Prompt 13 (Sweet Treats) : There’s no shortage of holiday themed popup shops and specials at your local places, and after a long day there’s nothing better than a nice treat for yourself. Maybe you decided to try something new, maybe it was a gift, maybe you got one of the coupons in the mail to try the place out–however you wound up with this drink, you’re in for a good time. No matter what your preferences are, the drink is delicious. Hot, cold, sweet, bitter–there’s a version of it for everyone. But, the flavor isn’t what makes the drink so special–it’s how good it makes you feel. There’s no alcohol in it, but drinking it can leave someone feeling tipsy, warm, and in a general good mood. Inhibitions aren’t lowered and there’s no negative repercussions for having the drink; it might make children more hyper, but the drink just has the ability to put someone in a pleasant mood.
Noelle was on a mission today and that mission was to get her parents the absolute best Christmas gift she could possibly find. The gifts had to be so perfect that perfection itself couldn't even compare. After all her parents were her best friends and any gift she got for them had to show them just how much she appreciated them and loves them more than words could tell. So she put on her fluffy red coat with the fur edges and headed out her families large wooden front door. The mission was going to begin on main street, where she had heard from her school friends that some of the most wonderful pop-up shops had opened. These popup shops apparently had everything one person could wish for. All her friends mentioned how they were able to get all their Christmas shopping done in no time at all. So she figured it would be the best place to start!
As her feet entered main street, her eyes lit up like the fourth of July! All the decorations were amazingly done. They had a massive Christmas tree in the center of the square that looked like Santa himself had decorated the branches of tree. If she could see it right she even thought she saw some beautiful icicle ornaments on the end of each branch and when the wind blew even slightly she could see the tree shine. Not to mention the decorations adorning the square was something she thought she could only see in her dreams. As she was almost drooling over the designs she tapped her cheeks. "I need to focus," she said to herself under her breath, "Christmas Presents are the mission." With that she regained her focus and headed down the square on the hunt for the perfect gifts.
She passed a few stalls that had beautiful items but nothing that shouted to her that these were the gifts she was looking for. As she let out a breath, and she tried with all she had in her to keep her hopes up. After all Christmas Time was the time for miracles and magic. The Christmas sprit as some called it just helped bring that magic alive and she had plenty of Christmas spirit to go on for miles.
Then she caught a whiff of something magical, she followed the smell to a small pop-up both. As she looked at the booth further she noticed it looked like it was hot chocolate, but not just any hot chocolate. This hot chocolate smelled amazing and hat some unique marshmallows and sprinkles or something glittery on top. That was all it took and she was hooked, "One please," she said as she pulled out some cash and handed it to the cashier. As she grabbed the hot chocolate within her hands she smiled and said, "Thank you, keep the change!" With that she headed to the nearest table to sit and enjoy her new magical hot treat. With one sip she was off in Christmas Heaven the hot chocolate raised her spirit ten folds and she felt like she had entered a realm where anything was possible. All of these good feelings rushed through her head and emotions like an explosion had happened from just one sip of Hot chocolate.
