She hadn’t yet told Mourite that she was a General, but that would obviously be fixed tonight when they met up for a patrol, and Danalite was utterly itching for it. He would be proud of her, she was sure. After all, it was due to his efforts that she had joined the wonderful family that was the Negaverse, and now that she was fully immersed with all of the boons of her position, there was nowhere else she would rather be.
Ever.
The weak little naive Cosmos Page was now a General of the great Negaverse itself, complete with two swords that could easily slice a person in half. Or if not a person, at the very least a large salami. A wheel of cheese too.
Grinning, Danalite took a moment to check her reflection in the bathroom mirror, the starseed of the other woman who had been checking her makeup safely tucked into subspace as before she teleported to where she and Mourite were due to meet up.
Upon seeing the Captain, Danalite lunged at him, wrapping her arms around him and half clinging to his back. “I’ve missed you.”

He stared at her, arms slowly, awkwardly, coming to wrap around her as Danalite - General Danalite - clung to his back and squeezed him tight. She was a General now... He'd known that her transition to the dark side had given her an upgrade but, by the Stars, she'd launched herself into the whole thing. If he was being honest, it scared him. It scared him just how immersed she'd become in it all.
It scared him to think what she might do to him if she knew that he was courting with going to the stars with Sava.
Mourite twisted a little in her hold to be able to return the hug. She was different. Not in a bad way, perhaps, but one that scared him a little. Made him miss his little piece of stardust that let him kiss her soul.
Chaos had done wonderful things to her, that was for sure, he just...
"Good grief Danalite, you scared me half to death! Let me get a look at you, dear," he said, pulling away in order to properly give her a look over. He wouldn't deny that the promotion had done lovely things for her. The military suit jacket like cape was a nice touch, honestly. She looked... so at home.
His little stardust was more like a white dwarf now, threatening to swallow him whole.
"Really dived into the work, huh? It looks good on you." he was sincere as he spoke, even if there was a sinking feeling in his gut all the while. He kissed her cheek, doing his best to keep his emotions in check.
Stars above, she out ranked him now...

“Didn’t mean to scare you! I was hoping to surprise you, and by your utterly stunned tone, it sounds like I did! Huzzah!” Danalite laughed richly and nodded, pressing a kiss back to his own cheek, and then capturing his lips in a slow, leisurely kiss. “Of course I’ve dived into the work. I had to make myself useful, and this is just…it’s fun. Easy. It’s like this was my real calling all along, and I wouldn’t have ever known that if it wasn’t for you, my Mourite.”
Her arms twined themselves around his neck and she kissed him again, grinning. “My Kanan. Jedi Knight. So full of s**t, but I love you so much, and I hope you know that. I would be nothing if I hadn’t met you.”
Still a stupid, scared and confused little girl. Absolutely useless in the scheme of things. A waste of space.

He'd spent so long trying to stay under the radar with most Negaverse engagements in order to avoid his a*****e of a father, he'd forgotten that actually jumping into the Kool-Aid brought you power and respect. Mourite was a right foul agent, if a girl he'd brought into the Negaverse, what last year? could be a General already.
He'd barely limped his way to Captain as it was.
He let himself get lost the kisses, feeling his body heat with her touches. Danalite was right, as always. He was full of s**t and lies and facades. Even now, even as she kissed him and he slowly trailed a path along her jaw line with his lips, he was full of s**t and lies and facades.
She loved him, despite all that. Despite that he'd lied to her in the beginning, that he'd disappeared for a year, that he was lower rank than her now. He growled under her ear, hands digging into her sides in frustration. Frustration at himself, for not being stronger. Frustration at her for thinking she'd be nothing without him.
"You wouldn't have been nothing. Don't ever think that," he said, voice quiet and restrained. After all, she'd reached General without his help. She hardly needed him in her shadow. "I mean, Danalite, you out rank me now. You did all that without my help. I just... gave you a path to walk."
He smiled at her and kissed her again.
"I love you."

