The fact that Angelica had someone to mentor made her feel…well. Pretty good.
Kind of powerful. Strong. Like she had a purpose or something. Whatever it was, she liked it and wanted it to continue, even if it might be a little concerning…was this a power trip? Should she be worried that it was going to go to her head?
…Nah.
Making her way to see Steins, Angelica once again went through her mental checklist, and figured that everything she wanted to go over was still there, mostly. Setting up more days of patrols, figuring out if they could be friends outside of patrols…figuring other things out that she hadn’t quite…figured out herself.
It was fool proof. Ish. Fool proof ish.
Whatever.
The grin that spread over the super senshi’s face when she felt and saw her friend and…mentee? Was that a word? Sure it was, and if it wasn’t, nobody else had to know.
“Steins! Hi! You’re here, and I’m here and we can get this party started!” Party-ish. Patrol, party…kind of the same thing only not really.

It had been a busy day, but she had gotten all her work done. Any other night she might have kept Dom company as he oversaw the evening's visitation, but she told him that she might finally get some more answers to this whole magical girl thing and he seemed well enough to let her go do that. Soooooo now, here she was. Steins wasn't sure what all 'patrolling' entailed, but if it was just walking around town in their silly magical girl get-ups, that was fine. Walk and talk - two things she was at least fairly capable of doing at the same time. "Angelica! Hi~" Steins greeted, "I hope it's a tame party - maybe.....more of a study hall, considering I know next to nothing about pretty much anything." she said with a hint of awkward laugh to her voice.

“Well, tame parties aren’t hard to do, and if you’d rather this just be a walking question and answer session, I’m happy to provide whatever answers that I can!”
They might not be the correct answers, but Angelica sure would try…and if she didn’t know the answer…she was sure that she would be able to find out, and then everyone would go home happy.
“If that sounds more to your speed, I’m game for it! I brought us some snacks too, if you’re interested! I went to my favorite candy shop and got some fudge, and oh! I made this for you, it’s…not edible but it’s cute!”
Reaching into her subspace pocket, she drew out a small block of fudge and a wrapped bar of soap, carved to look like Frankenstein's monster. “I thought…you might like it, if I thought wrong, just, let me know and I'll try for something different next time. But it’s pear blossom scented so at least it smells nice!”

Gifts in hand, Steins looked at the little soap figure with a smile, "Awww, it's cute! Thank you! I'll try to remember to bring something next time. Things were pretty busy before I left to come here." Honestly, she hadn't even thought about it. Whoops. "Sooooo, Q and A time. I guess first thing I wanna know is what's up with these cats? Like, are they just picking people at random and handing out magic pens for shits and giggles orrrrrr~? I mean, Cats already have taken over the internet, I don't think they need more help taking over the world," she laughed. "But legit - the one I met just gave me a pen, told me how to power up, then ran off. Like gee, thanks little buddy, but what am I supposed to do with this magic now that I have it, y'know?" Perhaps now that made it all the more painfully obvious how little Steins knew about what she had been recruited in to.

“Well,” Angelica couldn’t help but give an almost apologetic grin, for…that was kind of how things were sometimes. “I mean. I think they can like…sense that we’ve got magic or something, I really don’t know, my experience is about the same, though mine stuck around for like, a little bit of time, it wasn't just here’s a pen bye, but…”
The grin was apologetic this time and she reached up to rub the back of her head. “...I will admit I didn’t pay much attention to what she was saying, and I think that’s why I lost my way for so long, but when I got upgraded, yeah it was like that. A cat was like wow give me your pen I have a present for you, and I got more power out of it so…if a cat ever asks you for your pen now...”
Angelica paused for effect. “It should mean that you’re going to be getting stronger, which…I hope you do! We could really kick butt then.”

"Sounds like we need to shake down a cat. If they can magic up a pen and a phone, surely they an magic up a pamphlet or something. Ugh. Or at least pre-install an 'Introduction to Your New Magical Girl Life' app." Not that she really fiddled around much with that phone to see what all might be there. Really, she wasn't that great with technology, despite having a couple youtube channels. "You know, they say 'with great power comes great responsibility' buuuuuut so far I haven't really found anything to be responsible for. Sure, there's those monsters you hear about, but I haven't really actually seen one. Granted, I'm kinda busy and don't get out and about much after dark~" Steins rambled. She hadn't had much of anyone to talk about this magic stuff with. Sure, she had told Dom all about it, what little she knew to tell, but he didn't know anything about it, and she really hadn't felt safe enough to tell anyone else she knew - not even her boyfriend! Well, soon-to-be ex. It was complicated. Things were a little awkward. She really should get to that, but meeting up with New Magical Bestie was pretty important too. Especially if she could learn more.

