Had Kosmochlor been really getting tired of all of this total lack of progress she'd been making on her personal project for how long now? Yes! Does she had any ideas about what to do with it? She was getting there, actually; that trip into the rift, watching Galvorn mutate and distort, and everything in that lost General's facilities had brought her some inspiration. Not much. But enough that she had reason to think she might get somewhere, or at least have an idea about what to do to get somewhere.

There wasn't any point in trying to put it through a General-Sovereign; she knew full well that they thought the biohacking and youma experimentation Amazonite specialized in, and that Kosmochlor enjoyed messing around in, was... unremarkable was hardly the correct word. They didn't like it. Which: they were allowed to be wrong! But as far as she knew, none of the General-Sovereigns had ever had their arms chopped off, so as far as she was concerned Kosmochlor felt she was probably in a better position than they were to make opinions on what exactly the 'healthy' and 'correct' level of youma biohacking without going half-youma probably was.

And looking at Faustite, and looking at how he'd powered the whole place, had given her ideas. She wasn't entirely sure what those ideas were!! But they were definitely there. If she could somehow power her own device, and make it part of her... some kind of graft? But no. Youma didn't really learn mechanical. She'd need to be more creative with that. There were the small youma, though, weren't there? There were some parasitic types. So she could definitely get looking at how those attached to people, when they did, and what they drew from it, and their methods for doing so. And maybe some more chameleon-type youma, something that could disguise itself...? Or did she want to check out more humanoid youma? Choices! Choices. So many choices?

First off she needed to decide what general shape she wanted this to be in and what she wanted it to do before she even got into all the meat of the work. It wasn't as if parts were limitless, and the more she started trying to requisition tech-wise, the more suspicious people would be. Might be? Would be. Which was a problem, given what she was doing probably wasn't going to be approved by the Negaverse at large, but, hey, if she did something impressive or never-before-done with it without ending up as a cautionary tale about hubris, then Kosmochlor was pretty sure she'd get commended for it!

The commendation might just also come with a 'don't ever do that again', but she was willing to look past that! She was almost looking past it right now, even!!

With all that in mind, Kosmochlor reached to the side, grabbed one specific screwdriver without even looking at it, and dragged the half-wrecked tablet she was poking at up to her face to see if she'd understand that one specific part of its internals any better. Seriously, how did Mautech do it? The programming language was one thing, but the tech was insane, it had to have magic involved, and how was she supposed to replicate that?

She didn't need to replicate it. She just needed to alter it.

She could do that.
