Hidden Slumber & Nightmare


Two villages in one. One side of the village is the small peaceful side where the people there sleep about 19 hours a day. The rest of the day is used to talk and possibly train. A lot of the time is free time and is spent sleeping anyway. Hidden Slumber does not care what the other side does simply because they are always sleeping. Their side of the village can't be invaded by the other people because of the barrier they have developed to protect themselves. This village can often be described like Hidden Emotions, but on the other side of town is a darker and seedier half.

Hidden Nightmare is a village that resides in the middle of an old shinobi battlefield, which is a rather desolate wasteland. The wasteland itself has poisonous mists that hover around the village, from many poison gas bombs that were once used in battle. A man named Zant and his assistant known as Doctor Mengel founded this village recently, only a decade ago. The village is home to hundred of thousands of criminals, missing nin, and the common thieves. The village resides on a social hierarchy, based on criminal status. The villagers that have no criminal status, were originally from captured and destroyed villages, and have been altered through complicated forbidden jutsus under the good Doctor. Only two clans exist due to the high mortality rate of Doctor Mengel’s experiments; these two clans were the only successful experiments to make it past the experimental stage. Due to the village being made up of criminals, only a select people may enter this side of the village to learn it’s deadly techniques. The people who have access to the village in and out are first missing ninjas, then the villagers who were part of Doctor Mengel’s experiments, and third are Kages, due to the fact that they are strong enough to hold back the criminals, and ninjas who have at least 75,000 skill points. Any others who are not strong enough will be killed or tied up and returned to their home village severely injured, probably missing their arms or legs.

Social Ranks:: The social ranks are non important, except the only notable thing is a missing nin can become Kage of the village without having to take the exams, if their skill points are high enough and the Moderators accept them as being worthy. Needs 100% Mod Approval. Also, the Kage does control the village but they work for Doctor Mengel and Zant (NPCs). If the Kage leaves the village, he cannot switch to be Kage of some other village, even if it has no members.

Otherwise, the social ranks are based on criminal status and where you are from and what you did. It goes in this order.

Zant and Doctor Mengel (NPCs) – Absolute Rulers
Nightmare Kage – Leader of Village
Missing Nin- Highest Possible Non Leader Rank
Gaho Clan- Second Highest Non Leader Rank
Criminals (NPCs)- Third Highest Non Leader Rank
Twili Clan- Servants

::Clans::

Gaho Clan- This clan is gifted with artificial hands. In Doctor Mengel’s experiments, they swore loyalty to darkness, and were granted the less painful experiment, in which there hands were cut off. They were then given artificially hands that link to their nervous system. The hands they possess can be taken off and replaced with other artificial hands to be used as weapons. An examples of a handset are ones in which the fingertips have shot needles and the fingers are filled with poison. When the needle penetrated the opponent’s skin, the poison will be injected into the blood stream.

Twili Clan- The servant clan, which is the most common clan of the village, usually every household has a member that works for them. They were Doctor Mengel’s experiment when he used a DNA altering jutsu only know to him. He believed how they acted rebelliously to when they entered the operating table that they were like animals. In exchange, he altered their DNA giving them white animal pointed ears with black tips on the sides of their head, and white with black tips fox-like tails. They are known for using a jutsu that allows them to shrink.

Rasui Clan- The only clan that is known to exist in Hidden Slumber. This clan is one that exists only in the power of dreams. They are capable of manipulating and controlling the world of Dreams into anything they choose. Making those that sleep near by capable of dealing with anything from an intense nightmare to a peaceful dream with ease. The Rasui clan are not well known, and tend to remain in their homes until nightfall, they move around the village almost like that of phantoms. Taking after The Sandman who is their main idea behind their powers, the Rasui clan specialize in putting people to sleep, and dream manipulation. The Rasui clan have a secret ability, which allows them to conjure and use a specialized weapon within their dreams.

Zant, The Torturer


Poison Attachment - 1800 Chakra ( Taijutsu techniques apply [ Poison ] | [ Poison ] = Intelligence + 5 HP damage per post. Damage stacks for each additional application of [ Poison ], adding an additional +5 per consecutive hit | [ Poison ] lasts for 3 posts, reset on successful attack. ) A type of hand modification that causes the clan member to be able to have their fingertips have short needles and the fingers filled with poison. When the needle penetrates the opponent’s skin, the poison will be injected into the blood stream. This poison partially paralyzes the opponent, little by little. The more poison in the blood stream, the more paralyzed the opponent will get.

