The Noises (9) : There’s a noise somewhere around you and you don’t know where it’s coming from, or what it is. Maybe it’s the sound of something otherwise normal–glasses clinking, someone walking, a clock chiming–except, it doesn’t belong there. It’s a common noise, it just has no source. Or, maybe it’s something scarier–a whisper, a scratch, and wail. The noises come and go without any apparent source. It’s constant. For minutes, or hours, or days. And then, it stops, with no explanation, and that’s almost as scary as when it started.
Today was such a beautiful fall day, she had watched the leaves falling from the trees outside the bakery shop window all day. The falling leaves were a rainbow of fall colors - from orange hues to red hues to beautiful piles on the ground. Everything about today felt so magical and she couldn't believe Halloween was really over. Part of her thought the holiday went by way too expedient this year. While that thought made her feel some sort of way, she was excited about the holidays that were to come next. Just the thought of new baking adventures made her smile.
As she walked out the door she decided she would take one last stroller downtown before they took out all the scarecrows. Since she was sure that they would look beautiful in this day's light. Then it all changed when she heard a noise one that sounded like a circus or fair or something?!? Yet she knew there wasn't any in town right now. Was this a trap by the chaos to lure innocents into their grasp?
She knew time was of the essence in this case. So she quickly rushed into an alleyway she saw just nearby to change. Since she needed to be prepared for whatever that sound may lead her to. Even the worst case scenario.

Dreama had been in the area, when she too heard the noise. Odd. She quickly hid in an alley and transformed. Then as Teri (Terpsichore), she started making her way toward the sound as fast as she could, and running to a good friend along the way.
Mira quickly ran out of the alleyway nearby and raced towards the direction she had heard the noise. She completely ignored the cold weather around her. Her only goal right now was to get to that noise. Nothing was going to stop her not even the temperature.
As she got closer she could hear what sounded like elephants and a Ferris wheel? but she couldn't pinpoint the location at least not yet. Then all of the sudden she noticed another order was gaining on her. She turned around in the direction she could hear them coming, "Hello? Who's there?" she questioned getting prepared to fight just in case her senses were wrong and it was chaos instead.

Teri stopped for a moment. Was that... Mira?
"Mira, is that you?" She waited for an answer. "It's me, Teri."
She breathed a sigh of relief when she recognized the voice coming her way. "Teri! It's great to see you again," she said happily before continuing, "did you come for the noises too?"
For some reason, even with her friend here now, those noises were still playing over and over in her head. Even if for the moment they had disappeared. She waited patiently ready at a moment's notice to head towards the noises again. She was going to find their location and stop whatever they were planning.

"Mira! It's great to see you too. Yeah, I heard them too..." Teri admitted. "What are they supposed to be anyways? I've not heard them before... not where I've come from."
She was anxious. Had they been hearing things? The loud ruckus had stopped for the moment.
Why did it seem that only the two of them could hear it anyways?
"Well glad I'm at least not crazy," Mira said with a slight laugh. It was comforting knowing her friend could hear them too. For a second she thought maybe she had just lost her mind on this beautiful fall day.
"From what I've heard so far it sounded like a circus. They have animals they show off like elephants and sometimes Ferris wheels. It's a huge event normally, which is why I'm a little worried I can't seem to find it," she said as she looked around trying to find the noise once more.
That was when it hit her ears but this time the noise was out of a nightmare. she could hear creepy clown laughs and horrible screeching like from a bird. She quickly covered her ears with her hands and said, "please tell me you can hear that?"

"Well!" Teri said, after a moment. "I'm never going to a Circus as a civilian now!"
She had a horrified look on her face. What was wrong with people that they'd put something like that together?
Finally, Mira could hear the noises die down into nothing. It was as if the circus was saying its final farewells in a way that left her in horror. Why couldn't she hear normal things for once? Though something inside her told her they were gone. At least gone for now anyways. Who knew when they might be back?
She put on a smile as her ears and head were still ringing. "I totally understand, and I agree it's a little unique, to say the least. I've never been to one just seen them in movies myself." Now that she thought of it she really had never been to one before. Which seemed weird since they always came to town at least once a year.
"Well good news is I think those noises are gone for now," she said with a sigh of relief, "so no more circus noises today thank goodness."

Teri tried to listen for more 'Circus Sounds', but nothing. "Agreed," Teri said. "Time for Victory Sweets instead?" She asked hopefully. "Or maybe we should call them something else - since we didn't really battle anything?"
After a moment, she offered, "Ather that, we Dance? Or I can do a Dance Show for you?"
Mira laughed but was happy to hear they had a special thing they did like that. Honestly, this was the first Senshi friend she had had in a while. It was nice having friends like this and ones she could celebrate the wins with. Just that thought made her happy.
"I think victory sweets works since the sounds being gone is a victory for me," she said truly happy the sounds had disappeared. even though they didn't really have any answers. "Oh, I'd love to see a Dance show that sounds like fun," she said happily as she suddenly remembered a beautiful place nearby that had a table.
"You know what I think I know the perfect place for our treats and dance. Follow me!" she said as she turned to head towards a nearby open grass area near the river with a beautiful wood-carved picnic table.
