rger than a guinea pig, and have large eyes and wiggling noses. They are always pure white and seem to show up whenever there’s snow. They aren't menacing or evil, they're just everywhere. They seem strangely domesticated; they are sweet, curious, and friendly creatures that will eat anything you give them. They always seem cold to the touch, and when they shake, little snowflakes sprinkle off of them.
While they seem to be social creatures who seem to appreciate anything warm and will cuddle up to steal body heat, they are too skittish and fast to be kept for pets. They can show up just about anywhere, either alone or--often--in pairs. They tend to wander off on their own without any trouble, but if you surprise them or try to catch or hurt them, they may bite. Their little teeth are enough to break skin, but after one bite they run away. The bite itself isn’t bad, but the effects are a bit unpleasant: for roughly two days after the bite, the injury is cold and the victim will feel random, cold, shooting pains. Their core body temperature will drop and they will often be sent into random fits of shivering. No medicine seems to help, and no amounts of blankets or hot baths can soothe the chill. You're just going to have to deal with it and hope it gets better…
Most experiences with the bunnies are perfectly pleasant, you just have to worry about them burrowing. There are holes peppering Destiny City, and with the fresh fallen snow it can be impossible to tell where they are hiding. The holes range from small holes to several feet deep, so can be a minor inconvenience to a potential hazard. On the bright side, sometimes you wind up covered in bunnies looking for warmth from their sudden guest. On the other hand, there are a rising number of trips to the hospital for twists and sprains. The bunnies always leave with the snow, so best to enjoy them--or avoid them--for as long as you can.

Bellerophon looked up at the night sky, the stars and moon somewhat obscured by clouds as he lazily watched the moon move. It had been a while since he had been out and collecting energy. He had wanted to do it during the holidays when more people were out shopping, but he had found himself quite busy and unable to find the time to do it until after it was all over. Now everyone seemed to be staying at home, warm under the covers or blankets, probably drinking something hot.
And here he was just letting his wraiths wander around and steal energy from anyone that may have been passing by. To be fair, he himself wasn’t that busy and while he did have New, it could still be a bit lonely at this time. Moving to a new place, even if it was starting to feel like home, couldn’t replace the country that he had spent most of his life in. He was next to a heat vent, his back against the wall of the roof just letting his eyes wander when he thought he saw one… no two bunnies. These were the infamous snowbunnies, right?
He thought he had heard of them, or at least seen them since last winter. It had been so long however that he wasn’t sure. Still, they seemed to be minding their own business and he didn’t have his phone on his powered person to take a picture, just his compact. And if they were magical, which they seemed to be and he assumed that they were, even his compact taking a picture might not work on them.
Instead he decided to just watch them. They moved around slowly, hoping from one point to the next as if they were looking around and trying to find the perfect spot in the snow on the roof. Then suddenly one of them sat up looking alarmed and the other followed, before they both went back to hopping around for a bit. Then it appeared that they started to groom themselves and he wondered what exactly they had gotten dirty with that would require them to groom anyway. If they were made of snow, frozen water, wouldn’t grooming not be enough to get any of the dirty water off them?
He sighed. Perhaps he was paying too much attention to them, and he let his eyes wander back up to the sky, the moon showing a bit more now. He had to admit, he was a bit disappointed that while he was a Dark Mirror Senshi he would never be able to see his Homeworld. If that traveling merchant came again, maybe he would have another artifact from there that would give him a bit more information. After all, he had gotten that light first and while it didn’t seem significant, perhaps it meant something. And it had given him an idea of what to do with his space. It would take a long time to see that fulfilled, however.
He got up and started to stretch, startling the snowbunnies a bit. If he ever was to get his island going, him sitting here wasn’t helping anything. He called his wraiths back and was glad that they had gotten some energy. Now he could go into Mirrorspace and see what he could do.