Flame Attachment - 2400 Chakra ( Intelligence + ½ Spirit Fire Damage | If used for three posts in a row: Damage increases to Intelligence + Spirit, and then Flame Attachment is destroyed until combat ends. ) A type of hand modification that causes the clan member to be able to open their finger tips and shoot out streams of fire about ten feet from their hands towards the opponent, these small streams are hot enough to melt through the average metal. But cannot be used constantly or else the fingers themselves may melt.

Tazer Attachment - 1600 Chakra ( Intelligence + ½ Spirit Lightning Damage | -1 Acton on the opponent's response post to this attack; if they are hit. ) A type of hand modification that causes the clan member to be able to send minor electrical currents through the opponent's body upon contact. These electrical currents are up to par with the common low level tazer, it doesn't have the ability to fully knock someone out, but it is capable of leaving harsh burns on open skin.

Blade Attachment - 3000 Chakra ( Adds Intelligence +20 Damage to Taijutsu techniques | Applies [ Bleed ] at 10 Damage per post; until the bleeding is dealt with in some way. ) A type of hand modification that causes the clan member to be able to summon blade like appendages out of the tips of their fingers, as well as give a cheese grater effect to the back of their hands and their palms. This attachment allows for adding extra damage to taijutsu strikes because of the retractable blades on the fingers. When retracted, the blades can emerge from the knuckles in order to damage during normal punches. The blades are only three inches long.

Shield Attachment - 1500 Chakra ( Defense + ½ Intelligence ) A type of arm modification that causes the clan member to be able to cause a hidden shield placed on one or both arms, to flip out and unfold in a circle style pattern in order to defend against attacks. This shield is layered in chakra, making them capable of blocking direct attacks, but wide range attacks will not be able to be blocked.

Hook and Wire Attachment - 2500 Chakra ( Intelligence + ½ Speed Damage and Attack Speed | Wires are immediately destroyed by Pure Chakra techniques ) A type of hand modification that causes the clan member to be able to launch their fingers outwards as if they were fishing line. The wires attached to the palms are highly durable, with chakra coating them in order to make them impossible to break by normal weapons, but not by chakra based attacks. Each finger tip has a pronged hook which can easily dig into the opponent's body or other surfaces. This is used to snare opponent's into place, or for special styles of movement.

Quick Exchange Upgrade - 2000 Chakra ( Speed + ½ Intelligence added to the attack speed of the swapped into attachment. ) An upgrade to the normal attachment ports of the wrists. This allows the clan member to be able to quickly switch between attachments on the fly, by simply concealing their hands in some way, in order to allow the change to happen. Without concealing the change, the functions of the attachments could be revealed, or even malfunction because of this.

Dual Wield Upgrade - 4000 Chakra ( Adds +1 Action specifically for Attachments | Attachments attack with Speed +20 additional attack speed ) An upgrade to the normal attachment ports of the wrists. This allows the clan member to be able to wield two different attachments at the same time. One for each hand.


[ N ] Multiple Finger Whips - 2000 Chakra ( Spirit +20 Damage | Spirit vs Opponent's Mental Defense: As a form of torture ) This technique forces chakra out of the user, causing a slightly long whip of chakra to come out of his or her fingers, 1 for each finger. This technique can be used as a attack, or used to torture the opponent into giving information if they are unable to move.

[ N ] Shock Therapy - 1700 Chakra ( Spirit + 10 Lightning Damage | Can use additional actions: Every Action adds ( Spirit +10 ) x2 to the damage of the technique and costs 3400 additional each action added. ) This technique causes a small amount of chakra to be generated into one of the user's hand. If the opponent is touched, they will experience a 15 Volt shock. Each time this technique is reactivated, the voltage will go up 15 Volts, making it a bit more painful. At the start, 15 volts is pretty much going to make them uncomfortable, not doing any serious damage, but when it is used multiple times it becomes unbearable, but the downside to to this strategy is that it wastes a lot of chakra to get it to a high enough level, but it can be very painful.


Doctor Mengel, The Mad Scientist


[ G ] Instructor Genjutsu - 2200 Chakra ( Resolve +20 vs Opponent's Mental Defense ) Doctor Mengel created this jutsu based on the idea that people will go along with something even though they know it’s wrong if a leader is pressuring them to. When used, it makes the user seem like an instructor to the opponent, and makes his commands seem like they must be done or they will be defeated. It takes a strong mind to overcome this jutsu.

[ G ] Headless Genjutsu - 1900 Chakra ( Resolve + 15 vs Opponent's Mental Defense ) This technique forces the opponent to feel as if their head has been chopped off. They will then see the field as their body standing there with no head, and they are looked at everything from the ground. They can still control their body in this genjutsu and their head is still on, even though they see and feel as if it isn’t.

