Quote: Prompt 2 (Snow Spike): Ice and snow? Fine. Hail? Slightly less fine. Large, icicle-like shards of ice falling from the sky? Horrifying. For no apparent reason, Destiny City is plagued with another strange phenomenon, only this one can strike at any time. The icicles plummet from the sky with no warning, regardless of a clear or cloudy sky. The spikes range in size from a few inches up to two feet. Sometimes only one might fall, or sometimes a torrent of them, but they never fall far longer than a minute at a time. Some have reported a strange green lightning in the sky just before the icicles fall, so there seems to be at least some warning. Injuries and damage have been reported across the city, so it’s best to stay vigilant and hope for the best. Wavellite had gravitated to the feeling of the corrupted aura, thinking that it was someone that she knew, either Xenia or maybe even Dresda telling her he got a promotion…but…if that had been the case she would have been told by Bellite first…and honestly, if he got a promotion before she did…she would actually be more than a little cross…but.
As she bounded up, arm raised in what was going to be a cheerful greeting, she paused and frowned slightly. “Oh! Someone new! Hi there. I’m Captain Wavellite.” Her eyes went up and down taking in his figure and his exposed midriff…it wasn’t the ideal kind of outfit for this cold weather but…
One didn’t choose their costumes for all of this, alas.
“It’s nice to meet you!”
She didn’t notice the sky darkening around them, it was winter. The clouds rolled in…that’s just what happened.
Besides, snow was expected later. Mr. Midriff would just…hopefully be inside by then.

Taenite was out to stretch his legs. It was easier (and more fun) to maneuver through the city when he was powered as opposed to driving his really expensive car through the snow. And ice. And ice shards. Whatever was going on with the weather meant he was going to be keeping his cars under a roof for as long as possible.
He didn’t expect someone to actually greet him, but he lifted his hand to indulge her, and offered her a charming smile.
“I run hot,” he explained first with amusement, since he could see the way she looked at his outfit. “Taenite,” he introduced with a wink. “Nice to meet you. What brings you out here?”

“Honestly, if you want the honest truth I thought you were going to be my girlfriend. Whenever I feel a super senshi aura I just assume that it’s her…like, I know there are more of you all out there I just…” Wavellite shrugged, giving a slight grin. “It’s a great way to meet new people, but it’s always a bit of a let down when I realize that it’s not her…so there won’t be any hardcore kissing involved with my night, unless I go back to the apartment and she’s there but. That’s neither here nor there.”
At least with her ramblin, she was showing this Teanite that she was taken, and that his over the top flirting simply wouldn’t wrok.
Definitely…wouldn’t work. Ever?
“Even if you run hot, I think you should have something on, you’ll get frostbite on your stomach and that would be pretty hard to explain away, I think.”
As something hard and small hit her on the back of the head, Wavellite scowled, reaching up to rub the top of her head. “What…the hell?”
Glancing down at the ground, it looked like…an icicle? But.
There were no trees or anything that it could have fallen from.
God this city was stupid.

“I could be your girlfriend,” Taenite beamed with amusement, flashing her a grin and a wink. “Who says there couldn’t be any hardcore kissing involved?”
There of course was the chance that she was not into guys, but he couldn’t help but put himself out there. Why not have fun with the time they all had?
“It’s sweet that you’re worried about my stomach,” he grinned still, rubbing his hand over his abs when--
Oh, was that an icicle that just hit her? Cautiously, Taenite lifted his arm to guard his eyes before glancing up at the sky. It didn’t seem to have come from anywhere.
“Some kid playing jokes, maybe,” he suggested, but there was something in his tone that said he wasn’t convinced.

Wavellite stared at him for just a moment, still stunned by the shard of ice that had smacked her on the head, but managing to give a snort, half of amusement, half of deepest confusion.
She knew that there were people in the world that had confidence...more confidence than brains but…
…She had never actually met someone like that before. Ah well. There was a first time for everything she supposed.
“...Would have been a tall kid I mean…” Raising her own arm to shield her eyes as well, she glanced up, not seeing a tree or…anywhere that it could have reasonably come from…though, she did see another one falling, this one nearly as long as her hand to her wrist.
“What the hell!”
Jumping backwards, Wavellite stared at the spot where the large icicle shattered, right where she had been standing not a moment before.
“...Why is this city like this?”

Taenite managed to jump back as well, but not before being hit in the foot with one of the shards. And it hurt because his shoe wasn’t exactly steel toed.
“Okay, that’s enough ice,” he growled, clearly losing interest in whatever jokes the city was playing on them. “Stand back,” he suggested and held out his hand to unleash a fiery vortex. If there was anything in the sky above them dropping icicles, the fire should hopefully melt them.
“Ah, dearest Wavellite, how I wish we were to meet under better circumstances and clearer skies,” he sighed dramatically, although he stood with his hands on his hips, clearly proud of the fire tornado hopefully melting whatever ice dared to drop on them.
“Perhaps our paths crossed to offer each other solace in these trying times, and -- okay, maybe we should move,” he said, dropping the dramatic act as another icicle fell and he had to quickly step out of the way of it shattering, despite the fire.
“Hope to see you in Negaspace sometime,” he offered her a small salute. “Stay warm.” Quote: Sailor Scout Attack: Fire WhirlSimilar to a dust devil, a thin pillar of flames is drawn up from the ground. It is about seven feet high and two feet wide. It can be controlled to move quickly across flat surfaces, but cannot go through obstacles, such as a car. While it is possible to dodge out of the way if quick enough, the heat can still be felt when close as one would feel real flames. While the fire does not leave permanent damage to humans or animals, clothing and objects can be left charred, and the anyone caught in the flames will feel the sensation of burns (up to second degree) until the flames disappear. Players may choose to take lasting damage at their discretion. The magic lasts for thirty seconds and can be cast twice.

Wavellite couldn’t help her smirk and nodded, impressed by his magic, but still…growing more and more concerned with the situation as a whole. “Sounds good to me. It was good meeting you, and let’s hope that when we meet again we’re not in danger of falling…everything.”
Returning his salute with a little finger wave of her own, Wavellite took a step backwards and vanished into the night.
He was strange, but. Allies were allies, and she wasn’t going to fault anyone for being eccentric.
