The assistant detachment commander is the ODA's second in command. He is an officer that holds the rank of 1st Lieutenant who has been selected from within the Special Forces community's enlisted ranks.

Requirements
• Must be proficient in T1 RP
• Must have been in a Leadership position for at least 1 month in or outside of Special Forces
• If enlisted, must have gone through the Green to Gold program to earn an Officer rank
