Talia kept thinking about the fact that Malus and Adria had said that whatever they had done had been…different...and now she wanted to know how it was different, and for some reason, the first person that she thought of asking was Ahri. He was the last one that they had purified, and though she had absolutely no memory of it…he might have some…and right now…something was better than nothing.
Though, as she made her way to find the male, she realized that maybe it would have been easier to ask Zac…but he was at work right now…so she could just ask him afterwards.
“Ahri~ Do you have a few minutes to chat with me? Nothing bad, and I’ll even bake you something yummy if you want! I just…wanted to ask about your purification, and what you remember of it and…how it happened? I guess? We did something…court related when we were up on Alastor helping get rid of the chaos there, and both Malus and Adria said it was something different or new or…something…and…”
Drawing in a breath, Talia gave a sheepish grin, realizing she had begun to ramble yet again. “...I just wanted to know what you remember, and if you remember the court doing something and…what happened during the purification…I know you won’t remember everything…I get that I just…I’m feeling so curious.”

"Hmm??" Ahri said, looking away from his phone. His... purification? "Uuuh... Yeah. We can talk about it." It had been a few years ago.. and even still it all seemed to happen so fast.
"Honestly...We went to your planet. And... Well, we didn't do anything at first. I think we were all trying to psych ourselves up for it. Doing a youma purification was still... new to all of us, I think. I know I certainly didn't know much about it." He shrugged lightly. "You summoned... a wand.. thing and the next thing I knew... She was just there. Cosmos, I mean." He combed a hand through his hair, realizing now he was rambling. "As for me, personally... I remember being really scared. I'd never done anything like that, up until that point. Cosmos, was a new feeling itself too." He smiled sheepishly. "Kinda made my stomach flip." Which was an odd concept for a youma.
"What happened on Alastor? What was different."

Ah. So Cosmos had been a part of saving Ahri too, hm? That…well she supposed it made sense, but…if that was the case, why didn’t Cosmos just save the youma herself, why did she need to rely on a group of them…and in reverse…why did a whole group of people need to rely on Cosmos…it…
Honestly it seemed utterly inefficient.
Talia shook her head. “Um. No, she’s. She’s definitely something, that’s for sure. She was a lot for me too when I purified…though she had seemed relieved to see me…but um. As for what was different…” The smallest ghost of a smile twitched onto the woman’s face as she looked at Ahri. “...I have no idea, which is why I’m asking you, but…on Alastor…we kind of made this…protective…shield? And it…I don’t know. Moved outward and there were unicorns charging at the darkness…at the Chaos and…it…kind of beat it back? Malus and Adria said it was something they hadn’t ever seen before with the court.”

Ahri made a face. A shield? He definitely didn't remember that. "Yeah... We didn't do that. We just sort of... called out to her? She said something about answering a starseed... I... I was only 'around' for one other purification, and that was when my friends left the Negaverse. They told me I left before Cosmos arrived. Otherwise, I don't know how that differs from other purifications. I never really thought to ask anyone."
Perhaps he should have.
"I wish I was more help.” He felt like he was failing her. “Should we ask other courts? Or the uh, Code? Might know something about it?”

“Fair enough! No, Ahri, you’re plenty help, I know that this question was completely out of the blue and I appreciate you even trying to answer it.” Talia gave a little grin and then reached out, pulling the male into a hug, gentle at first and then squeezing him tightly. “I’m…I don’t know of any other courts, to be honest, and I’ve never interacted with the Code but, I’ll figure it out. I want to talk with my friend Alastor again…and then, maybe I’ll see if Cosmos wants to have a little chat with me.”
She was glad that he couldn’t see her face, for it wasn’t a pleasant look that crossed it with the thought of Cosmos. If she had helped before…why hadn’t she come when Lysithea had called for Ilse? Or, when Ilse had called for herself…or…
…Or any of the other times that Lysithea would have obviously needed her. When she was being corrupted, for instance.”
Talia sighed and squeezed the male a little tighter. “...I really am glad you’re here with us. You make me happy, and I hope you always know that.”

Ahri returned the hug, with a pat to the girls back. "I don't know any other courts either.." He admitted. "Though I might have a friend we could ask? He seems to be always talking to someone.. Perhaps we could start there?" Kerberos might know something... Or know someone who does. He hoped so anyway. If they could put feelers out, see if anyone had heard of anything... Maybe someone would get back to them. Maybe they could figure something out.
"I haven't really interacted with the code much either... I remember it briefly after... everything.. But that's the only time, I think..." Maybe he should be doing more... He wasn't really good at this. The male laughed somewhat awkwardly. "Well I'm glad I make someone happy. I must be doing something right."

Snorting, Talia shook her head. “Of course you’re doing something right, and you make a lot of people happy. This…this purifying s**t is really a learning curve and…we’ll get there. Both of us. It’s been starting from square one, only I have the memory of being human on the other side of things and you weren’t…that’s all.”
She kissed his cheek and drew away slightly. “We’ll get there, Ahri. I know we will, but, yeah! I’d love to talk with your friend or if you could ask him, I’d love that a lot, if there’s another court we can talk to…I’d. Really love that a lot. If there’s one thing I’ve really…gotten almost addicted to it…well. It sounds stupid but it’s just…knowing that I’m not alone in things, you know? Letting myself know and believe that things will all work out and that I have people who support me…it…” Talia shrugged.
“It really makes all of the difference, even if it’s a hard sell sometimes. But, I’ll let you get back to your life…thank you for talking with me. We need to hang out more, don’t you think?”

He didn't comment further on whether or not he was doing something right. He had the marks to prove he'd done at least one thing wrong.. "...At least you have that.." Ahri mumbled quietly. He hadn't even had that much. All he knew was being a youma, and even after purifying, that had been a bit of a haze.
He blushed at the kiss, fidgeting in his seat with a slight nod. "I'll ask him, see if he knows anything or can point me somewhere." He paused for a moment, thinking. "...Asking Soleiyu, or any of the other cats, could work too... They always seem to know something's up before we do..."
Ahri nodded. "It's hard to remember that you're not alone.. Especially when the universe seems hell bent on making it seem so." Something he thought about often. "We could always do a movie marathon, it is Halloween after all..."