[ G ] Operating Pain - 2400 Chakra ( Resolve +20 vs Opponent's Mental Defense | Must be used on a motionless target laying on a flat surface ) This technique can only be activated when the opponent cannot move and they are laying on the ground. The user then places their hand on the opponent’s head, and forces them to see themselves tied up on an operating table. The user then in this genjutsu can do whatever operation or experiment they like on the opponent, and can last up to six hours in the opponents mind. The technique only lasts five minutes though and can cause the target to go insane after releasing the technique.


[ N ] Shadow Beast Creation - 6000 Chakra ( Automatically ends all Shadow/Darkness Jutsu in area: Makes everything act as if it's completely lit with Light | Shadow Beast's Stats = Spirit + 40 + 10 per every Shadow / Darkness technique canceled. It's HP = 300 + 50 for every Shadow/Darkness technique canceled. | If Evil Alignment: Shadow Beast gains 2 actions for itself and follows all commands // If Neutral or Good Alignment: Shadow Beast gains 1 action, and follows instructions for 5 posts before attacking the user and vanishing | Light, Fire, Lightning Jutsu all deal Double Damage to the Shadow Beast ) This technique causes all the shadows/dark energy in the area to merge together to form a beast made of shadows, that reflects the user's soul. If the user is evil, they will have no problem controlling it, while if the user is good at heart, they will be able to control it for several minutes, after that point the beast may then turn on their partner or join the bad side while it is activated. The shadow beast can be destroyed automatically with either light jutsu, fire jutsu, or lightning jutsu, even if the technique used against it misses it's mark.

[ N ] Shadow Beast Merging - 8000 Chakra [ Requires Kage Rank or Higher ] ( Deal's the difference in HP between the Shadow Beast and User per post. | Adds Shadow Beast's Stats to the User, including it's remaining HP upon activation, and creates a secondary HP used for the remainder of combat | The User dies as soon as the Shadow Beast drains their original HP. If Evil they may continue fighting until the fight is over, or their new HP is depleted. If Neutral or Good aligned, they may continue for 5 more posts and then immediately die.) This technique causes the Shadow Beast to merge with the user, making a slight armor over the user. It slightly boosts the attack also. The user is then killed under the pressure of the Shadow Armor but even after their soul descends to the Afterlife, they can still fight until the end.

[ N ] Spark of the Grand Death Fire - 4400 Chakra [ Requires Jounin Rank & 100,000 Chakra or more ] ( Spirit + ½ Total Stats Fire Damage | Applies [ Endless Burn ] = ½ Total Damage every 2 posts ) The user creates a small black flame on his index finger. When he touches an object, it will catch on fire, and slowly start to burn everything around it. Unlike normal fires, this fire cannot be destroyed except by the death of the user who activated the jutsu or a hand seal to deactivate the flames issued from the user. It was meant for destroying large amounts of land, even though it spreads slowly.

[ N ] Grand Death Fire Ball - 5000 Chakra [ Requires Spark of Grand Death Fire ] ( Attack Speed -25 | Spirit + ½ Intelligence + ½ Resolve Fire Damage | Applies [ Endless Burn ] = ½ Total Damage every 2 posts. ) The user sucks in a large amount of air and then shots a fireball made out of black fire at the opponent. Functions similar to the Spark of Grand Death Fire, except is slightly less powerful due to the extra chakra placed into the technique in order to expand the deadly flames.

Zane Twili, The Servant


[ N ] Size-Reduction Jutsu - Free ( Passive: When size is reduced; Opponent's Perception -15, Speed +15, Reaction +15 ) This technique allows the user to be able to shrink their body to smaller sizes or back to their normal size at will.

[ T ] Micro-Kinetic Fist Style - 2100 Chakra ( Speed +10 | Strength + ½ Speed Damage ) By shrinking their body or limbs down in an instant, they can condense the kinetic force of their attacks into a stronger force than it normally would be. Resulting in stronger attacks against an opponent that would be higher than the normal attack of a shinobi of standard size.

[ N ] Shrink no Jutsu - 1800 Chakra ( Reaction +15 ) A stylized technique used to allow for the clan member to more easily dodge an opponent's incoming attacks with ease, through using their Size-Reduction Jutsu to shrink their bodies to smaller and harder to hit sizes.

[ K ] Surprise Projectiles - 2000 Chakra ( Opponent's Perception -10 | Strength + ½ Speed Damage ) After shrinking their bodies, they can throw a series of shrunk weapons at their opponent that will suddenly enlarge upon getting within range in order to surprise an opponent with a sudden series of ranged projectiles.

