The time had finally come and Benitoite had been handed the list of who was on his team. Two names he knew, personally, but the other names he was unfamiliar with. He could only assume they were new members of the Negaverse, or at least newer than he himself. He hadn't been as in the loop on new recuits as others surely were, especially since he wasn't recruiting new members himself, but he was certain they were capable or they wouldn't be here - right? He didn't think they'd be here if the General in charge didn't think them capable, he'd have likely tossed them out on site at the meeting if they were incapable or a danger to the operation.

Figuring that meant he had a solid team, though how solid he didn't know, he was confident in things. He'd had to pay for a class, or three, in repeling so he could learn what he'd need to know. It wasn't that he disliked heights, he rather liked them, but he'd never needed such a skill so had never learned till now. He just hoped he knew enough to not go falling and make a fool of himself, and hold back his team.

Looking around at those gathered, some faces he knew and some he didn't, the ashen blond hoped this mission went well. He just wondered what they might discover at the end of it, and more importantly what they'd do with what they discovered. He had no doubt whatever they found would either he deemed useless and destroyed or it would be repurposed to suit their needs. He just wondered which it would be. Tieing his hair back, to keep it from his face, the blond shifted his weight and kept to the wall so he could observe.

He had been surprised to see their newest General King not in a lead posistion in a group. He would have figured he'd take a lead posistion.

Jet told Faustite that if he was going to approve this mission of his, he would need to know as much information as possible leading up to their venture into the Rift. So far things were moving as smoothly as expected. Faustite had created a map as requested, and he’d set up the agents involved to be volunteer based (despite Aquamarine’s disagreement in that they should have required the best of the best to come along), and they’d all been warned about the cliff that they would have to scale in order to get to the mysterious, technologically advanced building.

He’d let Faustite set up the teams. With no youma around, they had the opportunity to give many who hadn’t had it before a chance to lead a team. Some were set up as co-leads, such as Jadarite and Albite, and Jet was personally grateful that Aquamarine was paired with Kamacite. He knew the two didn’t exactly get along, but Aquamarine knew of Kamacite’s strengths and had even sought him out at the last minute to help them with the Void.

Everyone had time to prepare for this mission, and he was confident in his own team. Leifite might have been a Captain, but both he and Faustite agreed that it was worth giving her a chance since she seemed eager to prove herself.

“Benitoite,” Jet greeted as he caught sight of the General leaning against a nearby wall. Jet had already removed his cape and his jacket. The sash he wore over his uniform had been removed as well, so that nothing was loose to get snagged on the rocks while they rappelled. His curly hair had been pulled back into the shortest half-ponytail poof imaginable, secured with a sparkly pink hair tie -- Aquamarine’s handiwork, of course, but at least it kept his bangs out of his eyes.

“Do you and your group have everything you need? Medical supplies? Extra rope? Flashlights?” he asked, obviously prepared to offer any of those items if Benitoite or his team needed it.

The time they'd been afforded, thankfully, had allowed him to prepare more than he'd thought he'd have time for. The classes he knew would help, plus he'd talked with Arseno as well. That was how he'd procured some medical things from the other, as well as a super senshi he was sharing a team with. The two of them had been helpful to say the least, he knew the general who dressed like a plague doctor would he useful to his team. Now that he was wel lrested, and under a lot less stress, he'd be useful if anyone got hurt.

Startled by the sound of a voice he turned his focus towards their general king. Nodding his head once in greeting. "I've got medical needs handled, we have two medical students in our midst and they proved helpful. Flashlights of course, they are a must where we're going. The rope I think I've enough but I could always be wrong, anything can happen." Of course anything could happen, and in cases liek this anything was likely to happen. He was just hoping nothing would go wrong.

"I added some food rations to the bag I have, just incase." He would be taking a bag with him filled with needs for his group. He'd grabbed protein bars, water bottles, and the like for his group. He even had a few of those iv hydration things - just incase.

"I don't like the idea of a place that youma avoid, unless summoned and ordered to." He stated. It left a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach, which he hoped was all for nothing. "What is your thoughts on this?" He questioned, wanting to know the others personal thoguhts on this matter. Jet hadn't been around as long as he'd been but the other had seen enough, and done enough. There was no reason not to ask.

