So far, everything was working out as Lysithea had hoped. Getting up to her Homeworld had been easy enough, and the sitting on and holding the plastic container which held all of her supplies had gone as perfectly as she had thought it would, though now the only real issue was going to be figuring out how to really set up the tent, and where to set it up. Obviously the first place she thought of was under her tree, but…that might have the unwelcome intrusion of the little cricket creatures…as well as the bird…the bats?
Hm. Perhaps a more sturdy tent might have been better for this, or actually bringing someone up with her to face the…critters.
At least they didn’t seem to be awful critters…nothing with fangs or claws. Yet.
Hopefully though, she would be lucky enough not to get any bears on Lysithea…Lysithea clearly didn’t need any bears. It was perfect just as it was, and while she knew predators were…necessary to keep nature in balance…
They would make it difficult to camp alone!
Thankfully, the tent wasn’t difficult to put up at all, and it seemed sturdy enough, popping out like one of those children's play tunnels she had seen online. If camping was going to be this easy, heck, she’d simply do it more often.
The hard part of her day over, Lysithea slipped the container into the tent, both to keep it out of the way and to weigh the tent down as she hadn’t put any pegs into the ground or anything…it hadn’t really seemed necessary when there wasn’t much wind to speak of today.
Pleased that she had her camp set up, maybe not perfectly, but enough that she had a shelter to come back to, Lysithea set off, eager to explore a little.
She hadn’t done this yet…not that she could remember, at least. It felt rather exciting. Setting off to really explore her world and not just use it for a safe spot to talk or hold meetings with people…it was more than that and she could see that…and now that she was allowing herself time to really see it, she was excited.
Picking a random direction, Lysithea walked for a while, walked until she came upon what must once have been a very large, very impressive building. There were still walls in tact, and the stones were white, and she supposed it was marble or something like it. Lysithea wasn’t very good at knowing different types of rocks but…marble seemed a sensible choice.
Most of the windows were broken, and one of the walls had half fallen, with scattered stones of various sizes littering the ground.
There was a lovely large stained glass window in the front that remained, beautiful and shining in the light. A woman with silvery white hair, a small, purple unicorn horn and a lovely purple dress by the looks of it. She held what looked like the baton that Lysithea herself had, a slim, purple unicorn horn.
She was beautiful, the craftsmanship of the window was beautiful.
Lysithea ended up staring at it for longer than she had anticipated, and she was so enchanted by how the glass seemed to twinkle, that when she heard a sudden voice to her left, she nearly jumped out of her skin.
Turning swiftly, Lysithea saw her. The woman in the window.
She looked…almost ghost like, and that was when she realized that this must be a memory of…
Of her past.. Like her distant past, not just Cambria.
Upon closer look, the woman’s outfit was a slightly different, dated looking version of her own fuku, with long, full skirts that reached the ground. Still in three tiers though, and in similar colors, though this Lysithea seemed to favor a teal and a pastel pink compared with her own…
It was pretty.
The wings perched on her hips were nearly the same, and so was the bodice, though the sleeves were very long and belled out, showing just the tips of her fingers when her arms were down. It was a lovely look, that was for sure, though…the tiara that sat on her head was different, and the unicorn horn…it was…
Well. It was a part of her, and the tail that hung down gracefully was…
Well it was indeed a tail, that was for sure.
”Oh Peony, the delegations from Promethei and Roka will be here soon enough and I’m quite sure that I’m going to be busy for the rest of the day, so we might as well get our morning ride done now, don’t you think?”
She placed a pale hand against the neck of a bright white unicorn that whickered and shook it’s head, almost seeming to agree. Her horn and hooves were a bright silver and her eyes were a light purple, the same color as the horn on Lysithea’s head.
“Thankfully Malus will be here tomorrow so that means we’ll at least have a friend. Ugh, he needs to come more often, though I hope his visit now doesn’t mean he’s gotten hurt again, what do you think?”
Lysithea gave a rich chuckle and swung herself up on to the unicorn’s back, leaning down to bury her face in the silky blue and silver mane. “Come on, my Peony. Let’s ride while we can!
As the vision faded, Lysithea couldn’t help but stare in the direction that the other Lysithea had ridden off into…it.
That was a lot to take in, honestly. What did she mean about the…Promethei and Roka delegations? That…what?
And there really had been unicorns here. Real big unicorns…and…
Reaching up, Lysithea ran a hand over the horn that adorned her tiara, thoughtful.
Once upon a time it had been real that…that was interesting, to say the least but.
As her stomach rumbled, the amount of time that had passed became real, and Lysithea started, shaking her head to clear it of any remaining ghosts before taking one last look at the stained glass window of her past self. With a small smile, she turned to head back to her base camp.
While she walked, she sent a quick text to Malus.
Quote:
We knew each other in the past, I’m pretty sure. I just had a vision of the former Lysithea talking to her unicorn and saying that Malus would be here tomorrow…I love that you were my friend in all of the lives I know.
With that message sent, and the tent in sight, Lysithea turned her mind onto something even more important.
What she was going to have for dinner.
