Marquette had no idea what a gym membership was going to cost, so when she was eager to get a membership for herself, Fawn and Juniper, she was staggered by the fact that it wasn’t just going to be the simple ten dollars a month that the advertisement kept saying…there was also a startup fee and an annual fee but…
Damnit. She wanted them to all have the benefit of actually being able to get fit…so. She coughed up the cash in the name of Merry Christmas. Or whatever.
Fawn had been given her gift already, so now there was just Juniper…and she was trying to figure out the best way to say, hey you’re kind of weak, so let’s go to the gym together and get strong without making the poor thing cry...and she still didn’t have any idea. Oh well. She’d wing it. Maybe if she led with the fact that her and Fawn both had memberships…it wouldn’t go so badly. Or…Something.

Shooting Juniper a text to meet her in the park, Marquette headed out, slipping on her warmest jacket and some gloves. It was stupidly cold today.

Juniper whined to himself, scrubbing at his face. Of all the things to agree to do. He was not a morning person. Not in the slightest bit. So here he was trudging his way to the park all cause his friend sent him a slew if doe eyed emoji's
He really as weak
"You owe me coffee... Or a Red bull or something." He hissed, upon arrival at the park. He eyed Marq suspiciously. "So what was sooo important that you couldn't tell me what I was getting signed up for?
He loved her, really he did.
But it was too damn cold and early for this.

Marquette blinked and gave a snort. “Yeah sure, I’ll take you for coffee after this if you want, but I called you here to give you your wonderful, fantastic, amazing christmas present so…you obviously can’t be mad at me…it’s a good gift, I promise even if it might not seem like it right at the moment…but.”
She drew out the membership card and gave a grin, hoping that the grin would take care of the whole thing and…and make it so he wasn’t upset by her gift. “It’s a gym membership! I got one for me and Fawn too so we can all get buff and strong and…you know…kick more a** than we already do.”
Honestly, Marquette wanted to say more. Say that it wasn’t cheap at all and that she hoped he liked it. Wanted to say that they all needed it, especially him…but…she didn’t, only gave another broad smile. “Do you love it?”

Juniper fixed her with a flat look and a raised eyebrow as he dragged his gaze from the card to her. "....Honey.... Look at me." Just what did Marq think was going to happen there. "Dear, There is nothing to me. What about me am I suppose to be buffing up? I am a book worm." He asked, giving a little spin for dramatic effect. "And technically, you already kick more a** than I do. There's a bit of a power difference at the moment."
He fixed her with another flat stare before shying. "At the risk of getting my starseed frisked for a wrong answer. I'm going to wisely say the answer you want to hear and say 'Yeah. Sure'. But you owe me so many coffee's for this." With a relenting sigh, he took the card. "Lead the way."

Marquette tried to look serious for a moment but ended up just laughing and throwing her arm around his shoulder. “All of you, duh. And when you do, you’ll find someone who will just drool at the sight of you, so if you don’t want to it for you know…work reasons…do it so you can find someone who wants to feel up your sexy tight muscles, yeah?”
She waggled her eyebrows and began leading them towards the gym.
It was as good a day as any to start...at the very least she could introduce him to it…and hopefully…he would like the gift. Hopefully. “It is really nice, I didn’t skimp. They have a pool too, and a steam room! Also, I splurged and got us all the like…VIP passes, so you can bring a friend with you too if you ever want.”

"Oh 'all of me' huh? What happened to 'You're perfect just the way you are'?" He teased. "Tight muscles, my a**." Juniper rolled his eyes playfully as she slung a arm over his shoulders. "I'ma make you regret this card. I don't know how just yet. But, you're in trouble once I do." He would at, least give this a shot. Juniper couldn't promise anything amazing, or if this would even last. But he would at least try. She was making an effort to better him... So he might as well too.
"Oh my gooooood. You didn't. Marquette, that must have cost a fortune. Why."

Marquette gave a sheepish grin. “A few reasons, honestly. The first being because I had no idea just how much a gym membership cost, and I had thought it was a great idea and was already utterly committed so couldn’t just go back on my word or whatever…and um. Obviously, we’re worth it, you and me and Fawn, we deserve to be stronger. We deserve to be the best that we can be, and last was the fact that the money I used all came from people I’ve taken energy or starseeds from, so…you know what they say. Easy come, easy go.”
The grin broadened and Marquette hugged Juniper’s shoulders. “I won’t regret it. You are perfect just the way you are, but you can be better. We all can…and I’m hoping that this is the key for us to do it!”

"Aren't they like mad cheep at the beginning of the year cause everyone uses it as a New Years Resolution or whatever? I can't imagine they're that expensive..." Juniper rolled his eyes. "You realize this is like the opposite, of where you find people like me right?" The coffee shop three doors down, yeah. Sure. That made sense.
But the Gym?
Less so.
"I don't want to know how you got that money or why you took it so lets leave me in the dark on that." Juniper said flatly. He wasn't about to steal more from people then he needed. As it was he wasn't super keen on the idea of ganking somone's starseed anyway. Energy, sure. They didn't get hurt... But a starseed was another story. He wasn't about to tell her that though.
"No no. You're going to regret this. Mark my words."
