I can't even do anything for fear it will mess the stitches up.”
She looked less than pleased and wholly disinterested in the line of conversation, but continued, “where were you? I saw Wither I think at one point, but not you. Man that place was like a huge freaking puzzle out off us or something.”
She sighed heavily and winced, having jerked a bit too quickly. “I can't even skateboard … I read like 5 books in two days.”
Villon blinked twice…
Wait….
What?!
Why the HELL would they allow a flippin teen to attend something like that?! From what Ryan said, the entire thing was a s**t show?! “S’cuse me?” he frowned, “Was there no one with you?! Wither wasn't beside you?! Fafnir?” Granted, the negaverse was very much “I'll corrupt you and then you're on your own”, but damn if they let this happen, they would be no better than the stupid cats that awaken litterall babies to fight their battles.
Maybe he should’ve come?
But then that would mean having to explain things to his wife in a manner that wouldn’t make him look suspicious.
“What?!? Don’t over react! Of course Fafnir was with me … did you not hear the part where we got attacked by a youma general and the building was trying to like us off? Or it felt like it anyway. I’m not a little kid … I'm capable … fully fine until the whole thrown weapon situation.”
She frowned more deeply, “I'm pretty sure it wasn't supposed to be like that or whatever. I'm fine … clearly.”
“Villon don’t act like you have to put the kiddie gloves on with me … so uncouth.”
Well that took Villon back a bit.
He raised his eyebrow, “Kiddie gloves huh?” He chuckled and shook his head, “Oh I'm sorry, forgot that tiny doesnt mean breakable.” well…In certain cases it didn't, but thinking about his wife at the moment would be too inappropriate for the conversation at hand. “Alright, no kiddie gloves then.” He shrugged, while he liked Taff, it wasn't hard for him to just not care. Probably has something to do with the fact that he's got some screws loose, “So, that means if you get stabbed or something, I should just look away and do my own thing right?” His grin was a bit maniacal then, “To tilt my head while you're writhing in agony?” The grin widened, “I can do that. In fact, I'm sure I can join in if I wanted….Granted, not sure how much trouble I would get into.” Something was telling him to reign it in but once the crazy got to a certain point, it was a bit hard without his cousin, “You know the screams….They Are supposed to get to you after a bit. Never seemed to with me….But you know, No kiddie gloves right? Just means I'm not supposed to give a ********?” He tilted his head, a grin still plastered on his face.
It did seem like there was some sort of restraint in his eyes, like he was trying to pull back. This was an ally, not a foe. Although this was getting a bit harder for him to tell the difference nowadays.
Taaffe looked at Villon as if he had suddenly grown a second her, but after a moment she groaned and smacked him on the arm. “Uggghhh I get it already … stop it you are so extra.” She whined in true teenage fashion and rolled her eyes at him. “At least put some teenage gloves on … I mean I am 16. I’ll be a junior next year.”
She realized that really didn't sound good and sighed groaning again before straightening up and glaring at Villon. “You better not leave me to writhe in agony … I didn't let that big senshi beat your a**.”
She pursed her lips and turned, “come on, we should be patrolling anyway. Energy isn't going to collect itself and its cold.”
Villon realized that this was why he liked Taaffe. The smack to his arm would have caused him to literally punch the offender in the face till it was a bloody pulp, but with the teen he felt his sanity slipping back in control, “Not extra, just crazy~” He smirked and stretched, “Oooooh so grown you are! A whole a** junior!” he was laughing then, shaking his head, “I wont leave you withering but you gotta find ways to be careful at least. Maybe we should both be training under Wither…” That didn't sound like a bad idea at all. A pleased growl left his throat, “Yes, energy collecting. Lets go~” He supposed this was a good talk, Taaffe would be fine, she was a big girl after all.
Taaffe shook her head and rolled her eyes, but she was happy to go ahead patrol with Villon. “What, stop saying stuff like that … Wither is nice I suppose, but Fafnir is who I report to and that's that. If you want me to spare with him if you want or whatever, I can do that.”
Taaffe cracked her knuckles and started off with a little pep in her step, she didn't have to worry so much potentially running into trouble especially not with Villain's interesting power.