“We should all be together on the way down, so if anyone runs short of supplies there should be enough,” Jet said as he adjusted the cuff of his shirt. Getting down the cliff should be the easy part. Unfortunately. There were too many unknowns for Jet to be completely comfortable, but then again it was dangerous to be completely comfortable in the Rift.

“I think it’s worth looking into. We have no idea what the building that General Faustite discovered is for. Yet. Hopefully we’ll be able to discover enough to come up with a better plan if we do have to go back. General Faustite said it seemed technologically advanced, and since there was no shortage of youma during our last mission to the Scar, there is likely something going on with the building that is keeping the youma away,” Jet surmised.

Maybe there was a resonance like a dog whistle, although Arles didn’t report as much, and Jet didn’t want him getting any closer, in case something was causing harm to the youma.

“With the youma staying away, it should be a little safer for the Senshi on our teams at least. Make sure you have the Senshi on your team cut their hair before getting their climbing gear on,” he suggested.

"I'll keep that in mind incase we need more supplies before we break fro mthe group." He'd be sure to check with each of his group members once they landed from the climb. If they were all good he'd be happy, if not than they'd get more supplies. He was assuming they'd have enough but he didn't know for certain, none of them could, this would be interesting though. "Perhaps after this we should, as an organization, work on climbing and repelling training for members? We might need such skills in the future." Perhaps if it was made into a group thing, with several going to classes together, it would motivate people and they'd keep up with it. It wouldn't hurt for them all to learn, as far as he figured. It would just be one more skill for them to have, something he doubted most of order would posess. It might come in handy in unexpected ways even.

"I agree, it is worth looking into. Anything that strange and unusual is, especially when it concerns the Rift or anything within our realm. I'm glad that the senshi will be safer this time than the last." Provided no one did anything stupid, if someone did he could see sever punishment awaiting them upon return from the mission.

"If it's technologically advanced I hope we can figure it out and put it to good use." Would they need a branch devleloped just to handle this base, if they figured it out? A base full of the geeks of the Negaverse...it would be an interesting thing...and useful perhaps. For those who weren't good with fighting, or energy gathering, it might be a good place to assign them.

“I don’t know about you, but this will be the second time in my life that I’ve had to climb down a cliff side,” Jet admitted as he continued to adjust the clothing he was left wearing so he would be ready to go when Faustite gave the signal.

“I guess if agents want to learn and practice in their free time they can do whatever they want, but we could probably invest in more practical skills. Combat, developing more sustainable ways to gather and process energy, acting classes for Infiltration…”

Keeping in shape was a good idea, but there were other ways to do it that didn’t involve a skill that was needed only twice in the eight years he’d been in the Negaverse.

“Let’s just find out what the building is, first,” Jet cautioned. He knew there was quiet, excited or curious chatter about the mysterious, technologically advanced building in the Rift, but they needed to be careful and needed to temper their expectations, in his opinion.

“We need to find out what’s happening to the youma, and there’s no guarantee the Rift won’t just swallow the building up again.” Especially if it was at the bottom of a cliff.

"Like wise but it might come in handy when it comes to roaming the cities." He could see where it might be needed, though it would be odd and rare times. Anything was possible really, especially when magic was added in. Shifting and moving to remove his own cape he glanced about for a place to lay it, finding no where he wished to leave it he banished it, it would be safe in subspace.

"That might be a good idea, I think we could benefit from learning practicle skills. We never know when we might need them, or when a single agent might find themselves in a posistion." If even one person benefitted from whatever skills they'd teach he was ok with it, it would be one agent helped and potentially even saved.

"I rather hope the Rift doesn't swallow it up. I'm curious about this place, though cautious, it is an odd thing to find in such a place. Perhaps if this has been found maybe the Rift will give up other secrets in the future." One could only hope, he would like to see more things it might reveal, if it were so kind to it's officers. "Let us hope all goes well on this mission and we find out the purpose for this place, and why the youma dislike it." Because this was the youma's home...they shouldn't be avoiding things down here. His coat was being unbuttoned as he spoke and once it was off, slowly removed, it too was sent to subspace.

"I wish us all the best in this."
