“Honestly, I’d do what makes you feel most comfortable.” Her human guise might be easier so that she wouldn’t look strange having a one-sided conversation with a cat. But Breanna had a feeling that Illyria wasn’t thrilled with the idea.

A part of her did wonder if she found it strange walking around on two legs, was the experience like Lady Amalthea in the Last Unicorn. Or was the transition as natural as breathing? These questions and a few others raced through her mind but for one reason or another, she couldn’t quite bring herself to ask them. Probably because they were within earshot range of someone eavesdropping on their conversation but more likely out of fear of being too inquisitive or overbearing with her questions.

“I can hold you while we’re inside until we can find a table, if you’re ok with that.” she offered in kind since she ha no problem carrying her, or any mauvian for that matter, around especially when it was cold out.

For a brief moment, her memory flashed back to a time last year when she had run into a chaos mauvian. Gremlin as she had later learned his name, was a hairless little goblin with a sour attitude to match. Still, despite him scratching the s**t out of her arm for attempting to help him, Breanna was determined to prove that she was someone worth having as a friend and not an enemy. Hell might freeze over before then, but she was the Senshi of Heat and would keep that flame of hope alive.

Breanna cleared her throat, and mind for that matter, and focussed her attention back on Illyria. “One thing I do need to know though is what you'd like me to order for you once we get inside. I’m sure they will probably have some pastries there too if you have an idea of what you want.”

Breanna had been in the midst of sending a quick text to her sister, to let her know that she might be late when she heard an almost familiar voice call her name.

She looked up, slate-blue eyes scanning the small crowd until her gaze settled on a young woman walking towards her with an air of familiarity. “Illyria?” she asked almost cautiously on the off chance that this was one of those situations where someone smiles and waves kindly only to realize last minute as they walk past that the greeting was meant for someone standing behind her.

Embarrassing if this was the case but Breanna smiled and waited, heart thrumming in anxious apprehension, waiting for the dark-skinned woman with beautiful ombre curly hair to reply. Hoping beyond reason she wasn’t wrong.