[ G ] Size-Reduction Technique: Targeted Genjutsu - 3000 Chakra ( Resolve + ½ Speed vs Opponent's Mental Defense | Opponent's Perception -15 on Success ) A secret technique used by the Twili clan that consists of the simple act of convincing the opponent that they had been shrunk to a small size just like the Twili clan are capable of doing. Effectively throwing the opponent's senses off, while they are in fact still the same size that they normally would be outside of the effects of the Genjutsu.


[ N ] Partner Summoning Jutsu - 1000 Chakra ( Costs 1 Action: Designated Ally is summoned to directly beside the user and gains a +10 Speed buff for the turn. | They must post immediately following the technique's use. ) This technique has special requirement to activate. First, to activate it you must write your name with blood on your partner’s arm, and if wanted, visa-versa. Then, if the user and partner are in separate parts of the village, but one of them needs help, they can use this jutsu to call their partner to their side instantly, to help them fight.

[ T ] New Found Hope - 5000 Chakra [ Requires 30 Taijutsu, 15 Kenjutsu and Jounin Rank ] ( When HP reaches 0: Can continue fighting using Mental HP. When Mental HP reaches 0, user is officially dead. | Requires 1 Action per post to maintain this technique. | Can add +50 to the Damage or Speed of attacks, at the cost of 50 HP ) This technique is a taijutsu in which the user is dying on the ground, and has too little strength to get up, they are giving themselves the hope to stand up and fight, because the user is still dying, they are destroying their entire body structure with each step that they take.

[ N ] Lullaby - 1000 Chakra ( Spirit + ½ Resolve vs Opponent's Mental Defense | If Success: Opponent is [ Asleep ] | [ Asleep ] = Opponent enters an immediate dream-state. If they are touched, injured, or effected in any way outside of the Dreams, they will immediately awaken. | The user can also succumb to the technique if they choose to. ) By manipulating their chakra into their surroundings, the user creates an atmosphere of peacefulness and calm that resonates however the effected would most likely be placed into a sleep state. Either by song, soothing noise, soft scents, etc.

[ N ] Nightmare Terror - 1600 Chakra [ Requires Lullaby ] ( Opponent must be [ Asleep ] | Transforms the User into a Fear the Opponent has. | Resolve +15 additional Damage to attacks made in this form. ) By manipulating the subconscious mind of the opponent, the user can assume the form of their greatest fear in order to further damage the opponent in the dream world.

[ T ] Dreams Fist - 2000 Chakra [ Requires Lullaby ] ( Opponent must be [ Asleep ] | Strength + ½ Resolve Damage ) A style of Taijutsu that makes the impossible possible. The user is free from restrictions and can make their body a pure fighting machine.

[ T ] Dream's Balance - 3000 Chakra [ Requires Lullaby ] ( Opponent must be [ Asleep ] | Defense + Resolve + 20 | Can add 3000 Chakra to cost, and increase the Defense by an additional 30, endlessly. | Can only be used Once per battle ) A technique that creates a pure defense. This attack can stop any attack by appearing as if they had simply extended a hand to stop, or knock away the entire attack in question.

[ N ] Dream Shield - 800 Chakra [ Requires Lullaby ] ( While [ Asleep ]: Shield Defense = Defense + ( Remaining Chakra / 500 ) | This shield is only for their sleeping body, if the user awakens then the shield ends. ) Creates a Thick outer casing of chakra around the user's body while they are sleep.

[ N ] Dream Wave - 3000 Chakra [ Requires Lullaby ] ( Spirit + ½ Resolve vs Opponent's Mental Defense | Connects everyone effected by Lullaby into the Same Dreamscape ) Through expert chakra manipulation, the user can connect all those that have been put asleep to the same Dream. Allowing them all to see and meet each other in the dream world.

[ N ] Dream Controller - 1000 Chakra [ Requires Lullaby ] ( Passive: Perception +10 while in the Dream World ) Allows the user to manipulate and control the dream world that they are in.

[ N ] Dream Puff - 700 Chakra [ Requires Lullaby ] ( Spirit + ½ Resolve x25 Chakra drained from Opponent. ) A small ball of chakra that once it connects with opponent it drains chakra.

[ N ] Dream Blossoms - 2400 Chakra [ Requires Lullaby ] ( Defense + ½ Resolve | Reaction +10 ) Causes multiple cherry blossoms to fall from the sky. These blossoms will form and attempt to block three attacks. After the three attacks the blossoms will scatter and fly off firing like kunais.

[ N ] Day Dream - 3000 Chakra [ Requires Lullaby and all above techniques in Hidden Nightmare ] ( Allows Hidden Nightmare techniques to be used in the real world. ) Through expert mastery of the dreamscape, the shinobi can extend their abilities outwards and actually begin to effect the waking world as well.

