Aeleas stepped into the cold night air, shivering slightly in her Vanguard uniform. It was…strange to look like this again. She frowned slightly, crouching by the random mirror that had been hidden by a bush in the park and inspected herself.
Her hair had grown, it was past her shoulders now, and she was pleased by that…even though having her long hair didn’t seem to matter quite as much anymore…and she truly did like the bouncy blonde look she sported as Leah…but.
Quietly, she began to braid the hair up, sighing as it fell to just past the nape of her neck…not ideal but…not as short and terrible as it had been, and she could practice easier if it were in a braid…couldn't she?
With a sigh, Aeleas stood up again, glancing around. She hoped that the others were doing well…she missed her own kind…but. At the same time…she couldn't agree with what had been done. There was no reason why they couldn’t all just come and live on Earth…wasn’t any reason why they couldn’t just make new lives here on this wonderful planet.

Asuka couldn't help but enjoy the convenience of the mirrors scattered around Destiny City. She wanted to go to the park and pick some energy off late-night wanderers, and so she dipped through the mirror she'd found there tucked into a bush--undoubtedly left by one of her Courtmates--and stretched.
Really, it was a nice night, and she took things in when she came out--
And she spotted a person who was.
Distinctly.
Purple.
Did Asuka scream? Maybe. Yes. A little bit.
She was not used to purple people--and the firs thing she thought was youma!, which meant that this was definitely a threat and would totally attack her.
"Onryo's Grudge!" She yelped, and stumbled back towards the mirror, hoping her magic inflicted enough damage of whatever kind to chase the youma off.Quote: Asuka speaks the name of her attack, and is briefly surrounded by a thick, cold fog. When she emerges, she has the form of a classic onryo -- long, stringy hair, bloodstained funeral kimono, porcelain-white skin -- and points at one target. They will relive a memory in which they caused harm to another person, large or small, paired with a feeling that Asuka is here to revenge that wrong. The magic lasts for 30 seconds at this stage, and can be used three times per battle.

Aeleas jumped half a foot into the air at the scream and she turned around, looking confused, concerned. If someone was getting hurt…if someone was hurt, she could help, could she not? “Are you…”
The words began, but were quickly stopped and replaced by her own wide eyed fear as the…well, she assumed it was a senshi…but as the magic was used on her and she shuddered, thoughts of the battle on the hill coming back to her, thoughts of leaving her friends…losing her friends.
…Losing her way.
The howl of pain and misery that escaped her lips made Aeleas’ head hurt and she fell to her knees, clutching her head in confusion, in anguish.
She hadn’t wanted to leave them. But she couldn't agree with what was being done. Couldn't agree…wanted to stay with the humans that she had come to care so much about. “...W-why are you doing this? I have done nothing to you!”

The sound of anguish that the...person? Youma? Whoever? In front of her made was enough to make Asuka's heart clench with guilt. She did not feel good about this, and--did youma have feelings? Had she just accidentally attacked a person?
Oh, s**t.
"I--you--you're not a youma?" Her voice was shaky, and she kept her hand extended like it was some kind of real threat. "I've never seen a blue person before, okay! I thought you were a monster, and youma think Senshi like me are tasty snacks, and I don't wanna be a tasty snack!"
That was perfectly reasonable, wasn't it? To not want to be lunch for a monster? Surely this poor girl would understand, right???

“I am not a youma! I am…I am simply Aeleas!” Her voice was shrill and growing more and more panicked. What was she? She wasn’t part of the Vanguard any longer…she…had renounced that honor…renounced everything for this human life…but…
“I am no concern of you, and I thought that you humans had evolved beyond judging others on their skin color! Was there not wars fought over all of that? Goodness, are you even a human? Or are you so devolved that you have forgotten!”
What was she? She was nothing. Aeleas was literally nothing. Had no purpose. Was just…the name of a former member of the Vanguard who had cut her hair off in a badly done practice and fallen for this planet they were going to be on for only a short time…
“There is no place for me, I know that! But do not insult me by calling me a youma. I am not a twisted monster…I am…I am just me.”
The tears were beginning to run swiftly down her cheeks, and she didn’t want this insensitive senshi to see it, so Aeleas took off, running as quickly as she could, and slipping her glamour…her…her normal form of Leah back on when she was far enough away.
This. Just proved that Leah was who she was meant to be…but…
Oh, how it hurt.

Oh.
Oh no.
Oh, Asuka had really, really ******** up.
The knowledge that she had very much ******** up sank in, and she wrung her hands, frozen guiltily in place and staring at the tiny, blue girl that was yelling at her. Not a youma, okay, and now that she was really properly paying attention, there was no youma aura around, and...oh, she was so, so stupid. How could she have jumped to the assumption that this was a youma, when she was wearing very non-Negaverse clothes and the colors were so light, and--
Ugh, ugh, ugh. Asuka was such a total idiot, and this was probably the first time this alien had ever met a Dark Mirror, and now she was going to remember the jerk that thought she was a youma forever!
Clearly, she had upset this girl badly--and why wouldn't she have? Getting called a monster--that had to feel awful, and it made her want to shrivel up and disappear, though that wasn't going to fix what she'd done wrong already. That thought was enough to finally unfreeze her--that she wouldn't properly be able to apologize for such a terrible offense, and she would leave this girl with a bad impression of her whole Court, and who knew what kinds of problems that might cause, and anyway, she had hurt someone and she hadn't meant to--!!
"Wait!" She called, and she surged forward, but it was too late. "I'm sorry! I'm really, really sorry, I was wrong!"
Not that it made a difference. The alien girl was already gone, and Asuka was left alone to ponder her failures.
