Demeter.... still was not following advice to go out with someone she trusted. She wasn't very good at that, okay! It's not like she had any gosh-darned friends! Hydor was sweet and all, but she didn't want to bother him too much—he seemed like someone who preferred to be left alone, as much as she wanted to be like, mega friends with him. Bothering him... seemed like the fast track to being completely alone. With only a Mirror Senshi for company. And she didn't even know how to contact him! Also like, okay, sure, she'd technically met Kerberos— pretty much while actively dying!—so that didn't feel like it counted or was real. And she didn't remember where to find the guy anyway, so. Yeah. Alone. It was fine, she was fine, she only almost died, she'd totally be okay, right? Right. So here she was, out, alone, jumping on buildings and squealing over the novelty of it.

Asuka found that she did her best thinking while on her feet, and she had just...so very much to think about.
One: aliens existed, apparently. Because the poor girl she'd panicked and attacked, with pastel blue skin and pointy elf ears, was definitely not human. So that was...weird, and kinda cool. She wondered how many there were, and if it was only the one kind, or if there were more out there--not that any of those questions were getting answered just by thinking about them, but she did sort of have to emotionally process the whole "not alone in the universe" thing.
Two, yeah, she had a big old crush on her friend. That was really not great, because Faeth was dating someone else, and Reiko really needed to figure out if Faeth and her girlfriend were polyamorous or what else might be going on there because......yeah, that big old crush was not going anywhere.
She was lost enough in thought that she didn't notice the nearby aura, and almost so lost in thought that she didn't notice the nearby person.
Fortunately, she managed to yelp and flail to a halt before actually crashing into the other Senshi, and she skipped backwards.
"Uh! Hi! Sorry!"

Demeter squeaked, backing up the second she realized she'd almost run into another Senshi—a Chaos Senshi, at that—but, oddly, she relaxed a bit when she realized she was talking to a Mirror one and not a Corrupt one. Maybe there was technically not much difference between one brand of Chaos and the other, but considering one of the Mirror guys had saved her life, she was inclined to believe the best of the Mirror types. "Hello," she said pleasantly. "Are you alright? I'm Demeter, by the way."

Asuka nodded, flailing her hands just a little, though not for any particular reason. At least this Senshi wasn't attacking her--that was a lot better than the alternative where she got punched. Really. Asuka very much preferred that.
"I'm fine, thanks, sorry!" She said, and she knew that she was apologizing like crazy, but better that than accidentally pissing off someone that could very quickly become an enemy. Ugh, unpleasant to think about.
She gave an actual proper wave that wasn't her flailing around like an idiot, though.
"Hi, I'm Asuka, nice to meet you."

Well, that was a bit funny. Nice to meet her! As if they weren't meant to be deathly enemies or something. She wondered what that really meant, then. Were the Mirror Senshi as bad as the Negaverse types? Maybe... it wasn't all bad. Even if their auras still felt dark... She didn't think she liked the way they felt, still, but if they were better people, then it couldn't be too bad to be nice to them. "Nice to meet you too," she said softly, tilting her head. "I don't suppose you're also new to this whole... magical girl thing, huh?"

This was nice. Obviously, she knew things didn't have to be all bad with people who weren't part of the Mirror--she'd had some pretty okay encounters with people outside it--but this was especially chill. There were no subtle threats, no reason to be afraid, and everybody was all polite and chill with each other.
All good. All great.
"Uh, less new than you might think," she said. "I've actually been a Senshi for like....four or five years, now? I just haven't been great at, you know, doing things. As one." She shrugged, a little helplessly. "Anyway, uh. Everybody gets stronger at their own pace, I guess? And mine has been, you know, glacial, but it works for me."
Sort of. Kind of. Mostly, she just had more going on in her life than being Sailor Asuka, and it wasn't until she'd met Tristan that she'd really felt a ton of enthusiasm for all of this. Not that it wasn't cool, and not that she hadn't made use of it--it was sooo much easier to get into places with magic--but it hadn't been a priority.
Not until now. Not until that beautiful girl with lavender hair came into her life and made her....
Made her want things.
Ugh, she was so dumb.

Whoa. Four or five years? Well, Demeter had only been around for what felt like four or five days, so seeing someone who still wasn't nearly as good as someone like the Eternal Kerberos after so long made her feel much better about being so slow to get started. To meet people. To do literally anything useful, given her whole thing was just healing and that didn't do jack s**t for anyone who was alone, at the moment. She really felt alone, without a lot of friends, which disconcerted her. Usually it came so easy! Usually, she could make friends as easy as breathing, but this whole... magical girl thing? It was much harder to make friends this way. "Yeah, I have a feeling I'll be moving slowly as well. This whole thing is like, pretty weird, ha! But I'm happy with it, I think. It's nice, knowing a whole other part of myself." She shrugged. "Anyway, um. Hey, if you see a Dark Mirror called Murikabushi, let him know I said hi?"

Asuka nodded. "That's totally okay, you gotta do this however you can, right?" Also, it comforted her to know that someone else had the intention of slow-rolling things.
She could worry about the fact that she'd tripped into doing so another time.
"But yeah, I think...it's really cool, getting to do magic like this. And, uh, I've never met Murikabushi? But if I see him, I'll totally tell him I met you."
Maybe it would give her a good in with someone else in her Court. That sounded great.
"Anyway, stay safe!" Asuka waved. "I've got, you know. Stuff. To do. But I hope we run into each other again!"
Funny, that she genuinely did. What a weird thing to think about someone who would probably object if she mentioned that "stuff" was "energy draining."
Oh well.
She skipped over to the next rooftop, and started to wander into the night.
