◦ While the life of an Orlesian noble may seem like one of lavish luxury, it's not without out its burdens. Whether it's being made to carry ones family banner into military service, inherit the management of a family business, or being expected to marry for the purpose of maintaining or establishing certain alliances with other noble families, there are many pressures placed on the shoulders of children of nobles. Thankfully, Finnwick never had to worry about any of that. As the fourth born, third son of the noble Pendleton family, by the time he unexpectedly came along, all the crucial roles in his family had already been filled. His eldest brother, Cedric had a promising military career, his elder sister, Sarah, was engaged to the son of another prominent noble family, and his other brother, Simon, was stepping into the role of managing the family's holdings. Tis left Finnwick free of the traditional burdens of a noble child allowed him to pursue whatever his heart desired. There was only ever one expectation placed upon him: Never do anything to embarrass the family. As such, Finnwick learned to compose himself with the utmost grace, developing his etiquette to near perfection.
◦ An avid lover of the arts, Finnwick chose to use his free time pursue things such as music, poetry, and writing, showing great talent in all areas but especially music. Eventually, when he came of age, he go on to attend the University of Orlais to study the violin, pursuing a career as a professional minstrel while also continuing to hone his skills as a writer. While his skills as a musician continued to grow, sadly the same could not be said of his writings. It wasn't necessarily that his work was bad, as they were undeniably well composed. The most common criticism he received was that his work was "uninspired" or lacked a certain spark. This was devastating for Finnwick to hear, fearing that he had lost his flare. However, rather than giving into despair, he made a plan to reclaim his lost muse. Taking a break from school, "Finn" set out on a journey into the outside world, leaving behind his family's noble name to travel the world and experience life from a whole new perspective. Little did he know, what was meant to be a enlightening trip would soon turn into an epic journey, one that would perhaps serve as the inspire the greatest story ever told.