[ N ] Dreams Reality - [ Requires Lullaby and all above techniques in Hidden Nightmare ] ( Opponent must be [ Asleep ] | Damage applied in Dreams effects normal HP instead of Mental HP. This works for both User and all others in the Dream ) A technique that causes all damage in the Dreams to manifest in reality.

[ N ] Dreamer's Dust - 2000 Chakra ( Spirit + Resolve vs Opponent's Mental Defense | After 3 posts, the Opponent becomes [ Asleep ] ) A single target variation of Lullaby that has a slower activation rate in order to allow a more seamless transition into the dream world. A technique that allows for a dust to be created from the clan member's chakra in order to be thrown into the face of the opponent. If inhaled it causes the opponent to fall asleep within three of their posts.

[ N ] Untouchable - 5000 Chakra ( Opponent must be [ Asleep ] | Reaction +50 | Lasts for 2 posts, and cannot be used again for 8 posts. ) A technique that allows for the clan member to appear as if all physical attacks miss them, no matter how they are swung. This is done through a fine manipulation of the Dream World.

[ T ] Nightmares Fist - 4000 Chakra [ Requires Dreams Fist and Nightmare Terror ] ( Opponent must be [ Asleep ] | Damage Dealt = Strength + Resolve | Speed +15 ) A style of Taijutsu that makes the impossible possible. It causes the opponent to believe that the clan member is actually their biggest fear. Giving them the belief that every attack by the opponent, is actually a similar attack caused by their Worst Nightmare and further cementing the fear that the opponent has.

[ N ] Constant Healing - 6000 Chakra ( All Damage dealt is dealt to the Opposite HP pool. | If damage is taken in dream world: Normal HP is lost. If Damage is taken in the real world: Mental HP is lost. ) A technique only able to be used in the Dream World. It causes the clan member to be able to rise up from even the most serious injuries, as their body repairs itself of all damage. Although in the Waking World, the body has sustained the damage instead.

[ T ] Dream Elemental Fist - 800 Chakra ( Opponent must be [ Asleep ] | Strength + ½ Resolve [ Element ] Damage | The Element can be chosen, but cannot be the same element on the following post if this is maintained. ) A style of Taijutsu that causes the clan member to be able to momentarily effect their opponent with an element of their choice with each strike. These elements do not continue to work, they only effect during the strike itself, and stop instantaneously afterward.

[ G ] Peaceful Sleep - 2000 Chakra ( Resolve +20 vs Opponent's Mental Defense ) A technique that causes the opponent to believe that they are in a peaceful dream. If used during a fight it causes the opponent to believe that they are winning the fight, and have no sustained any damage, despite the damage they have truly taken.

[ G ] Sleepless Night - 2000 Chakra ( Resolve +20 vs Opponent's Mental Defense ) A technique that causes the opponent to believe that they are in a serious nightmare. If used during a fight it causes the opponent to believe that they are taking both sides of the damage. Both what they get from the opponent, and what they give to the opponent simultaneously.

[ K ] Sword Mastery - 4000 Chakra ( Opponent must be [ Asleep ] | Strength + ½ Resolve Damage | Can use any Kenjutsu technique the opponent knows, at 2x the cost of the technique. ) A Kenjutsu technique that can only be used in the Dream World. It causes the clan member to appear as if their Kenjutsu abilities are far superior to the abilities of their opponent. This allows them to be able to use any Kenjutsu technique that the opponent has, at double the cost.

Dream Intolerant - 500 Chakra ( Passive: While in the Dream World: Perception +10, Defense +10, Speed +10 ) A passive technique that allows the clan member to be unaffected by the things that they cause to happen in the Dream World. This does not prevent actual damage to the body itself. It actually makes it appear as if they are stronger than they normally would be, outside of the Dream World.

Dream Weapon - 4000 Chakra ( Can only be used in the Dream World | Opponent must be [ Asleep ] | Strength + Resolve Damage | Resolve +10 vs Opponent's Mental Defense: On Success the Opponent's Reaction -10 | ½ Damage dealt is dealt to the normal HP instead of Mental HP ) The Rasui Clan's secret ability. This is a weapon created from their subconscious and can only be used in the Dream World. This weapon can take any form that the clan member wishes and is capable of bending the reality of the dream with a single slash. This weapon when used will actually make anything behind it as far as terrain stretch towards it when swung, causing the entire back drop to warp and cause a sickening effect to the opponent's line of sight for a moment. When this weapon strikes it is capable of causing serious damage to the opponent, although only half the damage can transfer over to the real body.
