Rest in Peace (4) : While making your way through Destiny City, you wind up taking a path you’ve never taken before. Maybe you’re following directions, maybe you got lost, maybe you were just looking for a shortcut—things were going well, until you wind up needing to pass through a graveyard. It seems normal enough—until you pass by a grave and get a powerful chill down your spine. When you stop and look at it, you see the gravestone has your name; beneath it, your birthday and today’s date. If you leave and return, the gravestone remains, but the name and dates look like they’ve been clawed off.

It had been a while since had had powered up again to go around and try to do… something as a Dark Mirror. There wasn’t much to do he felt compared to the others. Order could fight against the Negaverse and vice versa, Order could also repair their Homeworlds and the Negaverse, well he didn’t really know what all they did, but they at least seemed to be quite the planners. As a Dark Mirror though? He could go around draining energy of going through the MIrrorverse, now that it would allow him as a Super to do so by himself and gather crystals to go and work on his little area in Mirrorspace, but was that all there was to it?

He still hadn’t gotten an answer to this question, and it was starting to bother him more. It was something that he had mulled over often and had been too afraid to ask Itokawa. He would have to ask him soon. The coming cold meant that that they would be staying indoors more often even if they had some protection from the freezing weather. So, they would be able to talk together more often. And that would allow him to ask questions that had been on his mind since he had become a Dark Mirror. Questions besides the basics. Questions about the future, what were their goals, would the Mirroverse be too shrouded in questions for them to ever get any answers?

He had been so lost in thought that he had turned down what he though was another alleyway yet somehow, he had found himself in a graveyard. Although the atmosphere was a bit spooky considering what was celebrated during the month, he wasn’t afraid of the gravestones and found himself investigating some of the names on them. What was eerie however was he could barely make out any of them. While he didn’t believe his English was perfect, he should be able to at least discern the letting on them, right? All of them appeared to be too faded or even destroyed to be able to read, as though someone was going around and messing them up on purpose.

After attempting to read a few more he finally found a gravestone that he could read and while at first, he had been delighted, it slowly turned to fear as he realized his name was on there, along with his birth date and today. Wasn’t the second date the day that they had become deceased? What did that mean for him?!

He stumbled backwards a bit when the realization hit him and for a moment, he had been unable to move afterward. When he was finally able to control his limbs again, he scrambled up and started to run away from the graveyard, not wanting to stay in case it was some sort of warning, perhaps telling him that if he stayed for too long that he truly wouldn’t make it to the next day. Still, it had been so unsettling that he had immediately run back to the apartment he shared with New, wanting to tell the other about it and ask if such things came true or if there was something truly going on with the city like when they were abducted into that foggy village.
