[ Goran 1 ]
Goran was tasked to meet his cousin out in the village, to welcome her back. Of course, he didn't mind such a task...Suria was nice enough and didn't really pressure him to be anything he wasn't. She was like an older sister, being so close in age to Taliessin, and she brought to many fun stories from Sulburi. Someday he hoped to travel out there just like his sister and see the city, but for now he was content to help his family out, especially in the little garden in their home.

Suria was so used to the trip that she didn't think much of the process these days. Not the heat of the travels, the people she traveled with, or the trip length. She almost found it a bit bittersweet, considering she didn't expect to do this trip much longer.
As she approached Goran, she waved out at him and rushed over, rubbing his hair playfully in greeting.

He let out a cry of indignation, showing emotion he didn't often show to others. But Suria was family, an older sister he knew since he could walk, and so he was comfortable enough to interact with her. Grinning, he provided a greeting back.
"Safe trip?" He asked simply, stepping out of reach and excited to see he was about as tall as the petite girl before him.

She let out a bark of a laugh at the smaller boy's reaction, grinning toward him with a playfulness. She had older brothers, but to tease a younger one was so much fun. She always felt a little left out being the middle child of such experiences, at least until Goran and Tihomir were born.
"It was uneventful, I have to admit." She said with a shrug, "It's the same old thing."

He wished she had a few more stories to tell, but understood. Nodding, he glanced back toward their village.
"Mom and Dad will be happy to see you, and Tali. She's been so bored without Aria around. Not sure why she still sticks around the village..."
He mumbled the last part, not paying too much attention to the scuffle that was beginning in the distance where another set of travelers were unloading some boxes.

Suria was a bit more preceptive than her younger cousin, and took quick note of the noise coming from across the camp. Letting out a low hum, she narrowed her eyes a moment before shaking her head.
"I think that was the group that came with me...they were transporting beasts from Jauhar to one of the other islands. I think for the Aishans..." She said slowly.

The Aishans? Goran hadn't seen any of them around, outside of the few hybrids that were in the dance hall. And even then, they were diluted, and so it was rare he saw one beyond them passing through. And many didn't have beasts from their homeland.
Stepping a little closer and standing on his toes, he peered out toward them before a loud cry caused him to step back.
The scrambling group seemed to be chasing to try and contain something Did one just get out?

Being the daughter of a master beast tamer, Suria was much more aware of what was going on and immediately caught sight of the Radaku racing their way. Cursing, she realized these men must have captured the beasts known to be difficult to tame, and overestimated their ability to contain them.
"Goran, get out of the way." She said firmly, moving them both away from the path the creature moved. If she was her father, she might have attempted to tame it, but for now she wanted to make sure they wouldn't get hurt.
"That's a Radaku. Clearly untamed. Stay away from it's tail!" She shouted the last part at other lingering bystanders, who jumped away as well.

He had no idea what was happening and found himself quivering as he moved farther back than his cousin. However he was still his father's son, and he reached out to yank a youngling back who was wandering over in excitement.
The Radaku raced by with a roar, slapping it's tail to keep everyone away. It seemed more interested in escaping into the woods than hurting anyone, but still he kept the others away until it was long gone and the handlers rushed by cursing in frustration.

She whistled as the creature raced by, appreciating the soft pastel colors. It was quite the beauty, and a shame it would be racing away. Maybe she could get a tamer in the area to capture it, she'd appreciate such thing on her travels. But for now, she just smirked and giggled at the scrambling men. They were no match for the beast.

"Everyone ok?" He asked gruffly, and the group nodded and began to disperse. Moving toward Suria, he noticed she was chuckling a bit.
"Well that was eventful..." He grumbled at her, looking to where she was.

"Oh yeah, kid." She laughed back, "I don't think they'll catch that one...full grown beauty, but cleared not tamed. Shame."
He let out a soft sigh before turning and slinging her arm over her shoulder, "Alright, go ahead and escort me home, Mr. Knight."

He groaned, resisted throwing her off his shoulder, and began to walk them back. He made sure to grab her pack as they went, his grumbling turning into a smile quickly. He was glad to see her again, and couldn't wait to spend time with her and his family. It was always nice to see his cousin.

As they walked back, Suria knew she'd have to get the beast, but for now she pondered what meals she'd be treated to and how the rest of the Matori family was doing. She wasn't sure if she'd be back again in awhile, so she wanted to make sure to spend quality time with this side of her little family.
