Quote: Regularly Scheduled Programming (3) : With Halloween just around the corner, television stations are constantly playing various spooky themed movies and episodes of your favorite shows. When you sit down to watch something in particular, the screen goes static. You try to change the channel but every one of them is static. If you continue to watch (or attempt to fix the television), an eerie voice comes across the speakers begging for help and that they're coming. No matter what you do or say, they only repeat the same phrases. When you turn off the television and turn it back on again, everything has turned to its regularly scheduled programming.. Mason had thankfully chosen to stay a few days with him, he really did appreciate Mason spending so much time with him. He'd done his best to let Mason know this, via various means. Today he was making something to eat, nothing fancy or complicated, and in the background he had the tv on in the living room.
It wasn't uncommon for Halloween themed shows and movies to be on, you could flip channels and nearly every time you'd stop it would land on something Halloween themed - even cooking shows. It was, in part, why he didn't bother to try and change it off the Disney show Halloween Town. He'd seen it once, when it had first come out, with a younger family member of his.
As it played on in the background he worked on cutting up a few vegitables he'd had delivered to his door earlier in the day. He was still determined to get his groceries delivered, along with everything else he needed, for the rest of the month. Depending on how December went he might need to do it than as well, though he sort of hoped not.
It was when he heard the annyoing, and rather loud, sound of static on his tv that he set down what he was working on and eyed Katya. "Keep the dogs from trying to snitch any food." She had been in the kitchen with him, keeping him company according to her, while reading a book. He did note her look up, nod her head, and go back to her book...but she did seem to keep glancing towards the food he'd been working on. Knowing the food was safe, she wasn't about to let someone get it, he headed for the living room slowly. "The tv can't be broke..." Right?

Mason had been napping on the couch, lulled by the noises of both the movie and Alex in the kitchen. He'd jumped at the sudden sound of the static, which sent the rather log dog that had been napping with him, and partially on him, tumbling a short way to the floor before bolting off. The blonde blinked at the smaller man, confused for a moment before looking at the tv... "I didn't hit a remote did I?" He asked.
No, Alex had taken the remotes, Mason could see them on the counter.
"You just bought this tv didn't you?" There's no way it could be broken that quickly. "Maybe it's a connection issue." Something could be wrong with the cables. Perhaps it was on the providers end, and not theirs.

Staring at the tv he nodded his head slowly to Mason's question. "Y-yeah....last black friday." So not too recentlyh but it was still fairly new. It should not be the tv but why would the provider be an issue? Moving slowly, almost on autopilot, he went to grab a remote and settle on the couch near enough to Mason.
"Had a good nap?" He questioned, wanting to try and make light of whatever was going on. With it being fall, and near enough to Halloween, for strange things to happen and the spiders Alexandre was on edge. He couldn't help it really, and who could blame him.
Hitting the up chanel button, figuring he'd go up a single chanel and all would be fine, he wasn't amused when it was still nothing but static. At least it started that way - just static. Soon he heard a voice and he pointed, hand shooting out and a finger pointed at the tv screen. "Mason....you hear that too - right?"

"It was till Anubis decided I didn't need to breathe while sleeping..." He muttered, rubbing at his face. The blonde stretched before settling next to the smaller man. "It happens, doesn't it? Maybe they're working on the cable lines? It was too late for digging plants, so it couldn't be someone in their garden.. Not unless someone was really eager for next spring...
The voice spoke up and Mason eyed the tv warily. "... Could it be an ad for something you think?" Mason took the remote from Alex, attempting to channel surf, only to find static and noises on each. "...All right, whatever this is, someone's got way to much time on their hands."

"That's what happens when you have a large dog as a pet, they think they aren't a big dog and they decide to lay on you." He'd heard people, at the pet store, complain about their large dogs acting like lap dogs. Anubis seemed to fit the bill as well, not that Alexandre minded much. Pressing himself to Mason's side he grabbed for a blanket to wrap them botrh up in.
"No, we'd have gotten a notice if someone was digging in the backyard..." And he'd be up in arms over it. He had worked hard on the backyard, it wasn't a big backyard as he'd have liked but he'd made due, he worked hard on the greenhouse and the grass and keeping it as neat and well maintained as he could. He took care of it on his own, rather than calling in people to mow his backyard and trim things. He did it all...even handling the fall leaves. He would not let someone dig up his backyard and ruin it.
Watching as Mason tried his luck he shook his head. "I don't like it...." Especially when they started asking for help, nearly pleading by the sound of the voice. "That's...creepy." Shivering a bit he stared at the tv. "I mean considering we've been pulled into tv's in the past...." Someone really could be trapped inside a tv.