“I do outrank you, so that just means you need to hurry up and be a General with me.” Her voice was half pleading and half a whine, but Danalite pressed closer, enjoying all of the attention. It was bliss. And the fact that if she wanted she could order him around and he’d have to listen? Well. That was just fun.
“I love you too. More than anything or anyone else in my life. And I’m so glad that you’re still here with me.”
She had a strange, sudden idea and chewed her lip for a moment before she grinned. “Do you think that you and I should get married? I think we should get married. I’d love to be your kickass General wife, Mourite. Will you marry me? I don’t have a ring or anything but…it shouldn’t be hard to find one.”
A half baked idea, but the idea of binding them together forever just…
It sounded utterly perfect.

"M-marriage? Wait. What? Are you..." he stared at her, wide eyed and quite sure he'd heard her wrong. She wanted to marry him? Him of all people? This washed up, half lost, trauma filled young man who half the time didn't know who he was, much less what he wanted? Except her. Everything was so solid, so firm around her, like a gravitational point. The one thing that could anchor him to the ground, and not the stars above.
He surged forward, grasping her face with his hands and crushing his mouth against hers. Mourite's heart pounded like a drum in his chest. ********, ********, this was so stupid, she was so stupid, it was half baked and spur of the moment and--
"Yes, yes I will marry you," he breathed, one hand rummaging through subspace blindly for something. "Got a ring. Kinda old fashioned. Maybe too much like a knight signet ring but..."
He held out the small silver ring, an ornate constellation and whisper stone design wound with fine wire and tiny gemstones.
"It was... my mother's. Her last work before. She died," he said softly with a little smile. "...What do you think?"

Danalite hadn’t thought she would surprise him this badly…honestly, it was something she had wanted for a long while just…hadn’t ever been brave enough to ask for it…but now? Now she was stronger. Different. Better...and he wanted to marry her in return.
The grin that stretched her face was almost painful, and she felt a little dizzy and breathless from the kiss, but swallowed, eyes growing wide as he pulled out the ring. “I think it’s the most beautiful engagement ring I’ve ever seen in my life, unless you want this to be the wedding ring in which case, it’s the most beautiful wedding ring I’ve ever seen in my life…Mourtie…Ren.”
With that, Danalite let her General form drop, leaving only plain, boring Sophie in its place…she wasn’t anything special as Sophie, but she had a great pair of siblings and…and she was happy.
“I love you more than life itself, Ren. Thank you. Would you put it on me?” Her eyes were sparkling behind her glasses and Sophie held her hand out, still utterly beaming.

He let out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding. The ring didn't offend her. It didn't make her question his believes or allegience or anything, simply because it was reminiscent of Cosmos. Mourite felt love and warmth spread through him as Danalite slipped from her form and simply Sophie was left. She might think herself useless and boring and plain, but to Mourite - to Ren - she was the most amazing person in the world.
He dropped his powered form, leaving Ren standing in the cold with the ring still in hands.
"Of course, my little stardust," he said, beaming. His cheeks hurt with how hard he was smiling, and he was sure there was at least some tears on them or threatening to leave his eyes. He slipped the ring onto her finger.
"Mind if I take your last name? And maybe... maybe we deal with my father? Together?" Kinda out of left field, but he was feeling incredibly powerful and courageous right now. He saw the chance to cut his father out of his life once and for all. He'd finally be free of his father's shadow, his yoke, his... everything.
He could be whoever he wanted to be, with Sophie by his side.

Sophie looked at the ring with a fond expression, and then hugged him tightly. “I love you so much, I would be honored for you to take my last name, and I would be happy to help you deal with your father.” He’d had it coming for quite some time, and her Ren deserved to have a life without having to look over his shoulder all of the time.
“My last name is that that my brother took, I suppose our father isn’t…” She paused and gave a grim smile. ”Wasn’t the best. He’s gone now though. And yours will be too.”
Rubbing Ren’s back, she leaned back and kissed him again, slowly and gently. “I want us to have the world. No matter what that means. I only want you to be happy.”

Ren smiled fondly at her and kissed her softly. "Then let's get us the world, love," he said, threading his fingers into hers. He decided that it didn't matter where or what they were. As long as they were together, and had each other, they couldn't fail.
He was a planet, and she was his star.