Angelica laughed. “I’ll keep an eye out, um. There are cats who have been brought into chaos, so like, obviously feel it out first, if the star on its head is dark, that’s not a good sign, and if it feels…wrong? Kind of slimy and not great…that’s…an even worse sign and at that point, it will most likely just lie to you or try to get you corrupted too so, there’s that.”
She chewed her lip. “There are bad people out there. I like to attack them. Most of them will attack you without warning too, and others will try to get on your good side, again to get you to corrupt…or they’ll sweet talk you and get you to have a super big crush on them and then will be like, tee hee actually I have a girlfriend!”
Scoffing, Angelica tugged on the hem of her skirt, making sure that it was straight. “We have like. Worlds too, but I’ve never gone to mine. That’s what the home button on your phone is for. It’s like…the planet or comet or asteroid or whatever you’re named for…we get to go there and see them and all that. So…honestly. One of these days I’m going to do that but…today is not that day.”

Bad kitties? ow that was sad! It wasn't the first time she'd heard the word 'Chaos' used to describe the wrong, icky-feeling things. And it made sense, she supposed, that there would be people who were part of it too. Oh, she'd met a couple of those, hadn't she? Well, luky for her things turned out okay. Walking and talking and oooh, there sounded like some tea to be spilt~ "Ooooooh, sounds like someone's got a story~ Wanna rant?" Home worlds? Steins almost missed it in her eagerness for tea. "So like, going in to space? NASA would s**t themselves."

Angelica gave a spectacular sigh. “Well, look there’s a crop of senshi who are like…mirror senshi? You can tell them because they have like…see through gauzy things over their black outfits, anyway. Sappho was one of them. Is one of them. So I just punch them all for good measure since she was such a jerk. It makes me feel better, might make you feel better too! And, yeah that’s how I understand it. I tell you what, I’ll figure out what mine’s like and maybe I can take you? If you’d want to see what…you know. Spruce Space looks like. I hope that it smells good.”
…It would be a waste of a good sphere if it didn’t smell good.

"Well, I guess punching people is one way to deal with them~" Steins could think of more subtle and longer-lasting methods of making jerks wish they hadn't crossed her, but that would be a horrible mususe of greenhouse space. "I'm not sure a punch from me would do much though!" She laughed. She was Tiny-and-not-quite-so-mighty, even with the boost in speed and strength that she'd noticed while all magic-ed up. "That sounds like a plan - spruce the place up a bit! Goodness, I can't even imagine what my world would be like.... Maybe Tim Burton on drugs...."

“Well, I also take their breath away with my magic so, there’s that too! And I hope that you’ll take me to your Tim Burton Wonderland someday too, and I will definitely spruce the place up. Oh my god, Steins. You’re too much.”
Angelica couldn’t stop herself from laughing and shook her head. “Do you have anymore pressing questions or do you want to give up this patrol and go grab something to eat? I can answer questions as my normal self too, and might be able to do it better if my stomach is full!”
It wasn’t flirting. This wasn’t. Flirting. This was just. Friendship. That was all.
Angelica wasn’t going to make that mistake again. Not so soon, at least.

"Nice one!" Steins chuckled a bit, "My parents always said I had a gift for talking! I guess the wit comes with it!" Which was also probably why they smoked so much of the weed while raising her... While Steins had hoped to gain more information, she also knew when it seemed like the well of knowledge was going dry - she'd just have to get out there and shake down a kitty, or another senshi. Then she'd come back with all the deets! Knowledge is power, after all! "Well, no questions that wouldn't land us in a pit of existential dread," she shrugged, "Food sounds good!" She hadn't thought to grab anything before leaving to come here, in part because she was used to waiting until pretty late to make dinner. Dom Pulled some long evenings, especially when there were evening visitations. Sometimes he didn't get done until 8 or 9, and cooking together had become one of the many things that they'd bonded over.

“I do know more things, I promise I do, I’m just too hungry to think.”
…Because that made total sense. Still though. Angelica glanced around before she powered down and then gave a slight bow just…because it had felt right. “Indiana at your service. I know of a great pizza place a few blocks away, and if you don’t like pizza, you just tell me what you do like and we can go!”
And plan another meet up, she hoped. And tomorrow…well. Tomorrow she’d go and check out Angelica the place. After that? She could really spruce it up and invite her friend there with her and…life would be good.
“Anyway, just let me know what you want and we’ll do it!”

Like past poor choice in boyfriends. That...may have been a different kind of hunger though....
Likewise, she powered down and introduced herself, "Amaranth, professional pixie princess~" she gave a laugh.
Working amongst the flowers really did make her feel like a fairy. Not to mention her Mori-girl, cottage-core garb with just a hint of 'former goth kid' in there really added to the vibe.
"Piza sounds great! Let's go!"
