6 - 10 : Mudslide
It has been a dry few weeks, and many were excited about the rains coming in. But alas, it seems that too much rain has caused a mudslide. The damage isn't bad, but there might be a few people missing that need to be tracked down.

The rainy season was something he didn't enjoy, as it resulted in him being pent up inside and away from his plants. Goran was unimpressed with such activities, and found himself just looking out the window and the drenching rains of the monsoon that seemed to park itself over their little isle town.
The only plus side was Suria was here, stuck as much as he, and couldn't leave until the rains had passed. It seemed she too found the cabin fever stifling, and was pouting along with him in between trying to find mindless games to pass the time. He appreciated her presence, an elder sister just like his others.

Indeed, she was pouting, though unlike the boy she was laying on a low couch with her head all but arched off the end. Her long ponytail pooled against the ground, and every so often she would glance over toward the window at the dreary day and heave another sigh.
Thinking of a new game to play, she called out to the young boy, "Let's do a word game, I say a word and you say another word that starts with the last letter."
Not her most favorite of games, but she was desperate for something to pass the time.

He nodded at the recommendation, it seemed reasonable enough even if it was a game for younglings.
"Alright." He voiced out loud, his eyes still tracking the rains outside as he watched a few people rushing away from the waters. They seemed distressed, but it was hard to tell with the haze from the downpour.

"Let's see..." She sighed out again, her eyes looking at the mud-thatched ceiling as the rain made a gentle symphony across the roof high above. Surely the performers in the second floor were being overwhelmed by the noise, but here in the family area it was a bit soothing.
"Snapptrotter." She started off, always defaulting to a familiar thanks to growing up around them.

Snapptrotter, well at least it was an easy one. And immediately he turned to look at her with a grin, "Radaku."
Turning back to look outside, he noticed a few more people were running in the opposite direction of where the first few went, and he narrowed his eyes to lean forward.

Oh ho ho, what a cheeky cousin of hers. She sent him a glare in response to his grin, but was unperturbed by the response. However before she could think of something (or conveniently enough) one of the performers rushed inside from the rain.
"There's a mudslide, they need people to help!"

The dancer running in caused Goran to shift suddenly to attention. Blinking as the dancer continued on to get more help, he turned toward Suria with a bit of a panicked expression.
"We've got to help." He said quickly.

As the girl ran in, Suria didn't really move. Her head still draped over the couch as she watched the dancer rush off. It was only when Goran spoke up that she let out a sigh and sat up fully, her head spinning from the rush for just a moment before she looked at him with a raised brow.
"How can we possibly help?"

He opened his mouth as if to reply, before closing it with uncertainty. A few of the dancers were now on their way outside, covered in whatever rain gear they had. Goran watched them for a moment before looking back at Suria, unintentionally showing a pouting face and watery eyes.

"Goran, sweetie." She replies with a bit of exasperation, "Sweetheart. What are we going to be able to do? You're a teenager and I'm a frail woman. Frankly, we'd get in the way if they needed us to dig up someone from a mudslide.
"
She waved her hand toward the door, "Plus, look at everyone already going to help. Your whole village must be out in the rain."

He took a moment to thoughtfully consider Suria's response. His cousin wasn't one to get her hands dirty, or her hair wet, even though she was a strong woman. And her point about others rushing to the rescue was true.
Yet his own personal values, and how his father raised him, caused him to disagree.

Gosh what a soft heart he had. Suria couldn't blame him, considering his family. But the Oban raised girl was much more familiar with how things were ran at home. The Oban army would come running to help in such a disaster.
"You know what. Go for it...I'll hold down the fort." She replied with a smirk.

He looked at her for a long moment before shaking his head and going to grab a water-resistant top. Moving quickly, he waved to her as he went outside and into the rain, following the crowd to go help however he can, even if it's just moving buckets around or keeping the path clear.

As Goran left, she let out a sigh and leaned back against the couch, looking up at the ceiling and listening to the rain a bit longer before yawning and decided she would head upstairs and take a nap.
Surely, if she was needed, someone would find her. For now, she was content knowing she was out of everyone's way.
